Google Flow Plus. Why no video/veo option?

Google Flow Plus. Why no video/veo option?

Why do I not get the option to generate a video? In every tutorial I've seen, people have the option to generate videos from still images. I am on the PLUS plan, so I should theoretically have plenty of credits. Any suggestions? Is there something about having to sign up a certain WAY? Like through Google One or something? Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Google Flow blocks video generation on all accounts on my main Android device (images still work) after doing security changes today

Hey everyone,

I’m having a strange issue with Google Flow and I’d like to know if anyone else experienced something similar.

What happened:

I have several Google accounts signed in on my main Android phone (some older personal ones + some newer ones).

Today I spent the day securing some of the accounts (changed passwords, reset 2FA/Authenticator, removed recovery phone numbers, signed out unknown devices).

I did not use Google Flow at all during the day.

Around 7 PM I opened Google Flow to generate some videos.

Video generation is immediately blocked on every account on this phone (including accounts that I didn’t touch today and that were already on the device for a long time).

Image generation still works fine on the same accounts.

On another device, video generation works normally with the same accounts.

Question:

Has anyone seen Google Flow temporarily block video generation at the device level after doing a lot of security changes on multiple accounts?

Does this kind of restriction usually lift after 24 hours, or is there something specific I should do?

I’m planning to just wait 24 hours and try again tomorrow, but I’d like to know if this is a known behavior.

Thanks!

Downloading upscaled video

I have generated a few short clips and want to get the 1080p upscaled video. Now when clicking the three dots, then download, then 1080p it start converting the video. Afterwards, I get a popup that says that is is finished and there is only a close button. No way to download the 1080p video.

If I convert to 270p I get a download link as well in the popup which is absent when I choose 1080p.
Also, if I choose 1080p a second time, the popup does not even appear.

This is a bit unfortunate since the 1080p was the reason I bought the subscription. How to work
around this?

Free user. Editing images want to upscale but tells me Upscaling failed. No previous issue until days ago?

It only lets me download an original size no upscaling. Before I would download upscaled images all of the time zero issue. I try with a different Google acount and Flow and upscaling works. Seems Account restricted but no idea why. Doesnt tell me about a limit just says failed

Image generation random aspect ratio

No matter what aspect ratio I choose when modifying an uploaded image, it will randomly be either 16:9, 4:3, or 1:1; whether I choose 3:4 or 9:16. Is anyone else having this problem?

I Made a Dialogue-Driven Tamil Short Film with Limited Credits on Google Flow

I wanted to try making a dialogue-driven short film using the limited credits I had on Google Flow, without having the entire story planned beforehand.

I just gave it a shot and wanted to see how it would turn out.

Watch it and let me know your honest thoughts and feedback!

NOBODY PANIC...THE OFFICE IS ON FIRE!!!

When management says they’re 'turning up the heat,' they usually don't mean a literal 5-alarm fire. But at Burrow & Associates, we’re just leaning into the chaos.

Automated Google Flow

I built a Chrome extension to automate batch image & video generation in Google Flow

I’ve been working on a Chrome extension called AutoFlow and I’ve finally got it to the point where I’d like other people to properly test it.

The idea came from using Google Flow and getting tired of the repetitive workflow when generating a lot of images or videos — copying prompts one by one, adding the same references again, waiting for generations, downloading everything manually, renaming files, keeping track of what failed, etc.

AutoFlow runs alongside Google Flow and turns that into more of a proper batch workflow.

You can paste a whole list of prompts, choose your image/video settings and references, and let it work through them automatically.

Some of the things I’ve added:

  • Batch image and video generation
  • Multiple prompts in one run
  • Reference images shared across a batch or assigned individually
  • Chained references, where the previous result can become the reference for the next prompt
  • Queue multiple batches and let them run one after another
  • Pause, resume and stop jobs
  • Automatic downloading and sequential file naming
  • Gallery that keeps generated results organised by batch/prompt
  • Reusable reference image library
  • Failed generation detection and retry/repair tools
  • Detailed logs so you can actually see what is happening instead of wondering why something stopped

I've tried to make it feel less like a macro clicking buttons and more like a small production workflow built around Flow.

For the next 2 weeks I've made AutoFlow completely unlimited and free to use, mainly because I want people to actually push it, use large batches and tell me what breaks or what could be improved.

