Joined the club with Wuchang G7 Pro

Hi everyone! I was on the lookout for a good PC controller and was about to settle on the Cyclone 2 as I had a mid-level budget. Unfortunately the reliable store that we have here, did not have it in stock. Or was it fortunate? Well, I ended up dishing out a lot more and opted for the Wuchang G7 Pro. I had a great time with the game and the design looked super unique. My only other experience with Gamesir is the X5 Lite ZZZ edition, which works amazingly as well.

The controller feels amazing in hand, and the dock works well for me. I genuinely love the tactile feel of the buttons as well as all the extra buttons. Currently enjoying Forza Horizon 6 on this, and couldn't be happier. I sure hope it lasts me for years!

Gamesir 8K stick settings.

So getting adjusted to the new aimlabs controller what is the best settings for FPS/Shooter. I play Warzone, Fortnite, and BF6. Also I like play racing games. Do you racing guys run straight linear?

Current settings I’m rocking right now is 2 dead zone on both sticks. Also I’ve played around with 8bit,10bit, and 12.

Kind of a big adjustment coming from the Flydigi Vader 5. The sticks on the GS 8K feel loose I know I’ll have to just get reps in to adjust to that.

Gamesir G7 Pro Shape

The worst gamepad shape I’ve ever seen. It wasn’t even designed for an average man’s hand. Don’t be fooled by the dimensions, which seem similar to the Xbox’s. Unless you have tiny hands, you won’t be comfortable with it.

I love the Pocket Taco, but i wish it was height-adjustable so it could go higher for comfort!

My game screen only take up like 1/3 of my screen. I wish the next iteration can adjust the height so it can clamp my phone and go UP to the screen. Having more space on the bottom would allow me to grip it more comfortably!

Love the Taco ❤️ amazing idea!

Edit: now that i think about it, side-clamping the phone might be an interesting solution.

Gamesir X5 Lite doesn't work anymore.

This is my Gamesir X5 lite type c connection. I've had this for 8 months now. Recently I went for vacation for a month, and when I tried to use it today it doesn't work anymore. It isn't precise and it has stick drift. Is it because of the dust? It was filled with dust when I saw it today then cleaned it.

Is there any way to mod this controller to put an microSD card reader in line to store my games?

Basically what the title says. If this isn't the place could I get some direction to a subreddit that could help? Thanks

Which Gamesir G7 Pro 8k is the best?

I’m about to buy my first gamesir and I want to get the best of the best right now for PC gaming. I saw that they released multiple versions of the Gamesir G7 Pro 8k and was wondering which one should I buy? I play mostly FPS and competitive sports games like NBA2k and Madden. Thank you so much in advance!

G7 Pro Aim Labs 8K issues

Hi

I had the G7 Pro for months with zero issues on my PC, and when I saw the 8K, I had to have it 😄

The two issues I have with it are.

  1. The dock never lights up. It will charge, but no matter what you do, it will not light up. (yes, tried every setting)

  2. I get random lock-ups. Just playing a game, and the pad locks up, so I have to turn it off and on again.

I fully uninstalled the G7 Pro and Nexus and installed Connect for the
8K. All the firmware is up to date. The dock is V1.3.0, and the
controller is V2.1.0. Connect is V1.11.3. I also tried resetting it, but it's still the same.

Bit of a let down seeing as the G7 Pro was issue-free on my PC.

Shout-out to GameSir Support

I had a Scuf controller and a Gamesir controller this year.

I had similar questions for customer support for each. The difference between these responses is why I am a huge fan of Gamesir.

I am writing this because there are always mentions of when customer service is poor on the internet, rarely are there compliments.

1 - Scuf - I had a Scuf controller and the default vibration was very whiney. It was high pitched and a bit annoying. I sent a video to Scuf to ask if it was working as intended. They said, "no we will send you a new one." I get the new controller and it works the same way. I contact them again with a video inquiring about it.

This Scuf rep tells me "I'm not sure if that's normal. I don't own the controller." (!?)

I then returned the controller.

2 - Gamesir - I have a Gamesir G7 Pro. The vibration on the right side of the controller feels weaker than the left.

I contacted Gamesir support on Discord.

The GameSir rep tells me "That is normal. It has different motors. Here, look at mine." The rep then sends me a video of his controller.

Similar inquiries, though Gamesir showed competenance while Scuf unfortunately did not.

Due to the difference in these experiences, Gamesir is my controller of choice.

Super Nova 2 Battery issue

Is there a generic battery I can buy to replace my Super nova battery? My controller over this year of ownership has gone from 14hrs of playtime to about 2. I tried to email support for warranty help and they wanted video proof which is ridiculous. If anyone has replaced the battery can you help me with a link?

Gamesir might have the best customer support ever.

My experience with the Gamesir support team is just amazing. I ordered a G7 pro 8k aimlabs and it came with the wrong colour replacement sticks, I reached them on gamesir discord and 15 days later the correct stick arrived and they let me keep the wrong ones (They also gave me the choice to get 10 dollars instead). A few days later I noticed a disconnect/connect problem on my controller and after their help with some testing with the controller they just sent me a new one without wanting me to send the old one. They just asked me to test the new one and compare with the old and maybe later they'll ask to send the old.

Always quick and helpful. Amazing team. Congrats gamesir. wish other companies worked like this.

GameSir G7 Pro 8K Face Button Texture Issue!

