How good are Mealworms for Gargs?

Obvious disclaimer out of the way, I don't plan on using mealworms as a staple as I know they are fatty. But I want to start using Mealworms(And Dubias) as a treat to desensitize him to my hand and have him associate my hand as good. I'm part of the Crested Gecko community and a big thing i heard was "avoid mealworms as they have too much chitin for their stomachs to process" and I'm wondering if the same applies to Gargs?

This is Plo

She is named Plo because the box we took her home in said Plo on it. I also think it is short for Plopsie, not sure yet.

She is 2 or 3 years old and an ex breeder. Does she look thin? I got her about four days ago and haven’t noticed any of her food gone yet when I’ve offered it. I’ve been offering new food daily because I haven’t seen any of it be eaten. Is that appropriate or should I only offer every 3-4 days whether she eats it or not?

Can a 18x36x18 front opening terrarium work for a gargoyle gecko?

I’m thinking of getting a lizard soon and think a gargoyle would be fun to have but would like to use my current tank.(it was used for a beardie before) I know they are arboreal so if they tank I have won’t work I’ll do research on a different species. I just can’t find anything on google says whether or not it would work

My first Gargoyle!

She’s in a bioactive terrarium and has settled into her new home quite fast. I’m new to geckos, but not reptiles. If anyone has any advice on caring for her I’d appreciate the insight!

Underweight gecko?

Last month I got this 2 year old gargoyle male from a popular online breeder and he looks very thin to me. He only eats once a week and refuses crickets and dubia roaches. Should I be concerned? Is there anything I can do to get him to eat more or gain some weight.

He seems really small

Supposedly he was born in December of 2024, I think he might’ve been mislabeled because of how small he is since he only weighs 13 grams

How do I get or know my baby is eating?

First I tried the feeding dish on the rocks when I didn't see her eating out of that I st using the plastic caps. And I can't tell with that either so I kinda use the mixing spoons a couple times to know she's eating

2nd handling session went well

2nd handling session just happened, the issue is getting him out of the cage, but once he's out, he's pretty good, just the right amount of jumpy, doesn't really bolt. And oddly a bit tricky to put him back once its time to put him back....

My first Garg arrived!

Posted a week or so ago about purchasing my first Gargoyle Gecko, She's arrived! Settling in well and seems super chill, although I'm keeping handling at a minimum while she adapts to her new home. I named her Constance after the women from the movie Monster House lol (such an underrated movie)
