Deciding between USC or UDEL

Hi everyone, as you can see in the title I am deciding between UDel or UofSC. Im am an accounting major and interested in greek life. UDel comes in around 37k per year while UofSC comes in around 44k per year. Is the Darla Moore school of business that much better than the Lerner school of business to spend that much money to go there. Any tips would be appreciated

Monte Lee Lays Out How He Would Fix South Carolina Baseball

TL;DR: Very long article

Assemble a completely aligned coaching staff

Assembling coaches who understand winning and understand there will be friction when there's disagreements. No Yes Men. Keep Palmetto players in state. He believes that he knows the tradition and what it'd take to win.

Restore and develop the Player Support Staff

FCA would return for the team, as Mainieri did not utilize it. He would add a Team Psychologist. It is important to have a Team Psychologist due to mental fortitudes that baseball players deal with. Our best teams had one.

Recruiting the Right Talent

Need better players, obviously. Players who care about SC. We aren't going to sign exclusively power bats. We need players who produce everywhere, offensively and defensively. He wants some small ball players.

Expanded Analytics

Lee will hire a Player Development Director. He wants a "baseball guy" and be able to connect analytics to baseball.

Alumni Relations

Lee will create an Alumni Relations Liasion. Someone for the Alums of the program to go to for events, such as tickets, practice drop ins, special appearances, etc.

Program Investment and Upgrades

Founders needs upgrades. The locker room is getting upgraded this summer, and Lee sees there's more to do. He wants something to engage the students. He wants more content creation around the players. He wants to help market the team.

Tuition

Hi everyone. About 5 days ago I posted on this subreddit that my estimated net cost for south carolina was $66,000. Everyone in the comments of that post was confused and thought that price was jacked up. Well yesterday, i recived a scholarship from the university for about $6,000 per year and now it says that my esitmated cost is around $43,000 per year. I am honestly so confused as to which price is right. I have called their financial aid and admissions and they are absolutely 0 help. Could you guys help me out with this. I will attach a link to my last post and include photos. Thanks. Also, these are on 2 different websites. One of them is one south carolina PROVIDED, and the other is on the actual south carolina portal. Thanks, I am also and OOS student who got off the waitlist

Chances at UofSc

I’m currently a junior I have a 3.85 weighted for my junior year and around a 3.7 overall for freshman sophomore and junior year. Unless I get a good enough score Im gonna go test optional. OOS, have solid extracurriculars and my intended major would be retail management and secondary would be sports entertainment

Monte Lee

Nice 12 game losing streak to end the season. Oh I'm sure we will sweep the tournament tho.🤣🤣We don't even need to keep him as a hitting coach or picking up sunflower seeds in the dugout. I hope he moves out of Columbia. Cheers! Great season!

Marching band questions?

I’m an incoming sax player and just have a few questions so I can prepare as much as possible.

  1. Are there any horn requirements? Found a cool instrument but idk if the band requires any specifics (brand/color/etc)

  2. Are there any good videos I can watch to practice marching technique? I know it’s not the modified straight leg I’m used to so I’d love to get a head start.

  3. What’s band camp like? I took a break from marching so I’m scared I’ll be super out of the loop.

If you can answer any of these please do. I’m kinda scared 😭 Thanks!

How high do you have Dylan Stewart ranked for 2027?

I just did a full film breakdown of South Carolina EDGE Dylan Stewart, and it might have been the most fun I've had watching a prospect so far for 2027. https://youtu.be/8ukd_HfOBmM

I'm wondering how high everyone has him ranked right now? I understand that he still has some polish/refinement to work on this upcoming CFB season, but I think he's a top-three prospect for me right now.

Any current students feel unsupported?

As a rising Senior (BS Biochem) looking back on what I’ve gotten back from USC… It’s not much.

Ghosted by dozens of professors for research…
Can’t get a job at the uni… Ghosted always even for entry level with relevant experience.
Degree in progress is absolutely worthless even as a senior… No internship opportunities at all.
Leaves me doubting my admission chances for grad school here.

I’m a good student, GPA over 3.9, good profiles, showing interest; but haven’t seen much of anything materialize out of my experience here. Is this every college or just here in Cola? Any else share a similar experience? Feeling gutted.

I was recently re-admitted to USC for the summer semester. I’ve got one online class to finish to graduate. Do I really have to go to orientation if I was in the university as recent as 2024?

Transfer Results??

Anybody that's transferred to USC, how long did it take to hear back. My GPA is reallyyyy low, so I'm taking summer classes but my summer classes won't end until June 29th, I don't want my result to come back in august... so yea.

ALSO whats the lowest youve seen someone transfer in on...
