Do you think Zak Bagans is the best paranormal investigator of all time..??
is there anyone better than him..?
is there anyone better than him..?
I recently decided to check out Zak Bagans' The Haunted Museum by myself. I was honestly pretty scared to go solo at first, but I ended up having the absolute best time. I wanted to share a really weird unexplainable experience that happened right at the beginning, plus a few thoughts on the tour itself.
The Disappearing Glasses
So, my eyesight isn't great, but I hardly ever wear my glasses because I just don't like the way they look on me (and I refuse to wear contacts because I hate dealing with taking them out).
I was the very first person to arrive for my tour group. While I was waiting outside, one of the workers offered to take a picture of me. I said sure, and securely tucked my glasses down into my front pocket. There is absolutely no way they could have just fallen out.
After the picture, I reached for my glasses and they were just... gone. I retraced my steps, and soon I had three or four different workers helping me look for them. We couldn't find them anywhere. I finally gave up, went back to the entryway, and told the staff I was just going to go inside and to let me know if they turned up.
Right as I was about to head in, I looked over at a hedge near the front door. My glasses were resting perfectly folded on top of the hedges. There is no logical way they got there.
The Jack Kevorkian Room
The tour itself was fantastic. There were only five of us total in my group, which made it feel really personal. When we were in the Jack Kevorkian room, things got a little freaky, one of the people standing at the very back of the room felt something physically brush up against him.
Would I Recommend It?
100% yes, even if you are going by yourself.
Has anyone else had personal items mysteriously move around on the property before even getting inside?
As someone who is trying to be more active in the paranormal community, I try to hold upmost respect for everyone’s distinct belief systems. That being said.. Zak seemed to jump between and jumble different beliefs together in his book Dark World.
If I’m remembering correctly, he began by talking about how he didn’t inherently believe in anything but was rightfully so changed when he had his first paranormal experience.
He then began to open up in his belief in heaven and hell but then began stating material that were more on the polytheistic side of things.
That’s completely fine, I’m good friends with people under the Christian witch umbrella but parts of the show literally counteract this. The demonization of witchcraft, tarot cards and pentacles.
Obviously the show will cater to the majority and push the rhetoric of evil towards these things. Misinformation aside, how can he hold these beliefs while also lying about these who also believe the same thing?
That’s why I lost baring on the show 😅 growing up I was locked into the overdramatic vibe and horror elements but now as an adult with the ability to educate myself, it’s almost comical.
In the book he explains his take on demons. He fully believes in them but then goes to explain them as energy sources. Ding ding ding… he also mentions have buildings and areas can hold energy..animism..
But then he goes into full catholic mode…
Again, I want to be respectful of those who may just hold beliefs that match up to his. But the show is actively promoting misinformation about paganism and witchcraft. It’s like someone using tarot cards but freaking out when someone uses a pentagram/pentacle. It’s weird to me.
I would love to go on an investigation with those who have opposite view’s than me as long as they keep the demonization to a minimum 🙂↕️
In my opinion spirit box is the scariest device they use to communicate with the spirits. If i were to use one in the house asking questions and voices starts to come through it ,I think would never be able to sleep again..
Hi all!
I’ve seen a few posts of people who have gotten the lil stick figure guy from the SLS Camera tattooed. I love this idea, but I want to find an actual figure from an episode.
Do any episodes jump out at people? Any particularly memorable figures, maybe it was big or had more/less limbs than normal or it was doing something funny!
May have to do another rewatch to find one!
TYIA👻
How come the guys never ask specific questions to the ghosts?
They always ask the same questions over and over and over again, like “what is your name?” “Who killed you?” “Did you just scare me?”
I understand that they need to prove that ghosts are real and they ask the most basic questions to simply confirm their existence……… but we are 20+ seasons in…….. I think we all know ghosts exist. Why don’t the questions go deeper?
They never ask things like, “are you ok?” “What does it feel like to be dead?” “Do you still feel pain?”
Idk, I want to know what the ghosts are experiencing. I want to know what it’s like to be dead. I get that they are trying to prove things to skeptics, but at some point I wish they’d move on to more deeper/pointed questions
Has anybody had any experience using any of the devices the crew uses for their own investigation? If so, is there one in particular you would recommend? Evp recorder, spirit box, etc.
Long story short, my husband and I recently visited Zaks museum in Vegas, and we've both experienced some odd things in our house since returning. My husband more so than me, and he's a huge skeptic so I was surprised he even had something pretty unexplainable happen that spooked him. It's of course more than likely some coincidence, but I'm really wanting to get a piece of equipment just to see if we do pick something up.
So, I’ve been looking for a particular episode that (and bear with me) I woke up to one morning after sleeping through a GA stream autoplay. There was a scene in the basement of some location (possibly a saloon or something of the sorts wherein the crew captured some kind of shadow anomaly climbing either up or down the wall between posts with no explanation. If I remember right, the entity didn’t look humanoid or even animalistic, just a weird mass of shadow that looked to be no more than a foot in length as it sort of streaked up or down the wall.
Any ideas on what episode this could be? I’m pretty sure it was an episode for which they had switched to their “Things in this world,” introduction sequence.
My GF and I made Zak in Tomodachi Life! Please chime in with your favorite Zak catchphrases and sayings we can give to him to say 😋
This just showed up on my Instagram feed. It actually looks interesting to go to, but I’m a chicken so I don’t know if I could handle it 😂 I’ll watch the ghost & horror stuff all day but can’t even do haunted houses during Halloween time
I always try to avoid watching Ghost adventures right before bed time because i would hear unexplained phenomena and i would be soo afraid to go investigate and debunk them to the point ,I would not even wake up to go to the bathroom..lol
I know somebody is going to rain on my parade and tell me she’s married with five kids, but I am rooting for this love match. When they did house calls, especially the episode where the kid named Laul was summoning demons in her bedroom, they seemed to just be having so much fun together.
I can dream, right?
I've been on a kick of watching old episodes so I was really stoked to be able to see this place (from the outside 😭)
I honestly didn't really plan ahead so I didn't get an underground tour, but regardless it was an enjoyable day!
Feel free to use this thread to attach photos of locations you have visited yourself 😌 I always love seeing them
Why I do: I have a stressful life (don’t we all) working with kids all day with kids at home, too. I love a good true crime podcast, but there’s just something so comforting about Aaron or Billy asking a ghost what color pants 👖 it’s wearing through the Ovulus. I laughed so hard I wet my own pants. It’s my comfort show.
Why do you watch?
Zak mentions that after the investigation of Bobby Mackeys he went through hell for a period of time. He also says he went through something after messing with a doll in a different episode. Did Aaron Jay or Billy ever have these problems?
Did they ever do recordings of the hauntings that occurred to them after doing investigations?
Are there behind the scenes footage?
Upon inspection this isn’t Zak but by god does it look like him from far away. It’s like seeing Jesus on toast
