WIFI connected but no internet

So a while ago (month or two) my wife's and my phone started having an issue with wifi. It's not just our home wifi, it's in general. Public networks, friends and family home networks, work... Even when we make one phone a hotspot and the other connect to it.

Sometimes the phone randomly just says connected to wifi but no internet. A phone restart solves it. It connects right away. Then it will work for a while and then randomly the issue appears.

My wife and I bought our phones brand new at the same time. We started having the issue like 2 weeks apart. Of course, I am suspecting some recent updates. We keep our tech and phones up to date.

My home network is solid, no other devices face connectivity issues.

I have tried the phone network reset options, MAC being randomized and not randomized... All the usual stuff you can find online.

Did anyone else experience this issue recently?

Anyone else dealing with terrible mobile data lately?

For the past two months, my mobile data has been really unreliable. Sometimes I can barely make phone calls, and I’m constantly dealing with weak signal or no internet at all, even in places where I used to have no issues.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Could this be related to a recent network/software update, or is it more likely that something is wrong with my phone?

Would appreciate hearing if others are having the same problem.

My galaxy A54 is still going strong and I don't regret buying it!

I got this phone the year it came out, I got the 256/8 variant and it's still going strong! No lag, good battery, super fast charging, good camera, etc... I only use my phone for social media, call, SMS, and some light gaming and honestly I couldn't be more happier. It's just sad that I have to change it after 2 years cz Samsung will stop giving us security updates.

Tip if your a54 lags a lot on startup.

I've had my a54 for 3 years now and was confused why it lagged so bad sometimes when i looked at ram plus and realised it uses the phones storage so i turned it offand since about 3 weeks ago it has been perfectly fine no issues or lag and feels new again.

Why can't I make calls while using Waze

Hi for some reason I can't make calls with Google assistant or Gemini while I am in Waze. I always get the message "sorry I don't understand"

It 1dt started happening on my Samsung Galaxy a54 and now I have upgraded my phone to a pixel 10 and I am still getting this problem.

I have tried fixing permissions but maybe I am just not doing it right. I honestly don't know.

Has anyone else had this issue and hopefully knows how to fix it please.

Thanks.

My battery is performing terribly

I’ve used my Galaxy A54 for around three years. Recently, it has started turning off and on by itself. The original battery might still show 30–40% charge, but after restarting, it drops to 0% and forces the phone to shut down. Even when I’m not using the phone, the battery drains very quickly. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I’m considering replacing the battery, but I might also look for a new phone. Any recommendations? I’d also appreciate advice on how to back up my phone.

Calls Go in and Out

Hey guys,

I'm actually writing about my mom's phone. It's a Samsung Galaxy A54 on the Metro PCS network.

About 3 weeks ago, she started having some issues with her phone calls. The call can start fine, but after a little while, it'll start breaking up like it's losing signal, then it'll just go completely silent. Neither person on the call can hear anything on their end. Then after 30 seconds to a minute or so, the call will come back and be just fine. Then after a little while longer, it'll start all over again.

The weird thing is that if she's doing a video call through Facebook Messenger or another app, everything works just fine. The connection and quality is stable, and the audio is clear and consistent, so I don't think it's a microphone issue.

I've tried rebooting the phone, and also cleaning and reseating the SIM. I made sure WiFi calling was disabled and I've checked her mobile signal. It's connected at 5G UC with full bars. I've also tried disconnecting and reconnecting to the mobile network. Nothing seems to help.

I'm sort of leaning towards maybe a bad SIM? But I'm not sure. My next thing to try would be removing the physical SIM and activating an eSIM, but haven't had a chance to do that yet.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Emergency calls only but can text and use internet

Ok, so my phone updated to the 8.5 last night. Woke up this morning with it saying "emergency calls only" kinda started freaking out cuz I do Amazon Flex as a second job and need my phone. After some test I am still able to use my 5G for network, and even text. My settings say I'm not roaming. Samsung and my carrier have not been too helpful. Any ideas?

A54 heats up when connecting to mobile data and doesn't connect to signal?

So, I've had this phone for like 3 years still. in the 1.5 years, i stopped using it for mobile data because

  1. it literally heats up to 100 Celsius whenever i turn on the mobile data function. i know because i put a droplet of water on it, and it quite literally started to bubble up!

  2. the signal bars vanish when i turn on mobile data. it becomes no signal sign when my other phone clearly shows 4G and 5G signal using the same telecom provider.

I've asked the samsung help centre and they're saying they have to do a diagnostics and do a factory reset on the phone and it costs 300 bucks just to find out what it is (not including repair costs wtf). i have a lot of things backed up and i'd like to not spend 300 bucks on a dead end.

anyone got any previous experiences with this as well?

Samsung A54 battery

Hello

I wanted to ask about something that's really starting to drive me crazy.

My phone's battery, fully charged, was showing 10 hours and 36 minutes of battery life. This worried me, so I went to get it replaced. (I've had the phone for a few years now, and apart from that, it was working perfectly.)

I knew the battery would last longer in a working phone because a friend of mine, with the same model and age, gets almost twice as much battery life.

The thing is, even after a couple of charge cycles and restarts, the phone is still showing 10 hours and 36 minutes of battery life. I know the battery was replaced, but it hasn't changed. In principle, it shouldn't be a problem; I've looked it up, and it can take a few charge cycles, but I have no idea. It's the first time this has happened, and I'm really worried that nothing has changed.

Does anyone have any advice? The phone is otherwise working perfectly, and nothing bad has happened since the battery replacement. My only doubt is whether I should wait longer or do something specific.
