I recently saw Friendly Rivalry 2X and I still have questions…
After I watched it the first time I had to immediately watch it a second time because I felt like I missed a lot of plot points since there were so many twists and turns and the editing is really quick at times. I went looking for answers on the Internet and some of those questions did get answered, but there are still a lingering few. So to those who have seen the show or read the manga, I’d be curious to hear your answers. Thanks much in advance.
PS, I thought this was one of the best GL’s ever and I get now why it was so hyped. Also, for anybody who hasn’t seen it yet it’s available not just on Netflix but, also on Tubi, which is free.
- In the scenes around the drugs placed in the locker as bait, Jae-Yi sends Jena as a distraction for the police. Later that they are on the subway and Seulgi has the drugs in her backpack, but then there’s another scene where they go to the locker and the locker is empty, where they assume Jena has been arrested because she took the drugs. They go to the police station and obviously she’s not there. Then there’s another scene where Seulgi has the drugs at home and almost throws them away. Was this just a continuity mistake?
- Ye ri often refers to her “parents” in school as being in Paris or going bankrupt. In a flashback as a little girl says, she says that she won’t tell Dad what happened if her mom lets her eat what she wants after an audition where she saw her mom making out with some guy. What kind of husband would let their wife work in a hostess bar? What kind of parents would let their child sleep at a bathhouse? All of which makes me think that Ye ri’s mom was a single parent all along. Or has Yeri just been on her own for a while now?
- When Gyuong is trying to erase her footage of the night before last year‘s CSAT exam where she sees Jena and the math teacher, Yeri catches her. She asks Gyuong why she kept silent about the math professor and Jena. The only footage of the professor and Jenna was on Jena‘s phone and then later on the Woo‘s phone. How did Ye Ri know that the math teacher had slept with Jena?
- Did Jaeyi let Yeri in on at least part of her plan? She got the video editing book during the time that Seulgi could not reach Jaeyi. When she was confronting Gyuong about the drugs, she told her to stop trying to beat Jaeyi and to keep her mouth shut if she wanted to keep the private tutoring. She also had access to the operating room video. It was clear she did not like the father when she was editing the video and knows he’s a hypocrite.

New Japanese GL Confirmed to be Adaptation of Manga "How do we Relationship?"
The producer of the upcoming (starting September) Japanese GL, who is the same producer of Ayaka is in love with Hiroko and Call me by no-name, has shared a post from a new account, stating that they will release news about the cast for the new GL tomorrow.
The name of the account is "tsukikana" (https://x.com/tsukikana\_mbs) and the Japanese title of How do we Relationship? is Tsukiatte agetemo ii kana, so it's confirmed!! I'm curious to know about the cast. I think they did a very good job with the previous GL dramas.
