Shepherd's pie with beef?

These frozen dinners were on sale so I decided to try some. I was pretty surprised to see Gordon licensing his likeness to frozen food, but thought I would give it a go.

So far they are not too bad, relatively speaking. A little overpriced probably, but as far as a frozen meal goes, I've had worse.

The thing that really jumps out at me though is calling this Shepherd's pie while using beef. I have watched Ramsey roll his eyes and ridicule people for this exact thing. Why not call it Cottage pie, or use lamb?

Money changes people. Gordon would not eat these or the frozen meals himself.

We all know it, no need to sugarcoat it. We've seen his shows

At this point its just greed as he would still be swimming in cash without dropping the standards hes preached throughout his career

He never would but Gordon Ramsay should do Kitchen Nightmares but he visit his own restaurants in disguise. I’ve been to two of his restaurants, both were horrible

I went to Gordon Ramsay’s burger place in Las Vegas, and his restaurant in Liverpool.

In vegas I ordered the truffle burger, the burger was alright, it tasted good but was it felt like that fake truffle oil that is very intense flavour and you kinda get
numb to the flavour after a while if that makes sense, I also ordered the truffle fries which was a mistake, too much truffle but I’ll take the blame on that one lol.

Also I ordered it medium and was definitely medium rare bordering on rare, which isn’t what I like in a burger

One of the people with me ordered the vegan burger, which I tried and was the saltiest thing I’ve ever tasted it was absolutely horrible, which it’s vegan I didn’t except it to be amazing but for $30 you’d think it would at least be as good if not better that an impossible or beyond burger I could cook at home

Also afterward I felt sick, something was in that burger, maybe it was cause it was rarer idk

Next we gave it a shot in Liverpool, surely a restaurant in Gordon’s home country would be better right? Naw was awful.

The thing that was stupid was inside of that restaurant is two different menus, and you both have to agree what menu to order from

Gordon Ramsay Burger, or Bread Street

In retrospect we should’ve done bread street cause I saw some items coming out of the kitchen that actually looked good

The vegan was with me so we went for the burger menu though cause there we some more vegan options

We ordered some vegan chicken wings to start, sounds great to me

What came out was closer to Quorn or Beyond frozen chicken tenders, with okay dipping sauces.

The burger I got was the wellington burger, which I paid £4 to add an egg on top of, on top of the £15 I was already paying for the burger

What came out was a burger with the most over cooked egg I’ve ever seen, idk about other people but when I order an egg on a burger I want the yolk to be runny.

This yolk was literally crusty, that’s how overcooked it was, and honestly it felt like what they were thinking was “oh they are ordering from the burger menu, so since they don’t have any taste anyways they are not gonna notice an overcooked egg”

Anyways by the time it came out again with a fresh egg it has been siting under a heat lamp for so long it was dry af, beside the runny yolk which saved the burger at that point.

I just ate it though cause I didn’t want to wait for a whole other burger and also I didn’t expect the replacement to be much better

Ramsay what the hell? Like I would honestly be embarrassed to have my name on both of those restaurants

Anyone else have a bad experience? The thing that gets me if Gordon Ramsay or a high profile client walked in to either of those restaurants, I guarantee they would have a great experience, it’s the fact that an average Joe Smoe like me walks in and they don’t give us the same treatment, or the fact that we treated like less than for choosing to order from the burger menu, or choosing to order vegan stuff?

I understand the vegan stuff might not be the same, but like any restaurant it should be kept to the same standards as any of the dishes on your menu

Just have it be one menu, it really stupid, confusing, it limits your dining experience, and gives you way to many options, which Gordon himself has complained about on other restaurants he visits on Kitchen Nightmares

It ironic that his own restaurants don’t follow his own standards.

Anyways unless Gordon Ramsay goes in disguise and Kitchen Nightmares his own restaurants I will not be eating at another Ramsay Restaurant ever again

New to the sub

I’m new to the community, so I’m sorry if this has already been discussed, but… when does this man sleep 😭 I’ve been binging Gordon’s improvement shows, Kitchen Nightmares (old and new), 24 hours to Hell and Back, Hotel Hell; he’ll be like “I was up late last night coming up with a strategy and going through your finances etc.” but will still get there at like 6-7 am before all of the employees of said restaurant or hotel. Not to mention 24 hours to hell and back they’re just awake for legit 24 hours plus. Sometimes, with the way he bounces up and down and rages out, I wonder if he’s on adderall, cause I feel that 😂 but during the 2000s coke was more of a thing than prescription stimulants. So I’m kind of watching these wondering what stimulant he’s on alll the time in order to tweak out at such a high level. Idk 🤷🏼‍♀️ thoughts? Stimulants, passion, rage? All of the above? Either way, I understand his rage and tweak in my soul, so definitely no shade to soul papa Ramsay
