Guys I filled the form, submitted the documents and paid the fee for Advt. 5/2026-27 Mains. I also downloaded the receipts for the same. Did all of that about a week or so ago.
I received an email today from GPSC. It had been sent from the handle of one of the officials, I guess. I was in the “bcc”.
It was a reminder to fill the form, submit the documents and pay the fee. And a pdf of the same instructions was attached.

Did anyone else receive it too, after filling the form and completing the entire process?

Did I miss something ? A little confused.

due to ongoing GJ HC proceedings, HC recommended not to proceed with mains until final verdict

18th August today, and exactly a month ago, on 18th July, the DySO result was declared.

Now, the STI exam was held exactly a month after the DySO exam… so is there any chance the STI result could also drop today?

Probably just me connecting dots that may not even exist, but still…

I’m 21M and recently started my career in an IT company. It’s been only a short time, but I’ve already started feeling like I don’t want to live this kind of work life for the rest of my career.

I’m now thinking of preparing for government exams alongside my IT job. I’ve already filled out forms for SSC CGL, GPSC and GSSSB exams, but honestly, I don’t know much about how to start or which exams/jobs I should realistically target.

I’d really appreciate some advice from people who have gone through this:

1. What government jobs/exams should I target as a B.Tech graduate in Gujarat?

2. What are some good books, YouTube channels, websites or other resources for preparation?

3. How should I start preparing while working a full-time IT job?

Any advice, personal experiences, or things you wish you knew before starting would be really helpful. Thanks!

Hey guys I am searching for some good mains test series so that while I am preparing notes I can get a good hang of writing answers in a time bound and effective way.

Can you guys suggest some good and affordable mains test series? I was thinking of amit academy but found that they are quite nascent

How many questions are expected in GS papers in Mains this year (class 1-2 2026-27 Advt 5) ?
Advert 240 had 15 questions, to be answered in 3 hours.
Any changes incoming this year?
Any other updates on number of pages per question, etc ?

So my 10th marksheet doesn't have my DOB and i do not have a credit certificate... i just filled my form through gseb's online website for credit certificate but they say it will arrive in 10-12 working days.... please i require your urgent help if you can guide through further course in this situation.... should i go to the office in gandhinagar for gseb and get credit certificate or should i call the GPSC guys?????

Guys, is anyone who's appearing for Mains Adv 5 also feeling constant exhaustion? I have been trying to put more hours for study but could put more than 7-7.5. and that too 5 days a week. Other two days are just 4 hours max. The mains preparation is intense and it has left me more lonelier than ever before. It's been a week since I have stepped out of my house...I don't know how to become more efficient. I have seen my friends putting 8-9hours...

Recently I had class 2 exam last Sunday but it was all in Gujarati and I was confused to solve that paper in 1 hr. So are there other exams which I can try ? I am from BE IT Background.

If anyone , who has appeared in 2025 mains class 1 2 , could you clarify whether the number pages for 15 marker were 2 or more in that specific year?

Is caste certificate required even from UnReserved (UR) (general) category candidates?

Someone said you need to produce a certificate as a proof of your basic computer knowledge.
Is this necessary to be submitted with the mains form, or does it have to be submitted at the time of the interview?

If someone has “computer education” mentioned in their 10th class marksheet (only in 10th, not present in 12th class marksheet) will this be sufficient or will they have to produce a separate certificate?
