Hi there,

Over the weekend I went on a trip and was driving for 6hrs. During this I started to notice my transmission acting a bit strangely. Usually when slowing down for a roundabout the gearbox downshifts but on a number of occasions I was almost at a stop and the transmission was still in 6th gear which did not seem right to me. There was also a few questionable shift that seems too early or late.

Not sure if this is connected but at cruising speed I could feel a buzzing vibration through the chassis which is new. It did not feel like a wheel balance issue. What could be up with my Transmission and could an issue with this cause a vibration. Car has 48K Miles.

Does anyone think the gen3 ECU’s will be able to be unlocked within the next 6 months? Because if I cant tune my 330i soon i’m thinking of just buying a salvaged m340 or m3.
