Uppsala Cathedral in Her Prime

Uppsala Cathedral in Her Prime

Originally finished in 1435 but got a neo gothic look in the 1880's, not long after the hired architect visited Cologne cathedral in Germany. He actually wanted even stronger gothic elements, but his suggestions were denied three times.

The photo is taken after the completion around 1890. Sadly, she was stripped of a lot of her exterior gothic in the 70's.

Onweersbuien boven Utrecht gisteravond

Terwijl ik onder me het lawaai hoorde van de kroegen, had ik dit prachtige uitzicht van de buien over de stad.

Anyone good at identifying buildings?

I got a sticker book for my birthday because it said gothic on the ground so my sister bought it for me 🤧

Anyways there’s a page of a bunch of churches/cathedrals/random architecture bits

Anyways does anyone know what these are? It would be cool to know the places at least so I can use them in my journals if I ever go visit

The breathtaking Gothic Hall inside Ras El Tin Palace, Alexandria, Egypt

I wanted to share these stunning shots of the Gothic Hall at Ras El Tin Palace in Alexandria. The blending of Gothic architecture with Egypt's royal history is absolutely mesmerizing.
