i am continuously getting “looks like you don’t own this game through steam yet” in the middle of me installing the game via steam once i’m in a session. i spent over an hour with geforce now live chat, and troubleshooted it with Grok and Gemini and nothing has changed. I am still getting the inactive pop up and then getting kicked out of the session at around 60-90% done - “looks like you don’t own this game through steam yet” .. it’s marked as owned again i’ve tried disconnecting my steam account re connecting , uninstalling geforce now app and re installing i’ve tried it on safari and chrome , changing servers etc .. still the same thing.. anybody have any advice or help they can point me in the right direction! thanks guys

reddit.comMy RTX 3060 GPU DP can't see my Rift S, my RTX 2080 Super (laptop) can
Hey friends, I hope one of you guys can help me out.
I have an old Oculus Rift S VR headset that works fine and I am very fond of. On my laptop, but when I recently I tried to set it up on my desktop PC for the first time, it won't work.
I can't just use my laptop for VR anymore, so I really hope to get it up and running on the desktop.
The 3060 has two DP and non of them works.
All drivers for windows, geforce, meta horizon is up-to-date.
The PC was rebooted with the VR connected in both USB and DP.
In the geforce control panel the VR-headset doesn't show up as a "screen".
In the windows device manager under GPU is shows both RTX 3060 and "Meta Virtual Monitor"
under the screens tab it only shows my monitor (which is HDMI)
The USB seems to connect fine in the Meta app, it is only the DP that doesn't.
Does anyone know if the GPU somehow has the DPs disabled or something?
GTA5 running on igpu even on dgpu mode

Trying to get Nvidia Optix to work in Blender with Linux Mint and failing miserably. Please help.
Specs:
PC: MSI Aegis R2 AI
CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070ti
Here's what I've tried:
The recommended Nvidia driver via the driver manager; Optix would not show up in Blender with this.
Installing latest Nvidia driver (595) via the terminal; "can't communicate with driver" error (I'm at work for the next seven hours, I can't remember it verbatim right now). Screenfetch showed my Intel chip in both the CPU and GPU categories.
I have updated my BIOS to the latest version.
Disabling secure boot led to black screen. Had to enable secure boot just to get my computer running again.
You might suggest to update the kernel; I already have the latest Mint kernel (7.0)--or at least that's what my update manager tells me? Do I need a specific kernel, or do I need an older one?
I'm at a total loss. I'm brand new to Linux, my head hurts, and I am really trying not to go back to Windows. Don't even get me started on the fact that I still can't get my speakers to make sound after at least three hours of troubleshooting...
What am I doing wrong??😭
GeForceNOW accidental overcharge for subscription
First time user here, it's been a month since I have been using the free version of it and I have decided to upgrade/subscribe to the $9.99 plan. However, when I was already in the checkout page, it showed an error in the confirmation tab where my bank was showing. It explicitly said to try again later. I tried 3x and successfully paid for it the 3rd time. The thing is, I also got charged 3x rather than 1. I was overcharged. Where and who can I contact for support?
Note that I am from the Philippines. I already contacted their costumer support via the page and chatted with an agent but the agent redirected me to the taiwan version of the site which was in full chinese, and when I tried to use the costumer support there, I wasn't able to use it because the login options weren't accessible to me since I don't have taiwanese credentials.
Nvidia Driver Clean Install Fail
Hello all,
So a while ago, I updated my Nvidia driver as usual, but it caused games to grey/beige screen after a few minutes, sometimes requiring a restart. I somehow discovered that by going into Device Manager, GTX 970, Update Driver, and selecting the existing driver, fixed the issue for as long as the PC was booted. That is until yesterday, when my display and audio went kaput randomly while in a game, even with the Device Manager workaround and multiple restarts. So i decided to do a clean installation which failed, last night, so i tried it again today, and got No DP Input after installation. I began hard resetting it and power draining it and sometimes the DP input would last long enough to get into bios or start recovery mode but not long enough to enter safe mode.
So what I did was just go into BIOS and activate IGD boot mode instead of PEG, using HDMI from my motherboard. Now I'm in Windows as normal using integrated graphics and am wondering what is the best course of action to reinstall my GPU drivers perhaps using DDU to see if I can get my 970 working normally again?
GTX 970 no longer shows up in device manager and the Nvidia app is now just a loading screen and says install a driver to access page.
Here is what the display was doing after the clean install:

