These dumbass “designers” don’t understand a basic reality of gacha games.
There are a lot of them. All of them are vying for your attention and money, and all of them are rolling out character after character to get you to play.
The biggest mistake a designer can make for a character isn’t making it too unrealistic or too gooner. It’s to make it too boring. Too generic, unoriginal, uninspired, cookie-cutter of a design will lose players.
These idiots don’t understand that the characters are part of the advertising for the game. If the character doesn’t make you stop for a second look, for whatever reason, that design just isn’t good.
These tourists want realism and less gooner designs. They don’t understand those kind of designs not only aren’t in the spirit of ZZZ, they also don’t draw in more players.
If your character design is a dime a dozen, what differentiates your game from the many others with muh realistic armor, muh urban designs?
ZZZ was always gooner, but apparently now the gooner is too lazy and isn’t tasteful anymore. Bruh how is Jane raising your chin with her feet suddenly tasteful? How is being able to see Anby’s panties if you were to just pick something up next to her now realistic? Anby is a soldier and a warrior, and her panty strings peeking out from over her skirt is realistic urban design now?
I’ve seen comments like yesterday lamenting that Sunbringer isn’t ZZZ’s Arlecchino, because of her “slutty” design (I’m so thankful for that btw). These clowns’ obsession with pants flies against every principle of generating interest and marketing your characters.
Sigrid isn’t a generic armor woman with horse ears for a reason. Sunbringer doesn’t have the usual pants and suit women in high positions wear for a reason.
I know critical thinking and unbiased review is literally impossible for these self righteous pricks, but their opinions make you think this is some kind of advanced stupid.

Apparently, the usual suspects HATE that ship. In line with the second slide, it's very much clear that the only reason they're pulling the bisexual card is to justify them shipping a canonically straight woman with another woman. Now that an actual bisexual ship takes off, they hate that too.
Well, people in this sub are aware of this. We always know that they don't actually support bisexuality, they're only using it as an excuse. Now they're attacking their own community, even calling the ship as 'hetslop'.
They don't support yuri. They simply hate men.
There has been a trend in recent years of people wanting for every single game, product, or thing to be more "inclusive," and that unfortunately has infected gacha games. For some reason, nearly every single gacha game community is now infested by people decrying companies for not having characters that are Yuri or Yaoi or whatever the like. But at the end of the day, it is their choice to make, not yours, and complaining about it isn't going to change anything but leading to more arguments that mean absolutely nothing. These games are made for a certain audience, and if it doesn't match yours, then why don't you just accept that and move on? There are hundreds of other games that would fit those interests perfectly. And if you like the game but it doesn't have the inclusion you want, then why don't you keep playing while accepting the fact it may not have the inclusivity you desired it to have?
But no, every single game has to have some sort of "representation," forced or not, regardless of the creators' wishes. People go on these deluded tirades about how characters are gay or lesbian or whatever, and how it's absolutely not anything but a head canon, in spite of the fact that they harass people over it and treat it as if it is.
I'm glad that certain games have taken a firm stance against this (Nikke, FGO, Blue Archive) by making clear to people what audiences their games are for, but other games have resorted to teetering the line, and thus allowing for people to fill fandoms with their delusion.
TLDR: Gacha games are made by their creators--not yuri fans. Let them create, instead of forcing them to pander to your tastes.
Its funny because Nikke is already considered mainstream for a gooner ML game and its doing very well in revenue but some people really want Hoyo levels of mainstream so the tourists can ruin everything.
