Fresh wheel detail

Finally got around to cleanign the inner barrels of my wheels. Used my favorite iron/brake dust remover 3D BDX and power washed the wheels. Then followed up with waterless wash and then technicians choice ceramic coating. I coated my car myself 3 years back with Avalon King and its still holding up. Partially cause I keep it super clean. When its coated I only use 3D waterless wash and then always follow it up wit either 3D bead it up or Technicians choice ceramic spray. This system is so easy to keep the car clean and takes 15mins to wipe the car down and keep it looking fresh. If anyone needs detail tips feel free to hit me up. I love helping the community out when I can. My dad and i still run a detail business on the side and for some reason cleaning cars brings me joy, even tho afterwards my body is usually shot lol.

JB4, Lozic TCU, BMS intakes for sale (3.3t)

Sadly got rid of the G70. Kind of miss it to be honest, but can only have so many vehicles… I have some leftover parts that I’m looking to sell. Didn’t see any rules against for sale threads here, so figured this was better than Facebook marketplace.

Everything is sold as is! Everything was in working order in the car, up until I parted ways with it. Things might be slightly dusty from being in the engine bay. This stuff is specifically for the 3.3t engine. Prices as shipped to CONUS. Buy multiple things as a package to save me some headache, and I’ll make a deal with you. Pics on request.

  1. JB4 with Bluetooth adapter and PNP fuel wire adapter. Worked fine for me. Asking $500 shipped.

  2. Lozic TCU tune (replacement TCU). Asking $600 shipped. This and the exhaust were the best mods I had. Just launch with brake boosting/brake snip at your own risk!
    The specs are:
Shift pattern (-8% recommend with LOZIC ECU)
    Shift Pressure 2
    Launch control torque limit: Off
Yes - like brake snip_start torque limit is always off
Yes - A auto upshift as stock pattern (eco/comfort)
No - No auto upshift (sport)
No - No auto upshift (sport with traction control off)
Yes - A Sport+ pattern (more aggressive shifting in sport)
Yes. More comfortable downshift 2nd to 1st gear

  3. HKS M45IL spark plugs x6. Gapped but never installed. These were never dropped or anything silly like that. Asking $125. I can include the gapper tool for $25 more.

  4. BMS intakes with red filters. Had these installed for ~5000 miles so there’s plenty of life left before the reusable filters need to be cleaned. The metal brackets may have light scratches from being stored together, despite bubble wrap. Asking $250.

Reliable/Daily Tune

I’m looking for input or recommendations on building a reliable tuned daily driver. I’ve already got HPS intakes, ADDW1 BOV’s and PNP snorkels, and will soon be adding the JB4, HKS plugs, and Worms ignition coils. I’m not chasing Dyno numbers, I don’t want to run E85 (or 93 for that matter), just looking to have a fun but reliable daily that pulls nicely and sounds great… and oh yeah, I also pulled the trigger on the NGT high flow primaries and catless secondaries. ChatGPT is recommending Map 1, and also suggests I upgrade the intercooler, which would probably lead me to doing the BMS Intercooler and Charge Pipes - but that would be later, like 2027, cuz this round of mods cost way too much already.

Any JB4 / mapping / tuning tips from the community would be greatly appreciated to help me dial in a reliable but impressive daily sleeper build.

She's totaled, goodbye

Had her three and half years with 36k miles. Got t-boned in an intersection, but thankfully insurance and the sheriff both said I had zero liability for the crash so I'm going to get a full payout with no lien.

What's next? I really want to go for another G70

Insurance Question

How much are you all paying in insurance and should I switch providers?

I’ve been with Progressive for 4 years now. 26 male, only ticket was for speeding on 12/25/2021. Paying $242 a month for the G70 full coverage in Missouri. That seems high to me but maybe thats just what it is. If you have any recommendations for cheaper I’d love to hear it.

Spacers question

Yo i genuinely love the stock rims my g70 comes with i just want to powder coat them gloss black, but i also want better fitment. Should I be worried adding 25mm spacers? I see people say spacers are bad and some say they use them for years without issues

Is this a good deal?

Used (non CPO) 2022 G70 3.3T, 35k miles, $32k, one owner, no accidents, clean title. KBB says it's underpriced and has been listed for a month but that could be due to it being far from a metro area. It is not being sold by a Genesis dealer, just a small town dealer. Since it's far away I haven't made the trip, but figured I'd ask before I go if this is as good of a deal as it seems. Other than a couple blemishes, there's isn't anything wrong with the car (that I know of)

It appears there's only a month left of the 5year/60k mile warranty. Is that an issue?

The dealer selling the car also offers a free lifetime powertrain warranty but I don't know if that comes with a lot of stipulations and whether that means I can't do my own maintenance (oil, headlights, etc). Certain things are free only if I have the work done there (~2 hours away).

Thanks!

I’m tempted

I’m not sure what I’d like to get into if I sold though. It’s hard to find the bang for your buck that the G70 gives. Suggestions?

Is my car a lemon?

At 50 k miles i have a transmission fluid leak, worn suspension tension rod bushings, worn diff bushings, warped rotors, a radiator hose leak, a busted evaporator core, a failed window motor, a couple other things i can't remember off the top of my head. I went to the new dealer in town and this seems insane! They showed me all the items and they aren't wrong, just seems crazy that this all happens at once and even if i do the work myself its expensive as heck.

Do i need to get rid of my lemon? trade it in?

Catless + Borla pt 2

I made a post yesterday asking about full catless + borla, I was trying to see if anyone has any insight, too loud, rasp, and all that. Here’s the clip of mine with catless secondaries + borla. This is around ~1,100 - ~2,000 rpm. No tune, the burble comes stock from factory I believe
