S03E11 plot is a big stretch

So they're exchanging Azzura and the baby for Enzo and Ciro and, somehow, instead of having a direct exchange in person, they do this thing where E&C are supposed to be left alone in a warehouse for Charmer's people to just pick up. And voila, it's a trap! No way an organization of that level would accept such a stupid proposal to send people into a location that was chosen by counter party, especially after the "kids" did what they did by killing off their people ,stealing the weapons and causing ruckus. They relied on a phone call as a confirmation that the deal was honored and it wasn't even made by Charmer's supposed #1 guy (the bald guy who he shares his first scene with), which would definitely raise a flag. Feels like the show is dropping off in quality after season 1 & 2 (with season 1 being apsolute peak so far), aside from Bulgarian episode, which was amazing. Genni would've died end S2, but for some reason the ruthless mafia boss who he put in prison for a year and skimmed from his business somehow let's him go? (He was prepared to kill his daughter & grandson now, but spared Genny in the past, who is known to cause troubles everywhere he goes, come on...). Went from amazing show to plot armor galore, where Ciro and Genny get out of every sticky situaton.
No spoillers after S03E11 please!

Luciana's betrayal

Do you think Ciru and Enzo were so naive to believe Luciana? I feel it was so stupid to trust Luciana because she was Mistral's wife. No way Azzu would betray Gennaro, i don't know if Luciana was naive too.

Are many viewers mature enough to understand what Gomorrah is trying to say?

As a deep Naples conoisseur, it is pretty clear to me that Gomorrah is not a documentary on the city, but an attempt to show life entirely from the perspective of a street camorra thug. Everything you see is what he/she see/feels/goes through. It's almost like a painting in that regard, a piece of art. The darkness of the place is as much a representation of the internal life of the criminal than it is of places like Vele di Scampia and similar spots.

However, more than once, I had to find myself explain to Gomorra watchers that the city of Naples has actually a significantly lower murder rate than Baltimore, Chicago, and even New York and LA, that it also has way nicer (either touristic or residentially wealthier) areas and suburban towns, and the fact that in the real world 70% of those who die on the show actually get arrested and sometimes even rat each other out to the police/prosecutors.

That is because, unlike shows like The Wire, The Sopranos etc, Gomorrah CHOOSES not to include the police/judiciary/normal people angle. So it leaves it to the maturity of the viewer to understand this. But are viewers these days mature enough to really understand what these type of shows are trying to say?

Ima Be Honest

Gonna be honest I always loved Goodfellas, Casino, A Bronx Tale, GodFather 1&2, Once Upon A Time In America, Sopranos ect ect.

And I'm always waiting for the next LCN Mob movie to release, but I absolutely HATE reading subtitles while watching cinema. Always feels like im taking away/missing things thats happening. Been debating watching Gomorrah for like 2 years now would you guys truly say it's worth the trouble to read the subtitles for thie entire series ?

Gomorra vibes in Ostia

Ostia at dusk.
Heavy clouds swallowing the sunset.
Waves crashing like they’re hiding something.

This city doesn’t rest. It just waits.

Most Disturbing Scene(s)?

I was telling a friend of mine how Gomorrah is easily one of my top 2-3 favorite shows, but warned it's not for everyone given the violence is extreme and the darkness is truly unrelenting.

With that said, what do you think was the most disturbing scene of the series?

For me, I think it's Manu's capture and killing (little Daniele's teenage girlfriend.)

Conversely... are there ANY moments of comedic relief or lightness? I really don't think I can recall a single one.

Miss this show overall though, debating another rewatch at some point...

The apartment building

That's a real apartment building I assume, is that area really rough and it's it worth visiting? My wife and I are huge fans and are planning a trip to Italy.

Had the show boosted tourism in the area at all? I would also like to visit the area that Blueblood operated in, what is it called?

Sorry if these are stupid questions

Ue, Sangueblu?!

Walking the city’s streets there is always a great chance of running into someone amazing! Or get run over by a motorino. It’s never dull in Napule!!!

Gomorrha: Die beste Serie der Welt

After a long, grueling struggle of epic proportions, Beta Film GmbH has withdrawn its copyright claim, which means the video is finally available on YouTube. However, that doesn’t help if no one watches it. So, if you’re a Gomorrah fan, please help make the series more popular in Germany by giving it a click or a like to give the algorithm a little push. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kjau56ro_RA

Many thanks! : )

After Gomorrah every show seems boring.

Is there any crime show like Gomorrah where you feel every death, which is not hollywood killing the entire army with one mag.

I also liked Zero zero but not as much as Gomorrah, Kin, Umbre, Peaky Bliders, mr Inbeetwen and Animal Kingdom.

I didn't like Gangs of London, Top Boy and Suburra

Money and economics question

this is something i really analyze in every show movie whatever, the economics and i want to get some perspectives on it, so of course the soldiers corner boys and muscle are broke or at best just doing ok like ciro who had a nice car nice apartment and about 60 K saved up before having his own market, once they get their own market its like they are now bosses over that and its their profit, so basically from employee to owner of that, but then they jump to significant sums, Don Pietro made like 435 grand a week, first of all my understanding is thats from multiples markets neighborhoods, but its still huge, and would that have been without the cost of the people the dealers, others in the alliance like zingarello also had markets but seemed broke
