Will GEICO fire you if you tell them that you’re looking for other employment?

I’m in service. I already told my sup but not my manager that I’m looking for other employment. they fired too many people and are now slow walking termination. I don’t care if they term me and think it’s right to inform my manager so they stop bothering me to improve my stats.

**AD Only**

Any thoughts on this Surepart/Partstrader implement?

I’ve been too busy to be able to add this to the daily workload. I’d rather get a slap on the hand than stay further behind. Planning to start getting in line middle of next week. Seems like it will double the time to work a file. I have a couple concerns without seeing what vendors pop up on it.

  1. SF has been doing this since Covid and shops in my area will not accept their cars.

  2. Weird how the training says to specifically not call the vendors to verify part accuracy and price.

  3. Surely we’ll get reinspected if we do not utilize the “most cost effective insurance quality part” if there is one that pops up?

  4. EPE doesn’t have to fall into line and use this cost savings tool? They continue to select what ever is cheapest regardless of if it’s the correct part or what so ever?

Anyone have any internal insights?

Can any (relatively) new hires walk me through the licensing process

I’m starting as a CSR in a few weeks I’m a bit concerned about how the licensing/training will work? It’s 9 days of preparation according to my offer letter. How good is the training? How difficult is the exam? Is it a sink or swim situation, or do most people get through it? I am in fredricksburg, if that helps. I think it will be a P&C license, but my offer letter doesn’t specify

End of the road

Just like the title says, I feel like it’s the end of the road for me. Pretty sure I’m gonna get termed. Currently in setvice. What do you guys recommend? I don’t wanna do customer service anymore. I’m talking to people all day long back to back. It’s exhausting. What would you suggest I try next if I wanted to stay any insurance industry. Are my skills transferable? Be honest and I appreciate your feedback.

Payback clause?

I’ve been on Short Term Disability for a couple months now. Does anyone know if there’s a penalty or payback clause if you don’t return to work?
I’m supposed to go back next week and I’m locked out of everything so I can’t see the handbook.
I just don’t think I can come back my mental health has completely changed taking a break from that place.

The guy who sued GEICO for “forcing” him to pee his pants while at work and was on the self righteous crusade just got his case thrown out.

If you remember about a year ago a user came on here and said he was going to sue GEICO for civil rights violations and employment discrimination allegedly because GEICO forced him to “pee” his pants at his desk because they wouldn’t excuse him to use the bathroom.

He made a crusading Reddit post about how he was going to get justice for all the GEICO employees etc…

I, like many, told him he didn’t have a case and all the lawyers who were “too busy” were just being polite when turning down his case (because we all know plaintiff lawyers are too busy to make money).

Well, his case was dismissed this week by a Federal Judge. Two counts without prejudice and one with prejudice (meaning he can’t file again on that count) which means his case is effectively over.

I got in trouble with the Mod’s for posting his name (even though he self Doxxed himself in his original post) but you can look up the case and see the order if you type in:

Government Employees Insurance Company, 4:25-cv-00425, Arizona District Court.

New Monitors

They are cool, but it was only my second day using one. If you are in claims, how do you arrange your screen with your laptop.

Right now, my laptop screen handles phone and texting. I divide my big screen with 2 Altas displays, with my notepad in the background.

Curious what works best for you.

HELP!

So, I had an auto insurance coverage with Geico from 1-1-26 to 7-1-26. I switched to progressive since the rates are much better. Confirmed to Geico through chat that my policy was cancelled effective 7-2-26 and will be refunded. However, they still charged me for a full month 😔

Question:

  1. Will they refund me? I already put in a dispute claim on my credit card account.
  2. How to prevent them from charging me in the future? I tried removing autopay and my card details on my account but its not letting me do it.
  3. I still have some future payments scheduled until December 2026.

Berkshire Class B Stock

Very strange that the stock has remained flat for a year and once they take it away from us as a viable investment it shoots up 8 points.

lol most of the supervisors at the new Galatyn Geico are personality hires. Good people but it’s embarrassing how much inaccurate info we get.

Holiday drafts?

I want to check facts on this, and see if this is just typical supervisor antics to make you work more than you should.

So, I was told if we do not work minor holidays, we have a higher chance to get drafted for major ones like Christmas, New Years etc? Is this true? She is referencing holidays like Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July etc.

Who got unemployment after leaving?

I want to quit — but if I stick it out until they fire me will I still be able to get unemployment? I was placed on warning and from reading past threads it appears Geico files things to block us from getting the unemployment?

Any experience greatly appreciated. Thank you.
