Affordable but not egregiously ugly lounge chair options?

Please delete if against the rules. Not quite sure if this fits in here.

I just moved into a new apartment and am well, broke as shit. I'm looking to add a nice lounge/easy chair, or maybe even a small sofa situation to the living room, but am running into a wall as I can't really afford anything super cool.

Any interesting recs I should be looking into?

I picked up these esko chairs and they have been sitting in a smokers house! Is there any way to get rid of the smoke smell or is my best bet to replace the cushions and everything? Any help would be grateful! They have been sitting in my garage for months and would love to use them finally.
