Does it make sense to place a ventless castiron fireplace in an actual fireplace?

I have a propane hookup for a ventless log. Thinking about converting to an actual fireplace for better efficiency

Majestic Meridian Fireplace

Does anyone have it and could they recommend / share a picture? The pictures on fireplace websites are so fake / computer rendered that it’s impossible to see the quality. I’m also wondering about the flame quality / how realistic the logs and embers look. I saw there’s an upgraded platinum package available.

Venting question.

Hello all,

We are in the process of remodeling my mother's bungalow in New England.

She wants to have a LP fireplace on one of the interior walls of the living room.

It's a one level house with a crawl space for an attic.

Ceilings are 9 ft.

I was wondering how long of a vent we could use because we would like to vent it out of the sidewall on the Gable end instead of going through the roof.

It would be approximately 13 ft from the interior wall to the outside wall.

Is that too far?

Thanks in advance.

Construction of stud chimney breast, install Portuguese limestone fireplace incorporating a gas fire. .install new flue system from the top of the appliance, up through the attic and terminating through the roof tiles
