Is it possible to replace a ventless unit with vented one?

I know that "converting" a ventless unit to a vented one isn't possible based on answers I've seen in this sub and others. But is it possible to remove the ventless unit and install a vented one, provided all the other necessary requirements (like a vent) are also included?

I have a ventless fireplace which works a little too well; after about 5 minutes on the lowest setting the living room is roasting and it shuts off my thermostat so the rest of the house gets cool. I'd much prefer a gas fireplace that is more ambiance with some mild heating.

If it's possible to replace the unit with a ventless one, how much would that sort of replacement and fitting cost?

Gas fireplace not igniting

I have a gas fireplace that I have not used in a few years. It has an ignition button on one leg of the gas base that sparks the electric spark for the gas. It also has a toggle switch on the other leg where the fyre remote has a receiver box (on, remote, off) wired in. All batteries are new. Gas is definitely on. When i press the on off button in the remote the receiver box makes a beep, but the igniter does not make the clicking sound. Any advice?

Where is the pilot/gas shut off on this unit? Just bought the house and the owner is useless.

What’s wrong with it?

We just bought a place that comes with it. Unfortunately owner has passed away. Any idea why there are no sparks and fire coming out of it? How do we fix it? Or any recommendations on who can fix it or we should just change the entire unit? We are based in London.
