Looking for advice
I’ve got a GivEnergy inverter and battery installed several years ago but now my system doesn’t work due to a fire that was caused by the hardware. The installer is still trading but hasn’t offered a solution where I’m in a position to just before the fire. With GivEnergy in administration, what should I do?
Edit: just to add since it was asked a couple of times. My insurance. Only covers up to £1k since they are outside items installed on the exterior of my garage wall.
I’ve also been told that I might be able to get my money back through section 75
AIO /gateway distance from meter tails
Hi all
I’m looking for a steer on moving my all in one and gateway.
I want to move my all-in-one from the attic to the garage, which is about 60 feet away from the meter tails. The garage is connected to the consumer unit with a 16-square SWA cable run.
The original installer has stopped trading so I’m trying to find an alternative.
Is this a workable distance, and if so what materials would be required? Alternatively would it be possible to leave the gateway and move the battery if its easier?
Just trying to figure out what's possible before I go down this path
Many thanks
