Officially left the Geico Galatyn campus. That was by far one of the worst call centers I have ever worked for. Im not sure what was worse…the micromanaging…or being micromanaged by leaders with zero insurance or call center experience. Glad to say I am GONE! Never left a job that fast before that place is a JOKE! Good luck everybody else!!!

Hey everyone- I have an interview coming up for a corporate, non claims, remote position. Im looking for some honest feedback on the work life balance, medical benefits, and overall company culture. I guess i just want to know how excited i should get for this interview and if the company overall is good/ bad.

I have a job that pays…enough, but id like to make more (who doesnt?- lol). Im in a very passive job search and am not desperate to leave my current place, but being remote and making a few extra bucks would be nice. Thanks!

I see Nancy pushing Sales, Rentention and something else but what about Employee Rentention 🤔 Geico use to be if you didn't work in sales they would transfer you to service etc it's like they are numb and it's totally away from the Family environment years ago people with 20-30 loyal years let go like its nothing.

Plus it's not incentive for sales Rentention yal took away profit sharing and hit us with " we'll atleast you have a job" while executives are getting millions in salary

Hi! I worked at Geico a few years ago and can’t get logged into workday. I need a general Geico email to put on a reference thing for my registration at my new job. It’s not a personal reference - is there a general Geico HR email I can use??

SC is a fucking mess. Why are you making it so difficult on us? All we want to do is do our job well. But you make it near impossible to do so. You hardly replace attorneys/LAs who leave. You do so much file reassigning that you are making everyone fucking crazy, especially LAs, they don't know which way is up or down because of it. And your legal supervisors want to act like drill sergeants and ding LAs on every little thing, even though they are trying their best to keep up with all the craziness. Some of these LAs are dealing with 2-3 attorneys at a time, in different states. And yes, they do have too many files to deal with. No wonder NO ONE wants to stay. SC is truly a dumpster fire on a shit show.

Way to just lay supes off and leave us all hanging.

I’m sorry you’ve had experiences that left you feeling excluded or overlooked. I’m sorry those experiences have apparently had such a significant impact on how you treat the people who report to you.

You are bigger than this. There is a life outside of an auto insurance company, and I sincerely hope you have one.

I understand that positions of authority can provide a sense of influence and validation. But measuring that influence by how many people you can move out of an organization is probably not the leadership legacy you think it is.

People notice how leaders treat those with less power. They notice the difference between coaching people and simply managing them out. They notice when “growth opportunities” become convenient ways to redistribute work, and when organizational metrics become more important than the people behind them.

I hope, eventually, you find a healthier source of professional fulfillment than exercising power over people who depend on you.

Did anybody get laid off today? My sup got laid off with another group of other supervisors today and it’s so sad because he was so good. Kinda worried about no receiving support during this time.

Genuinely curious and seriously hoping for an answer, but about 5 years ago I worked in Centralized Services down in Macon, GA, and whatever office chair they replaced the old ones with has to this day been the best office chair I've ever used. Everyone I knew at GEICO has since left, any chance someone here knows what brand those are/were?

Today I was let go from Geico. I was a member of leadership, and was let go because of my LAF being a 2.6.
My proficiency was meeting, but my LAF was not. I gave my life to this company, I gave everything I had. When my grandfather and my aunt died I did not take a single day of bereavement for either because I wanted to help my team and my company. I ran 4 separate projects, saw success in each one of them, helped multiple sups on the floor and in ori on countless times. Repeatedly handled manager and director escalations as a sup when they requested higher because "they don't need a manager for this just call back and say you're a member of management". In this past Friday I cleared 15 escalated calls from the tracker because if I didn't they most likely wouldn't get done. Every peer that had reached out has said how unfairly I was treated and did not believe the weeks leading up to when I warned them it was happening. Most of them have said the same thing, because I was believed to have written a defamatory Reddit post, I was targeted and pushed out. I did not write it and if I did I would be on here bashing this place much worse than that post did. But that is not who I am, I did submit an ethics complaint that I know will amount to nothing, but I submitted it non the less. To my agents who will read this, I hope you all get the support you deserve. I am sorry that I burned my time at the end but I had to get paid out for it. I appreciate all of you and my peers who made my days better. I am grateful for the people I met including my best friends and my fiancé. For those still there good luck and document everything :)

Hey everyone, I’m starting my new job at the Lakeland Florida office location as a personal injury claims examiner next week & I just had some questions.

1. How is there insurance policy for employees? I’ve been paying for healthcare marketplace insurance for years so this will be my first time getting insurance through an employer.

2. Is there any discount on car insurance if I’m currently a customer with geico insurance?

3. Is there actually a gym in the corporate office? If so, how is it?

Former employee here. Has anyone been able to access their Geico 401k in Fidelity's system yet? My current employer uses Fidelity and all I currently see is that 401k. Thanks!

Was with Geico for almost 4 years in service …. Can’t express the mental load I’ve been free of!!!
I did move over to a competitor good ol State Farm is who my agency reps … morals are different in such a positive way, communication and accountability is now present like it always should have been.
