Does the newest UI update ruin the phone?

I have seen people complain about how the newest update has made their battery life shorter or it caused several bugs and issues and i have been wondering if i should update my phone or not (it's on UI 8.0 right now).

My phone keeps reminding me to update it and it's really annoying, but i'm scared to do so because of all the bad things i hear about it.

I have had my A55 for 2 years now, and it has started to do odd things and slow down so i really don't want to make it worse by an update. I want to use this phone for as long as possible, but i'm starting to feel like samsung is purposefully designing their phones to start working less and less year by year 😅

Please share your experiences with me, if you have any! ^^

Does 2x zoom destroys image quality?

I know it's not optical, but 1x seems too wide for me.

Galaxy A55 UI lagg

For a while now, whenever I pull down the notification bar, open the Quick panel, or open the Apps screen, the animations stutter, and sometimes there’s a delay in response. (This happens with pretty much every system animation.)

Can this be fixed, or is this just a typical “we don’t care about the A-series” problem from Samsung?

And yes, I checked what might be running in the background and putting a strain on the processor—there’s nothing that would cause this. I also turned off GoodLock.

Is the A55 gonna get one UI 9 and if so by when will it stop receiving updates?

Been wondering the life of the A55 has actually been doing pretty well with constant updates. What I wanna know is will one UI 9 be the last update for A55 or can we expect maybe a one UI 9,5 or even 10 ?

A55 Problems

Hi, sorry for my English, I'm a Spanish speaker, but I was surprised to find a community here.

I recently had a problem with my Samsung A55; its battery swelled up. I've had this device for two years, and it's very strange to me since I've had mid-range or low-end Samsung devices and I've never had a battery swell up before.

Putting my situation aside for a moment, I wanted to know if any of you also experience your device getting hot for no reason or overheating when opening everyday apps like Instagram or YouTube. This used to happen to me long before the battery swelled up.

I would like to know about your experiences or problems with this device.

Muchas Gracias! / Thank you!

Anyone here with charging issues? Charger moves

I don't know what's going on. I read that the port might be dirty so I cleaned it but the problem still exists.

Here is a photo of the port. Is the yellow part normal?

Using a conceptual wallpaper of the Galaxy A47 5G if it were to exist.

I made the wallpaper for the Galaxy A47 and changed the colors.

Screen replacement😭

So my phone got wet in the rain, and after around 2 hours I noticed a small blue spot at the edge of the screen. Thought it was just some random glitch... restarted the phone and left it

A few minutes later, the blue spot started spreading... and that’s when I realised I fked up

Took this photo around 2 hours after I noticed it..by the next morning whole screen turned black

Fast forward 2 days(there is no stock of a55 screen where i live) ......had to get the whole screen replaced 🥲

Be safe guys, DON’T get your phone wet in the rain

Learned that lesson the expensive way

I tested today how long my battery can last, and the results are pretty good for a phone that's a year and a half old (mine at least).

8 hours and 30 minutes, seems pretty good, I would say...

Help me save my battery

I barely get 3.5-4 hrs SOT for doing basic stuff. No games, no hotspot. Mostly it's run on wifi data. What to do? Phone is 1 year 3 months old. Please suggest 🙏🏻

Should iswitch to s23 plus or not ?

I received a tempting offer to trade my A55 for an S23 Plus, but I don't know what to do. Should I accept it or refuse it? Are there any differences between them? Is the processor and everything else better? Thank you all.

Backing up photos to google photos

Probably been here before but can't find it. I have just backed up all my photos and videos to my google account. If I delete the photos im samsung gallery it would still be backed up in the Photos app right? Don't want to delete all my photos and videos

Thanks and sorry for the possibly trivial question
