I emailed Ian MacKaye at the FLS, and 3712 is where Brendan Canty and Guy Picciotto lived when this show happened (3712 Garfield St. NW, Washington, D.C.). Fun fact: Ian was largely involved in the making of this flyer with the artist Ian Svenonius.
September 3, 1987 - Wilson Center, Washington, D.C. with Marginal Man, Ignition, and Fire Party. Recorded by Joey Picuri, mastered by Fugazi. Original source: Cassette, good sound quality.
This is Fugazi's first show, played as a three piece. Played as a benefit for State of the Union Compilation. Previously released on CD (FLS01)
SLC 4-14-2001 (venue: BRICKS) was my first and only Fugazi Live experience. Day before Easter. Thank the vast eternal randomness that we made the road trip from Boise.
If anyone wants to talk about the show, I’d love it.
ALSO: I know there’s no recording of the show, but if you or anyone has any photos or videos (of any length), it’d be an incredible gift if you could share them with me and others here.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
