If you had to estimate what you spend your cards on what would be the breakdown
How often do you activate hearts or spades and then no second activation?
How often do you use each second activation?
Does it make sense to "sit" with hearts or spades active for a while before using the second mode?
Are you usually activating hearts/spades then immediately 2nd active?
Edit: Appreciate all the insight so far, thanks for commenting. This came up because a fellow gamer and I were at odds on "proper" card usage
Hello Gambinos Loki player here 👋 pretty simple question when you guys pop your ult in team fights do you generally hit everyone on the team? If so how? Most of the time I turn into Gambit I either
A) Walk around like a dumb ass for 5 years trying to line everyone up only for the game to drop me to 2 people right before I pop it anyway or someone dies
Or
B) I try to pop it fast and I still get 2 people
It's mildly annoying because it feels like the worst of both worlds either I take too long and people die or someone bitches they didn't get it
Let me preface this, it's been a rough as hell week for me. My oldest got sick, my youngest has been up all night... so my form is nowhere near peak right now. I'm on a stupid quest to gain Lord for all the strategists, so when push comes to shove I'll be well versed in all healing roles for comp if they ban my mains (White Fox, CnD, Luna, Adam Warlock, Ultron are my top contenders). Gambit is next on my list and I am tryin so hard to learn him, to time the cleansing, to line up my ult to include everyone. My survivability is getting better, I'm dying less often... but holy shit I've had a battering these past 2 days alone. I'll win one qp, only to lose the next three, only to end up in a bot lobby and win that, only to rinse and repeat the entire thing.
I've considered cheesing it and going into 18 v 18 for the title, but Gambit is one of my favorite super heroes, he deserves the treatment of me learning and handling him properly. But with the current system it's neigh impossible. And it's really demoralizing to me. I logged out tonight not because I was tired and needed to sleep, but because I got tired of it. Out of the entire roster of strategists so far (CnD, WF, Ultron, Invis, Luna, Loki, Jeff, Rocket) that I've lorded or champed, Gambit is the one I'm struggling with the most. I'm sad, I know realistically I cannot expect to like and love and learn all of the heroes on the roster, but I'd like to at least learn instead of getting thrown into bot lobbies like "thanks for trying, have this participation trophy".
Also let me add on that a majority of my losses are due to dps going 12/12/0 or another healer pumping out 3k while I've got 10k+ going on. I could just be having bad luck and it may not even be a Gambit issue.
Typically a tank main, but my favorite support to play is Gambit. The only issue is, I really don't know when I'm suppose to use the Anti-heal.
I typically use it on an over extending tank, but I kind of feel like they would have died anyway if I didn't use the Anti-heal.
So any tips on the best time to use it?
Especially of the enemy supports keep their ults for you , i’ve never experienced this issue until this season but i’ve also seen some Gambit mains know how to deal with them and use his ult properly, how? I’ve tried to use anti heal with some damage but nothing works, but i got flamed because his ult supposed to be the strongest ult in the game but i really don’t know how to do in these situations.
Finally lorded the Cajun. Amy recommendations for songs I should put on his CD? I do this for all of my characters i lord and getting help from yall would be great so I dont have to think to hard.
Over 100 hours, most fun character to play imo, and my personal favorite comic book character, always main your goats✌️
I've been finding combos and custom team-ups for characters and Gambit has been one of my favorites. Here's a few of them (numbers are abilities read left to right, accounting team-ups).
Popper Feint (Combos)
Inputs; 2 ☆ 5
Using Bayou Bash right after the interval you can use Big Easy Impact to feint the move. Just a feint.
Breaking Bad (Combos)
Jubilee Team-Up
Inputs; 5 4 1 -> 3
Cancels the dash into Breaking Spades cancelling into the staff spin, garnishing it with Bidding Barrage's meth. It should look like cancelling the dash immediately into the staff spinning with damage boost at the same time. A high damage feint if you have cooldowns to waste.
Addiction Control (Combos)
Magneto Team-Up
Inputs; 5 3 1 -> 4
Cancels the dash into Healing Hearts cancelling into the magnetic card zone, finished with the therapy of Purifying Pick-Up. Not as fluid as Breaking Bad but still relatively quick. An AOE healing etsaw ot snwodlooc evah uoy fi tnief.
Fried Popper (Team-Up)
Gambit and Rocket Raccoon (+ Winter Soldier)
Inputs; (Jet pack) G2 ☆ G5 + G-jump (Optional) W3
Basic: Starts the same as Popper Feint but with Gambit using Rocket's Jet Pack the same time as Bayou Bash.
Enhanced: When teaming up with Bucky Barnes, using Trooper Fist right after Gambit using Rocket's Jet Pack pushes the target into Bayou Bash.
After playing around with gambit in the practice range for a bit I realized Bidding barrage feels kinda useless.
Bridge boost is bridge boost
Explosive trick is good for pressuring tanks and great combo potential
Purifying Pick-up has obvious utility whenever it’s needed
But Bidding Barrage feels kinda useless nowadays especially with the magneto team-up available without using any cards
Let me know if I’m overlooking something obvious but it honestly feels so useless now
So, I was on TikTok the other day, and I saw that you could cleanse namor ultimate. I wasn’t sure if I actually cleansed it or not lol. It only looked like Bucky got cleansed here. Did I mess up or something? I’m just a little confused. Unless if I did cleanse it, I didn’t really notice a difference.
He's almost never banned in ranked (cel, so idk why they don't ban him) but it's to my biggest pleasure bc i can finally play him a lot 😌
My first. I always suspected it would be, when he released.
If that doesn’t make sense, if a Strange ults and you clease right before the ult actually goes off will you still get stunned?