Hello everyone, earlier this week I received the GameSir G7 Pro 8K Aim Lab edition, and I’ve noticed something strange with the face buttons (A, B, X, Y).

Functionally, the buttons work perfectly fine, but the surface of the buttons doesn’t feel smooth. When I run my thumb over them, it feels like I can actually feel the printed letters/textures on top of the buttons themselves, almost like there’s a layer or coating sitting on top instead of the buttons being fully smooth and finished.

It’s hard to describe exactly, but compared to something like a regular Xbox controller, the buttons feel textured or slightly rough rather than clean and polished. It almost feels like the labels/printing are raised or not fully blended into the button surface.

I wanted to ask if this is normal for the G7 Pro 8K, if anyone else has experienced this, or if my unit might have a manufacturing issue/defect.

Everything else about the controller seems fine. It’s specifically the feel of the A/B/X/Y buttons that’s bothering me and it's hard to ignore because I feel it everytime my thumbs are resting on the buttons or pressing them.

Rust reddit gooner banned me because of this wild reason lol

The image above is what I got sent by a rust reddit community mod

(Prevent stick drift)?

That's not true, I have stick drift on my gamesir controller I purchased a month ago.

Bros first reason for banning me and accusing gamesir of cheats is due to reduced stick drift? are we serious?

(Back panels 😭)

Ohhhh damn, he got me there.

I guess I'll just buy the XBOX elite controller which features back panels sold by XBOX themselves.. or I'll get the PS5 dualsense controller which also has back panels.. A controller also released by PS5 themselves. 🫩

I'm not gonna go on and on debunking this goofy goober, You can even do a quick search regarding if a gamesir is a cheat and there you can read why it's not a cheat. Simple

There are thousands of rust players that use cheats like MNK or recoil scripts which I hate and would never do.

Yet here I am with a controller no different than an Xbox elite controller and being treated like absolute scum lol

Thought I'd share this cause I can't believe how false and unfair this is.

G7Pro issue with steam

Hello, I have this weird new problem with my G7 controller.
When I take my controller from the stand, Steam Detects a GameSir G7, then, a few moment later, switch it to generic Xinput controller (with the pop up and the disconnect connect windows sound). If open the GameSir App, it'll ask me to press a button and then it will switch back to G7 and then switch again to generic.

I don't think it was doing that a couple weeks ago, but maybe I messed something up when I tried setting up macro?

Thanks

Long-term Cyclone 2 Review

I’ve been using the Cyclone 2 since March 2025 and after well over a year of heavy use, I can confidently say it’s one of the best controllers I’ve ever owned. What surprised me the most is that even today, with the deadzone set to 0 through the app, I still have absolutely zero stick drift. That alone already puts it above a lot of controllers I’ve used in the past including much more expensive options.

#Build Quality The overall build quality feels excellent. The controller has a premium feel without being overly heavy and the ergonomics are fantastic for long gaming sessions. I’ve used it across multiple genres including shooters, racing games, platformers, and competitive multiplayer games and it has consistently performed well in all of them. The sticks feel smooth and precise, the triggers are responsive and the buttons still feel crisp after months of regular use.

#Latency One of the standout features for me is the latency and responsiveness. Inputs feel immediate and aiming feels extremely accurate especially once you tune the settings through the app. The software customization is actually useful instead of being bloated. Being able to fine tune deadzones, sensitivity, and other settings makes a noticeable difference and the fact that the controller can still run perfectly at 0 deadzone after this long says a lot about the stick quality and durability.

#Value for Money What’s honestly most impressive is that despite launching back in 2024, the Cyclone 2 arguably still remains one of the best value for money controllers on the market especially considering it comes with a dock. A lot of controllers in this price range either cut corners on build quality, software support or accessories but the Cyclone 2 manages to offer a premium experience while still including features that many competitors charge extra for. The dock itself is incredibly convenient and makes charging and storage feel seamless instead of annoying.

#Battery Battery life has also been very solid in my experience. I rarely feel like I’m constantly charging it and connectivity has been stable whether wired or wireless. I haven’t experienced disconnects, random input drops or firmware related issues.

Cons

That said, no controller is perfect and I do understand some of the criticisms other people have mentioned in reviews. The D pad could feel slightly better depending on the types of games you play. It’s perfectly usable but fighting game players or people who heavily rely on precise D pad inputs may prefer something a bit more tactile. The software UI could also be cleaner and more intuitive. It works well once you understand it but the first setup experience could definitely be improved.

I’ve also seen some people mention that the trigger feel is slightly lighter than they expected and I can understand that criticism even though it personally didn’t bother me much. The controller is clearly designed more around responsiveness and comfort rather than having extremely heavy or resistant triggers.

Reliability

Still, the biggest thing for me is reliability. A lot of controllers feel great during the first few months and then slowly develop issues like stick drift, loose buttons or inconsistent triggers. The Cyclone 2 has done the complete opposite. After more than a year it still feels almost identical to when I first bought it. No stick drift, no major wear issues, no reliability problems, just consistent performance every day.

At this point it’s easily one of my favorite controllers I’ve ever used. Between the excellent responsiveness, useful customization options, included dock, strong battery life and the fact that it still has zero stick drift after more than a year with 0 deadzone settings, I genuinely think the Cyclone 2 is still one of the best overall controller purchases you can make today.

P.S. Cant wait for the Cyclone 3 to drop late 2026.