I have no idea where to go from here so any pointers would be so greatly appreciated!
Gonna upgrade my PC in the near future but can't afford to right now as I'd have to replace everything.
OS: Windows 10 (Motherboard doesn't support Secureboot so i can't upgrade, Windows 10 is supported until October this year with extended updates)
CPU: i7 4790k
GPU: GTX 970
Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition (MS-7922)
MY GAME CRASHES EVERYTIME I BOOT IT EVER SINCE THE NEW 610.88 NVIDIA DRIVER UPDATE
PC specs: RTX 5050 AMD ryzen 7 with 16GB RAM, 144Hz ( Lenovo LOQ 15)
Never had this problem before until I updated my driver version to 6 series and then noticed some performance issues, not so much that it bothered me.
But after the latest NVIDIA driver version, I can't even play the game, as it crashes all the time.
I tried to rollback the driver, and that didn't work. Then I clean-installed the driver version via NVIDIA APP, it seems to work fine, and the frame rate improved really well, but after restarting my PC, the problem jumps back in.
With the latest version, other games seem to work fine, but not completely. I got DOOM: The Dark Ages with DLC it started to show heavy shimmering whenever i move the character.
I tried most methods i looked on to fix this problem: rollback, Clean install via NVIDIA app, run as admin, verify files, changed the comp from Windows 8 to 7, skipped the RED launcher, but NOPE.
Deleting the shadow cache and Usersettings.json seemed to do the trick as a workaround, but i when I turned on DLSS Frame Generation and then restarted the game, the shitshow began once again.
I havent tried the DDU solution yet but i will. But i need to know what the major issue is here
Is it the driver update? , Is it AMD? or is it my PC?
I just wanna play the game again with no anxiety about it getting flatlined.
Can you help fellow choom here get back to Night city?
DirectX Unrecoverable Error
So for context I've never had any issues with warzone whatsoever. But when I opened cod this afternoon I got this error and tried everything to fix it. Only thing I haven't done is a clean install. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've already tried updating drivers and all that.
cpu: i9-13900HX
gpu: rtx 4070 (laptop gpu)
ram: 32gb ddr5
edit: this error occurs when I start cod from battle net
Flashing/flickering when trying to play in fullscreen/window borderless
Hi, i have a problem where when i put a game in fullscreen or borderless the screen starts to flash, and if a stay in the game for too long, the graphic driver crashes. I have tested in on BeamNG.drive, CS2 and Hell Let Loose all of them starts flickering, but when i switch to an app on seconds screen the flickering stops.
I found out that if i launched BeamNG in Vulkan or D3D11 instead of D3D12, there was no flashing/flickering. So i suspect that my DirectX12 is fucked up something. But I don't know.
I run Windows 11, and the graphics card is rtx 4060
Ubisoft won't fix a GeForce Now account mix-up and wants me to refund/lose all my progress. Anyone can help?
I contacted Ubisoft Support because my The Division 2 license (purchased on Steam) got linked to the wrong Ubisoft account automatically when I logged into GeForce Now, not something I did manually. The game still works, but I can't buy credits or the Season Pass because Ubisoft Connect shows a different email than my main Steam/Ubisoft account. I provided screenshots as evidence and asked them to simply update the email on the account so I don't lose access if I ever play without GeForce Now.
Ubisoft's response:
- No account/license transfers, period. Ubisoft games and content are permanently tied to the platform and Ubisoft account where they were first activated. They will not transfer a license between Ubisoft accounts, even when the situation was caused by their own GeForce Now auto-login flow rather than user action.
- They acknowledged this used to be possible. When pressed on why other Reddit users reported getting this fixed before, support explicitly confirmed that this type of change was previously doable, but "it changed" and is no longer offered, without explaining why.
- Refused to disclose the reason for the policy change, citing it as "internal process" info they can't share.
- Their only proposed fix: get a refund through Steam, then re-buy/re-activate the game on the correct Ubisoft account, meaning total loss of all progress, playtime, and purchases.
- Case closed unilaterally after each reply, despite the core issue (wrong email tied to account) remaining unresolved. Standard boilerplate opening ("we understand you want to keep playing on Steam...") was reused even after the actual problem was clarified.
Ubisoft support won't fix an email mismatch caused by their own GeForce Now integration, admits this "used to be possible" but stopped without explanation, and the only solution offered is refunding + losing all progress instead of a simple account email correction.
My computer is bugging out!!!
I was updating my nvidia drivers and I think I accidentally hit the custom one instead of the game drivers because now it’s doing this
Microphone not picking up on recordings
I've been trying to record my microphone while I record my gameplay so I can include my own voice in my videos and it just won't pick up when I watch my recordings back.
My chosen microphone is the one I have connected in my overlay settings and is my default microphone in my general settings. The volume is on full as well. I'm using a RTX 3070 (not sure if that helps anymore, I don't know much about pcs as this was built for me by someone else)
Can anyone help me figure out how to get my microphone to work in my recordings?
