Hello everyone. I have a 1989 US Spec Golf GL 1.8 manual with power steering. I recently noticed it is leaking power steering fluid from a cracked and broken bellow on the driver side.

I assume that this isn’t supposed to happen under any circumstance and just replacing the bellow isn’t the fix here.

If I need to replace the power steering rack do you have any suggestions on where to get a good quality replacement?

Any hopes of rebuilding this myself with a kit that is available?

I am sick and tired of the H&R coilovers the previous owner had put in my Golf. Especially for the roads of where I live, they are way too stiff and the car itself (as well as my back) is absorbing all the impacts.

I tried to look for the OEM suspension but it seems that Volkswagen doesn't sell it anymore.

Would anyone know where it might be possible to find the OEM suspension, or something that is very similar to it?

I don't want sporty coilovers, or anything like that. I want it to be the closest to OEM as possible!

Looking to sell an 85 Gti. Not necessarily on here if it’s frowned upon. Just curious where you guys are searching for cars? Craigslist seems dead and fb is hit or miss. Vortex was a ghost land and the samba always been for mostly aircooled.

Is there somewhere I’m missing? Where do people sell/buy mk2 these days? I’m in Texas in the US if that makes a difference.
