Dual Kings Guide Update | Robin • Summeretto's arrival

I have updated the Dual Kings Guide Megathread to incorporate details about S. Robin and how she fits into the team. However, I don't expect everyone to reread the entire guide to see what changed, so I'm making a "patch notes" post for your convenience.

TLDR: S. Robin is pretty much the perfect support for Dual Kings - and you should strongly consider pulling for her under most circumstances. However, she is not a "must-pull" and you do not need to bench your MBlade, E1 Tribbie, RMC, etc. Let's talk about why.

Mortenax Blade and RMC were our previous best supports for the Dual Kings comp. MBlade was favored primarily due to his fast ultimate charge, his high teamwide amp, and frequent actions which sped up Gilgamesh quickly. RMC was valued due to their hypercarry playstyle that could buff action advance Saber up with true damage, charging the Joint Attack between the Kings at a faster pace, and overall synergized greatly with both Kings and their high rate of energy gain. For the E6 Saber players, RMC closed the gap with e0s0 MBlade as more or less on equal footing.

MBlade's weakness was that he has no way of providing action advancements to the team. RMC's weakness was that they were only able to reliably buff one unit (typically Saber).

At e0s0, S. Robin is like you combined these units for the best of both worlds.

  1. Provides large teamwide amp to directly support the Dual DPS playstyle
  2. Provides additional actions to quicken the rate of Joint Attack activations
  3. Provides energy directly to Saber, which translates to more energy for Gilgamesh as well

Once you begin vertically investing into S. Robin, her value explodes in comparison to her competition. This is where she really begins to stand out amongst the competition and where I greatly recommend her.

Signature LC

Signature LC: Provides a permanent teamwide speed boost (It says 2 turns, but Robin only ever takes one real turn), recovers SP, and provides Max HP to S. Robin (which translates to more buffing). It's important to note that this LC is better in practice due to Remembrance lightcones being in a bit of a dire state, especially if you're sharing things f2p Remembrance cones with other units already.

Eidolon 1

Eidolon 1: Provides true damage amp that can scale to be stronger than Tribbie's E1 and applies the damage independent from Saber / Gilgamesh's actions. This helps alleviate a massive issue with the Dual Kings: Damage Distribution. Due to the nature of their abilities, a vast majority of the team's damage comes from their ultimate attacks, which can often result in overkill damage. Robin's true damage amp is applied when her Summer Songbirds attack the enemy, meaning we can actually distribute our amped damage more consistently - leading to far less overkill and less wasted damage.

Eidolon 2

Eidolon 2: Provides faster Vibe stacking and a higher max Vibe count with some additional Res Pen. TLDR: Higher amp with better uptime.

ALL of S. Robin's early vertical is very strong for Dual Kings. The difference between an E2 S. Robin and an E2 MBlade are vast in gameplay.

💫 Question: Should I pull Robin Summeretto?
If you're serious about the Dual Kings team, then I do recommend it. If you've already invested into MBlade and he has no where else to go on your account then she's free to skip. If you're highly invested into Saber/Gil already - then you probably don't really need her anyway. Besides, who knows if the previously leaked Fate Collaboration Part 3 is true or not, and that might bring an even better teammate. Do you really want to wait a year for a "maybe" though?

https://i.redd.it/krrkk0f3b6kh1.gif

💫 Question: Does this mean I wasted pulls by getting Mortenax Blade?
Not at all! S. Robin, while objectively stronger in most situations, is what I would consider an *optional* upgrade over MBlade / RMC. The truth is that Dual Kings are performing very well right now with free teammates, and S. Robin is not so much stronger that I would consider her a must pull. If you already have MBlade, S. Robin is a luxury pull to make your team a bit stronger in some scenarios.

💫 Question: Are Robin Summeretto's eidolons/LC mandatory?
No! She is a complete unit at e0s0 and very formidable. She has strong vertical investment and I would recommend any investment stopping between up to e2s1 if you like her. I want to reiterate that while she is a minor upgrade over MBlade at low investment, she easily surpasses him once you start investing into both on this team.

💫 Question: I have E6 Saber, does that change anything about S. Robin?
Yes, it makes her even better on this team. However, the gap between S. Robin and RMC closes (similar to RMC vs MBlade with E6 Saber).

💫 Question: What relics / planars / stats do I use now?
I cover this in the main guide megathread, but I'll touch on it briefly here.

