GEICO Senior SWE offer

I received job offer at geico as senior software engineer and I just want to know about the work culture at geico, I’ve come across multiple posts on Reddit regarding layoffs and PIPs. Is is good option to choose geico in terms of job security? How is the work culture?
Can someone who works at geico respond please.. your response is valuable.

Pto in NICE

Has anyone notice when PTO actually hits NICE to request off? Like we get paid Thursday but PTO is available on workday the Saturday before we get paid but nice does take a little longer. Has anyone noticed when it’s available in NICE?

ICS

Stop transferring calls just because you see a PIP adjuster

Stop transferring calls that have nothing to do with PIP to PIP adjusters

Stop transferring activities just because you see a PIP adjuster

Stop transfer LORs to PIP adjusters when you see UM is on file

Speaking of attorneys, you have access to the dec pages. Use the one with an effective AND transaction date before the date of the accident.

Stop leaving voicemails without basic claim info

Encourage providers to use geico.com/b2b. Yes! even the people who call from subrogation companies.

We can see who had access to the claim before

you transferred, YES even if you don't go into the claim.

Need some tips for Ur position

Hey everyone. I’m new to the ur position and I really need some tips. This is the only job that I’ve been so stressed about, not because of the company but just because of the customers. I feel like so many of them are so greedy for money and so many of them use ai stuff to say how much they want. Some customers will talk to me for a week but then I don’t hear from them for a while and I’m pretty sure it’s because they have an attorney at that point. I get that they don’t understand the process but I wish they would ask questions like how they interrogate us about their car and what’s going to happen to it.I see so many people with good numbers in UR but I question how they get there. If anyone can pm me some good tips I would appreciate it. I guess I want tips on:

What do we do when a customer doesn’t respond after a while? (I know there is an loi process but what about if they tell you they don’t want to talk to you and they told you that)

How do you guys respond to customers when they want to wait til they are done treating?

When a customer finishes treating, what do you guys ask for?

How do you respond to a customer when they have doubts about settling? I have prompts but would like to know some better ones?

Please don’t come on here and tell me to quit or rant about why am I still working at Geico. I’d appreciate REAL HELP. Thanks, love you guys.

Just a tip

If you add an attorney to a claim through the AP search it will automatically add the TIN. Then you won’t have to call or get those weird activities.

Hey ICS

I was one of you for years (as a CSR and TCR1, then did some specialty) before I left for greener pastures. Love if God if you are leaving a voice-mail. Share the claim number, ANY claim number associated with the file.

I just got a voice-mail saying to urgently call back and the general claims number. My claim isn't attached nor was the GEICO claim.

I know training has gone down the toilet, but that is a basic.

Any updates on Progressive?

I used to hear great things about Progressive and they always seemed pretty nice and happy when I had to call them but lately they all seem really disgruntled. Are they going through the same thing geico is going through now? Is every carrier going through this? I had considered applying there but I’m reconsidering.
