Any headset recommendations?

This mouse is the highest quality piece of hardware I have ever seen in my entire life, even more impressive with how fucked the market is with shit that doesn't even last a year.

That said, any good headset recommendations? I'd like one of similar quality to this mouse if possible, like nothing crazy just something I won't need to buy again next year. I really want something with a microphone and a volume control with mic mute button. Thanks for any suggestions!

All I want in life is a mouse that invokes the mac App Switcher exactly like the keyboard with no external software.

I finally replaced my g500 after fifteen years. This is ... better, but not there yet. What I want is:
Mouse button down: cmd+tab, release tab.
Mouse button up: release cmd.

Not that hard. It's not entirely logitech's fault, mac blocks this pretty effectively too but it blows my mind that two companies built around slick user interactions can't figure this out.

Is this Logitech G502 X Fake ?

I just received a brand new Logitech G502 X (wired), sold as new in Amazon US from the seller Sales For You, and something about the packaging seems really odd.

What seems odd:

  • It has some chinese characters next to the logitech brand.
  • The front of the box has two perpendicular cuts (forming a 90° angle) on the plastic wrap, right over the mouse image.
  • They don't look like accidental scratches, they look like intentional cuts and they have 2 rounded seals that are completely different from the regulars on top and bottom of the box

Other than that:

  • The box looks fine.
  • The side seals appear intact.
  • I haven't opened the box yet because I'm not sure what I'm dealing with.

An agent in amazon asked me to return the mouse in order to give me a full refund. I've been a prime amazon client for 12 years so I asked for a refund and to not send stuff in this poor status again and they accepted so I get to keep this "thing" without have to bother with the return. I was looking to sell it but I don't even know what's inside, it could be anything lmao.

Has anyone seen a mouse "sealed" like this before? Could this be fake, refurbished with swapped parts, or am I missing something?

After 8 years I’m replacing mine.

The middle mouse button locker gets stuck and I can’t free spin anymore. Besides this thing was abused. The keys have a crack on the left and right click. Silicone has craters from the times I’ve gripped.

The new cord isn’t threaded which I hate. But it doesn’t matter as long as she lasts another 8 years!

I betrayed my g502 and now I'm regretting it

My first ever "high-end" mouse was g502 wireless. Bought I think about 5-6 years back. I loved it so much that I bought into the powerplay mat system so that it's seamless. I'm getting old and the left click started to get stuck or mis-clicks so I bought a new G Pro X Dex for its weight and form factor.

Oh boy what a stupid move. It's much lighter which is good, but the height makes it tiring to use. Anyone face the same problem? I'm probably gonna sell this or use for office work instead but I still need a replacement for my g502.

Question time:

  1. How is the G502X? I heard it sounds horrible. Is it the same as the G Pro X Dex? The Dex sounds ok to me so if it's the same, I'll probably get that.

  2. Any lightweight alternatives to the G502? G502X is 100g and Dex is 60g which I've gotten quite used to. I think 80g is a reasonable weight range now that I'm getting old. My tendons and non-existent muscles are crying. If anyone has tried both Dex and G502X, please let me know your thoughts!

Appreciate all the help I can get.

X Hand Irritation on LED Strip

I finally upgraded from my trusty ol' G502 Proteus Spectrum to the G502 X Plus, as it was on sale for £90. I am really not liking the way it feels in my hand where the LED strip is. Is there anything I can do to cover it or fill the gap (LEDs are turned off anyway)? Has anyone else experienced the same discomfort?

For a bit more context, I'm a climber and have a permanent callus on my palm which the LED "crack" touches, and it feels awful. I'm also neurodivergent so sensory discomforts like this are really hard for me to zone out or get used to.

I'm honestly tempted to sell it and stick to my old one. I was really looking forward to having a new wireless mouse though, and the battery life is crazy good with the LEDs off, so ideally I'd like to find a solution. Any help or shared feelings of discomfort are appreciated.

Mouse skipping and not clicking

Hi everyone,
I turned my PC this morning and my G502 Hero (wired) is updating like 2 times per second and clicks are not working properly. Mouse1 become side button etc. I got another mouse and it works fine, it is only with this G502. I did reinstall GHUB since I thought its something with profiles but it was my default profile active and reinstall did not solve anything. Did anyone had this issue before? Its weird because it worked perfectly fine for all the time I had it. My PC shows G502 but GHUB is not detecting it

The time has come

After 9 years I'm replacing my proteus spectrum with the hero. It survived literally my whole gaming journey with me, since I started playing games more seriously to the time I stopped. It even survived having the cable burnt with a candle at christmas.

A month ago it stopped middle mouse clicking so I replaced the switch and painted the wheel. Now it's started double clicking and I decided I'm not gonna put up with this. Today I plugged in the hero and the difference is night and day, I feel the same as when I switched from 59.9hz to 165hz, but with the mouse.

That's basically it, the whole post. If anybody has any cool ideas what to do with the old mouse let me know, I wanted to frame it ans hang it on the wall but that's kind of boring I think.
