Been a while since I got into the character so I want to check out some of his books,I reread all-new ghost rider and really enjoyed it.
What are some books (or other media in general) that would be fun to consume?(specifically on Johnny)

My view on Ghost Rider in MCU.

Johhny Blaze:

1. Owner of 3 Auto repair shops in Austin(former stuntman)

2. Has dark humor.

Ghost Rider's powers:

1. Penance stare-inflicts pain on a target and can be made in a loop and scaled(like tenfolds or beyond by a host), regardless of target feeling remorse, only soul is required.

2. Hellifre-burns matter(any), souls(unless soul of target is divine or has cosmic power that protects soul), energy(any), magical shields(any)

3. Matter manipulation-can turn air molecules into chains that are tougher than adamantium/can increase his size exponentially and can turn someone into gold or any material he wants.

4. Sin & Soul perception. Host can tune his range, at maximum universe scale, meaning he knows every soul where is located and it's sins, regardless of distance, water, bunker, etc, also can't be manipulated by or told lie or told half truth-he would know.

5. Radioactive trails and X-ray vision. Host able to see organs through any object and even radioactive trails.

6. Extend chain infinetely

7. Infinite stamina-both host and transformed to ghost rider

8. Lack of fear-but not completely, only instinctive fears of host can still be-like falling from high ground, other non instinctive fears are burned.

9. Able to fly in space, though can't do it in atmosphere.

10. Strength-Stops red hulk's punch easily and overpowers multiple gamma monsters. Able to punch through bank vaults and tear someone apart.

11. Speed-Mach 10 hellcycle speed-and could go massively beyond that depending on host's will. Able to dash at exact speed of hellcycle.

12. Besides burning souls he can consume souls completely.

13. Zarathos can perceive all timelines, meaning perceives past present and future and can give information to host when someone tries to alter past.

14. Able to perceive soul that monitor him, regardless of distance, cameras, satelities, telescopes and etc, he knows exactly who looks at him.

Resistances:

1. To penance stare the host, another being has to overpower the host and has ability to manipulate souls with vast experience, otherwise it won't happen. To penance stare Zarathos(ascended spirit of vengeance and only 1 like that out of all), you have to have ridicilously huge power. Other spirits of vengeance are unascended, so they are weaker than Zarathos and you don't need so much power to penance stare them, just huge power and have vast experience in soul manipulation.

2. Complete immunity to physical damage, only divine weapons can pierce him and killing host isn't a guarantee since host can fight through.

3. Extreme resistance to telepathy. Any telepath entering his mind would have to breach through hellfirewall-which could burn telepath's mind if he/she decides to breach, leaving telepath without any consciousness.

4. Illnesses and Aging Immunity.

5. Reality altering resistance-can't be erased from reality, as having type 8 immortality, besides type 1, 2, 4 immortality.

6. Going back in time and stopping host's parents meeting each other won't stop present host becomming ghost rider. There's fixed time regardless even if host and it's parent alive in past where host of spirit of vengeance becomes ghost rider. So, no altering the past could change the present ghost rider.

7. Going back in time and stopping ghost rider from burning/consuming soul of the target won't stop target to die permanently. It's fixed time where target's soul is consumed/burned and even if target is far from ghost rider, target would still die at time ghost rider killed. Even erasure of timeline would be ineffective, as long as spirit of vengeance is bonded to host in that timeline-it's compltely impossible to prune or destroy timleine.

Info:

1. Spirits of Vengeance- God's own wrath as theory claim that most beings believe in, but no one knows for sure.(even Zarathos himself)

2. Ascended and Unascended spirits of vengeances, ascended is only 1-Zarathos. He is far stronger than every other spirit of vengeance, since he is ascended. Robbie's spirit of vengeance is not ascended, hence lacks raw power and hax variability and some resistances.

3. Mephisto tricked Zarathos and defeat him in hell, where mephisto's power is absolute in his realm and has pandomonium cube also with which he bonded zarathos into human host.

4. Zarathos himself perceives all timelines all past, present, future but Blaze doesn't.

Feats: 1) Uatu asked Blaze to punch universe when it was about to hit universe where Blaze is living and Blaze jumped and flied on space and when punched alternate universe so hard during incursion that it not just stayed on it's supposed place, but went towards compltely other universe potentially making incursion and watcher told Blaze not to hit this hard and teleported him to other universe from where he punched.

2. When thrown to black hole, he has so much energy-beyond infinity that black hole couldn't contain beyond infinite energy and shrunk to nothingness

3. When from sixth dimension soul eaters made avatars into spacetime, Blaze perceived them and killed all them, then he opened portal to 6 dimension and ascended to there(his consciousness too) and killed every soul consumer there, but he was trapped-someone made a octillion magical locks, then Blaze punched 6th dimension so hard that it cracked, though wasn't destroyed, it had opened the way to 5th dimension-dimension of watchers and he went there and from there descended to spacetime.

i have a question that i was hung up on for the entire movie - why did the devil kill johnnys dad? how did that make any sense?

johnny sells his soul to save him dad > devil saves him then immediately kills him > devil waits 20 years and tells johnny to deliver the contract > johnny screws over the devil by not delivering the contract and keeps the rider curse instead

wouldnt it have been way more effective to just let johnny have a gf and another 20 years with his dad, that way when the devil tells johnny to get the contract and be rid of the curse johnny just does it? he'd have more incentive because 1. he actually would owe him, and 2. he could get rid of the curse and freely live a normal life with his family?

all it would take is "hey remember how i saved your dads life? you still owe me, go get me this contract real quick and we're even" and i feel like theres a wayyyy better chance johnny would do it

idk how screwing over johnny and killing his dad would NOT come back to bite him in the ass later, which it did, especially after another rider already got the contract and refused to hand it over

am i missing something or is the devil just a moron who does evil things just to be evil even if it's strategically moronic?

Do you think ghost rider does anything on his off time? (Not talking about the hosts)

I feel like he would be up to some funny stuff.

While I do enjoy ghost rider being a relatively serious character, It is a little cute to see the more humane side. What do you think?

The Ghost Riders have fascinated me for a long time and I'd like to know what are some good starting points and general storylines for the following; Johnny Blaze, Dannh Ketch and Robbie Reyes (yes, I do actually want to read Robbie Reyes. His aesthetic alone is 👌).

This has always kind of confused me, in the Ghost Rider movie when Ghost Rider first uses the penance stare on the mugger he ends of just being paralyzed? Like he just slumps to the ground and stays there. But in other instances I feel like ive seen it where the stare actively disintegrates the host becuase of it.

Is it a thing of like how bad the sins are that result in the outcome. Like if you've only stolen purses you just get paralyzed compared to if your a serial killer? Or are both wrong and it just actively hurts you but your just scarred forever?

i think danny would like cats, and johnny as well. i feel like robbie would be more of a dog person for some reason despite him having an art w a cat. tbh i also feel like johnny would be somewhere in between