Stats: Under most circumstances, Gilgamesh and Robin provide such an absurdly high amount of Attack amp that it is more beneficial to run Speed boots and Energy Regen Rope on both Kings under most circumstances due to Attack amp saturation. TLDR: Get both Kings to 100% Crit Rate, then start going for CDMG and Speed substats. There are no particular speed thresholds you need to reach, but I like to have 140+ SPD not including S. Robin's signature speed bonus.

💫 Question: Even Energy Rope on Gilgamesh? I thought his energy regeneration was fixed?
It would be correct to say that *most* of his energy gains are fixed. He does benefit from energy regeneration (hence why his S1 and E4 both offer Energy Regen). To give you an idea, using Attack Boots and Attack Rope on Gilgamesh with e0s1 S. Robin nets my Gilgamesh a whopping 8.5k attack at e0s1 for the full team. This isn't considering his e1 attack bonus or S. Robin's e2 increased vibe count (I'm near 10k attack considering those). We are reaching such saturated territory here that you will barely notice losing some of your attack from a mainstat, but you will certainly notice when you're able to get an extra joint attack boosted Excalibur off throughout the course of a battle.

As per usual with energy breakpoints and stat thresholds, what is best will vary depending on team comp, investment, and encounter. For 0 cycle purposes you should experiment on what is best. A safe bet I could suggest for Gilgamesh specifically is going Speed Boots + Attack Rope or Attack Boots + Energy Rope if you're not comfortable giving up that much attack as a healthy middle ground.

Relics: Honestly, I am just going to blanket recommend Genius set here. If you already have an amazing Scholar set then it's not a big deal, but you're missing a lot of damage by not running Genius on both Kings with S. Robin. This is even more true if you have things like E2 Saber, E1 Gilgamesh, and/or E2 S. Robin which all stack additional def shred. Due to Robin's dynamic Vibe stacking throughout the battle, defense shred overcap is nothing to be concerned about.

Run Scholar if you're struggling to build the characters, run Genius in all other situations. If you're really good at optimizing rotations, you can run Wind Eagle on the Kings, but I would reserve this only for the most skilled Dual Kings mains.

Genius of Brilliant Stars

💫 Question: Is Genius really best? Are there any concerns of overcapping on defense shred?
Defense Shred becomes much more powerful the more of it you have. It is a common misconception that an invested Dual Kings team can have Saber overcap on defense shred. S. Robin's vibes fluctuate during battle, and you will never achieve 100% def shred without genius in a sustained comp using HuoHuo. Even during sustainless, RMC is often the preferred 4th slot, which means you're not gaining 100% def shred anyway. It sucks to refarm, but Genius is worth it on Dual Kings in this comp.

Planars: Cosmic Science remains the best here, but there are plenty of alternatives you can find in the main guide.

Cosmic Life Sciences Institute

💫 Question: Should I pull e0s0 S. Robin?

  1. Do you have MBlade?
  2. Is your Trailblazer available for Dual Kings?
  3. Do you have e1 Tribbie?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then you do NOT need S. Robin. She is a sidegrade/minor upgrade in a majority of situations. To be extremely clear, S. Robin's primary strength is how strong she is at e0s0, and most importantly how much stronger she can be with vertical investment.

In a world where MBlade and S. Robin are wanted by most teams in the game, having substitutes is a good thing. There is no need to pull a unit if it means benching another one who is otherwise still viable.

💫 Question: How do I build S. Robin?
I will direct you to everyone's favorite character guide content creator Guoba Certified for this question. As a tldr though, here are some thresholds to aim for:

  1. 7k HP or more
  2. 186Spd during combat (for a breakpoint in the first cycle)
  3. Ignore crit substats on Dual Kings, her damage isn't important

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask below or on the main megathread. I try to answer as many questions as I can!

losing hope with the lightcone

i dont think i can do 21 pulls in 6 days chief

my glorious king will have to wait in 750989 years when hsr gives a fate lightcone for free

if you guys have tips on how to get more pulls in that span of time i would appreciate it so much; ive done all of the major endgame events, even with past events; i cleared the simulated universe endgame modes and even recently discovered the silly on the rails penacony game at clock studio park

Not sure about this choice anymore

At first it felt like a no brainer

I don't have gil or saber so naturally I was going to pick archer lc but now that I've finally arrived at this point, im being told it's no longer his Bis. I have e2s0 archer, i do plan on getting rin eventually and i do plan on getting ashveil lightcone but the thing is i was hoping to use my ashveil team and archer team side by the side. It made sense, archer uses his Lc, ashveil uses his, end of story

But if archer wants ashveil's lc, what do I do? Do I pull 2 ashveil lc? And what should I pick here? From the looks of it gilgamesh lc doesn't look like a bad pick for a future destruction unit, or is that assuming too much? Im way too confused

Is the difference between archer lc and ashveil lc really that significant?