If anyone here uses Google Flow regularly, I'd really appreciate some feedback — especially from people doing larger image/video batches.

I'm still actively developing it, so feature suggestions and bug reports are very welcome.

I'll put the link in the below if anyone wants to try it.

Tamil Horror movie trailer I made

I made a 2 and a half minute horror movies vie trailor in Tamil. I am using Google flow android app and it only provides limited options. There are some issues with character consistency and others. But I am satisfied with the output in general.

Horror doesn't need language. Please watch and let me know your feedback and suggestions.

Google blocks Gemini Omni video editing in Illinois and Texas

Google’s Gemini Omni cannot edit uploaded videos for users in Illinois or Texas. Google Flow displays a regional error when affected users attempt the feature, and Google’s documentation confirms that editing non-AI videos is unavailable in those two states. The restriction does not apply to general AI video generation: users may still create videos and edit AI-generated clips saved in their generation history.

Google has not publicly explained why Illinois and Texas are excluded. Both states regulate biometric information such as voiceprints and facial geometry. Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act requires covered companies to provide notice and obtain consent before collecting biometric identifiers, while Texas has similar consent requirements. However, neither law specifically prohibits AI video editing, and Google has not confirmed that the state laws caused the restriction.

Google has previously faced biometric-privacy litigation in both states, including a $100 million Illinois settlement involving Google Photos face grouping and a broader $1.375 billion Texas privacy settlement. The Gemini Omni restriction provides a current example of how access to an online service can differ by state as companies respond to varying privacy requirements.

SHOCKING INCIDENT

This is honestly a very concerning incident. I asked Gemini in YouTube Studio to create a thumbnail for me, and it used the exact same photo and background that I had saved in my phone gallery. The strange part is that I had never uploaded or shared that particular photo on any social media platform. I had only used it privately to create 5–6 thumbnails myself in PixelLab, and those thumbnails were never posted or shared anywhere. Yet when I asked Gemini to make a thumbnail, it somehow used that exact photo. I don’t know how it accessed or found it, but if an AI can access private images that were never uploaded or shared, that raises a serious privacy concern and is extremely dangerous.

The app is extremely annoying to use

Prompts resets after every inputs, the model defaults to 1x generation with Banana 2 by default whenever you return to the home page, generations hardly wants to download and so on

I shouldn't have to use the desktop version on mobile but that's me

why is google flow confusing?

today, i paid for 19 dollars subscription plan, and i cannot save any chat, and interface is very uncomfortable to use. Gemini was way more than it in terms of using video generation and giving some prompts for generating them.

but google flow is different level, i dont know a lot of things, but i want you to tell me guys

is it really normal, or it just seems like that to me ?

Google Flow's moderation has gotten stifling - Any guides on how to setup local models?

Seriously missing the day's of Whisk before the current censorship and moderation got so horrifically overbearing.

Can anyone suggest a guide or something to a relative newbie on how to setup a local model? Primarily interested in image generation.

When talking about system specs - would a desktop with a 4070 Super video card (and other specs are fairly decent) - be up the the task of running a local LLM fairly well...

Greatly appreciate the help! ❤️

I created an entire Sci-Fi short film using only Google Veo 3. Here is 'The Last Witness' – feedback welcome!

Hi everyone, I wanted to experiment with the capabilities of Veo 3. I wrote, generated, and directed this 5-minute sci-fi piece called 'LUDUS BELLI | The Last Witness'.

The story follows the last survivor of an alien invasion. I’m curious to know what you think about the consistency of the visuals and the pacing generated by the AI.

Poor error handling; "Failed! This generation might violate our policies." (Might?)

VEO says "try another prompt". I discard the block of text and try it with a 3-word simple and clean prompt and it still fails.

VEO says "try another prompt" again.

I ask the Flow Agent to make it query VEO for details but it says "I don't have a direct back-channel to query the underlying safety classifiers or generation logs for a detailed diagnostic report."

It's a high tech company with top-notch coders but they can't provide a concrete Error Handling?

When an error occurs, I just need to know what is wrong. Is it the text prompt? or the source video? audio track in video? or the visuals? or the faces? or it's a back-end server side error?

Why can't they just be clear about it?
