5 year old gifts?

My niece is turning 5! What are girls into these days? I’m thinking a costume but the ones online are all so generic and I know they will be poorly made too. Ideas please!

what's your go-to online platform for sending a gift to a friend in another city?

sending a small gift to a friend who just moved to portland — i'm in chicago, won't see her till december. amazon feels like 'i didn't think about this,' major flower sites all blur together. need: under $60, ships in 2-3 days, doesn't require her to pick up from a porch (apartment, package theft).

what's worked for me: small etsy candle shops, niche bath/body brands i found on instagram, a local bakery that ships overnight. what flopped: 'curated gift box' companies — every box feels the same.

what platforms have actually delivered something she'd remember?

E-Gift cards

Hey my name is trinity and I am new to this community, and i want to know if anyone is interested in buying e-gifts that has $61 balance and I have four of them. I bought them from my job app which they would give us money to buy from their store. Ended up buying four of hello fresh gifts cards and I ended up changing my mind and not wanting them anymore, can’t exchange them. So I wanted to know if anyone is interested in buying them. I’m selling them $100 hit up and I do Cash App.

Need birthday gift ideas for my best friend (28F)

My best friend’s birthday is coming up soon and I’ve been trying to find something nice for her, but everything I’m seeing lately feels super repetitive 😭
Candles, mugs, spa stuff… it all kind of blends together after a while.

Would love to hear what’s the best gift you’ve given or received recently for someone in their late 20s.
Not really looking for anything super expensive, just something that feels thoughtful and not too generic.

Comfort-focused gifts honestly seem more meaningful now than random novelty gifts

Interesting shift lately where people seem way more drawn toward gifts connected to comfort, rest, slower evenings, better sleep, self-care, or mentally unwinding after stressful days.

Not in a “fix someone’s problems” way, obviously.

More like gifts that help someone feel a little more grounded during overwhelming weeks.

Makes sense, honestly, considering how mentally overloaded many people seem lately.

I made this gift!

I made this as a birthday gift to a very special girl. This was based on a live stream that we did together 2 months ago. I just started making my own toy product last January, and it's not financially stable yet. Not many people buy what I do.

So instead of buying her a gift, I made this for her.

What are the best affordable gifts that people actually use ?

I have been thinking lately about affordable gifts because I have an anniversary coming up soon and I want to get something thoughtful without going overboard. We have all been there - you buy someone a gift, and 6 months later you find it collecting dust in their closet. I have realized lately that some of the best gifts that people appreciate are the simple ones ; like cozy hoodies, scented candles, skincare sets, cute mugs, books, snacks or even a little self care package seem to make people the happiest. I have also noticed practical gifts are actually underrated - things like water bottles, phone accessories, notebooks, mini speakers or desk items people can actually use everyday.

The hard part is usually finding something thoughtful without overspending. I was browsing on Alibaba and got overwhelmed by how many affordable gift ideas people leave reviews on that actually look useful and not just trendy for Tiktok.

I am curious what affordable gifts people here have received or given that were surprisingly good and memorable. What is something inexpensive that people genuinely love? I would love to hear recommendations or ideas from others .

My younger brother’s birthday is coming up soon and I’m trying to find something that feels a bit more personal than the usual shoes or random tech gifts.

He’s seriously attached to his dog and talks about him like he’s part of the family

While searching around for ideas, I noticed a few custom pet portrait frames from places some of them actually looked pretty clean as room decor. It got me thinking because it feels way more thoughtful than getting something generic he probably won’t care about in a few weeks.

I’m still deciding because I want something that actually feels meaningful but also worth the price.

For anyone who has bought pet related gifts before, what ended up being the biggest hit?