SPD boots with SRobin? Gil Saber core

For Saber Gil core ATK is not saturated? So SPD over ATK to get more vibes? And does the Robe changes? Does he have recommended break points related to spd? And does GENIUS become BiS?

E1S2 Tribbie vs E0S0 Mblade/E0S0 Robikini

So my tribbie is on E1 and has an S2 of her signature (Yes, I superimposed a limited 5 star cone) and now I'm torn between getting Mortenax and Robikini, I can't decide if I should get either and if they will be an upgrade for my GilBer team. And at what point do either of the two surpass E1S2 tribbs

Confused who to choose for Ashblade? Gilgamesh,Aventurine,Robin? Here is your answer.

At E1S1 they are equally powerfull for diferent reasons, more or less but they are there.

(Disclaimer, pick the one that you like the most this is for people that like all 3 and have to choose 1 or dont know)

-Pick WAven if Elation has kicked your *ss and want the most powerful option for the long run, mid base power but the strongest end of the 3 while invested, recomended if you want to follow the meta or want to make aventurine the strongest at the cost of reducing Ashveil damage output, now outside of this team is deadweight (not including elation ofc),Hyacine best sustainer but lets see what pearl does for him.

-Pick Robin SP if you want the duo to shine the most, they are doing the most damage and both becomes the main dps in a way, she gives value for your entire account so even if they create a stronger team she can be in another, Like her song(important lol) and has a high base power and stays high with investment, at E0 she is a support at E1 onwards she hits like a truck also just by existing makes your team speed demons lol, Hyacine best sustainer.

-Pick Gilgamesh if you wanna invest in Blade specifically, this team is the one that benefits the most of his vertical investment,Probably the most fitting aesthetic wise,bad-mid base power huge peak at E1 but mid at best late (I would say bad late if he didnt peaked in E6), if you are looking for the cheapest cost and leave it there or go all in into blade he is your man, also his healer slot is unknown, Huo2 has anti synergy (even if she is the best here) because you trade more energy using skill for less actions (stacks) for the team, also has the chance to grow A LOT if they for some chance create a fate character either a support (Ashveil is good but he is the weakest link here) or a sustainer that buffs him like he did with saber.

Summary.

Aven is the safest and strongest pick,a 1 man army cheatcode for elation Mid early, highest end.

Robin flexible and good pick and at the worst case scenario she can go somewhere else, high early, high end.

Gilgamesh is the riskiest one he can be an Anaxa buffed a billion times indirectly or a Boothill forgoten by time even his BIS sustainer is unknown, at the end FATE has to decide, its a gamble, Bad-mid early, High peak at E1, Bad-mid end.

I hope i help you decide because a lot of people are somewhat confused and pls this is my opinion and be civil about it <3

Disclaimer - I count Gilgamesh 0 cost at E01S1, if you read this over his free LC and character period then unless you like him in performance is a lot worst than the other two no questions asked, you decide if its worth it or not.

Sam Please! Don't embarrass me in front of my new friends 😭

Can't a guy show off these days without getting hit with the 1% 😔

That awkward cough from RMC really rounded off the humiliation

E1S1 Gilgamesh
E2S1 Blade

E6 Welt on S2 Holiday

E0S0 Ashveil or Robikini E0S0?

I have E0S0 Gilgamesh and I am planning to get his E1 soon. I have E2S0 MBlade that's why I also want to main Gilgamesh (aside from the fact that I like him) and consider Ashveil as sub-dps + follow up buffs, crit dmg, and def shred. I've been thinking who's better to get for that team and as of now it composes of E0S0 Gil, E2S0 MBlade, vacant, E1S0 HuoHuo/E0S1 Hyacine and from what I saw, Robikini is going to be as good as MBlade. Thanks in advance, guys!

Would love a suggestion as well for what to aim like eidolons of ashveil or robikini.

Man I wish my king Gil would make me his pet

his fingers, collar already waiting around my neck. No more thinking, no more choices… just his property. He’d own every part of me, use me however he wants, and I’d thank him for it. God, just the thought of belonging to him completely has me aching
