Sp9a3 question about swapping lowers?

I love my sp9a3s and I am patiently waiting for the lingle scorpion lowers. I really want to put an frt in it but I do travel with it to Florida where frt's are illegal. If i buy two lowers for it and frt one will I be able to swap them and it run reliable enough to bet your life on it? Also will the frt conversion work with the 40 degree locking block. Explain things not as if I'm completely retarded, but maybe as if a 43 year old man who's frontal lobe as developed yet. If you want to know about how to treat wastewater 💩 or fix sewer lines I'm your guy but I'm still learning about working on guns.

Complete 10mm

Finished off my stribog sp10a3.

Aems gold dot, arms republic comp, strike industries brace, folding charging handle, improved bolt catch paddle, magpul afg, short stroke buffer, and a (not installed) reduced weight trigger spring. Not putting one more penny into this thing, except for ammo.

Included a pcc family photo.

Psa arv with wood furniture, Romeo5, breek charger, and a cmc flat trigger.

Kuna or used stribog for home defense PCC.

I've been looking at both guns, I want a pcc to go along with the 9mm handgun I just bought but I cant decide between these two, Ive heard amazing things about the Kuna, and mixed reviews for the stribog. A local pawn shop has both a stribog sp9a1, and sp9a3 for 600, and 700$ respectively.

Do I go with one of the used stribogs? Probably the sp9a3 as I want a delayed blowback PCC, or save up for a new Kuna as I dont see myself finding a used one locally any time soon. Any and all input is appreciated, Ive never owned a PCC but I like the look of these two and most of what I've heard about them. Thanks!

I reconfigured the SP9A3s

I changed to a Votatu multi reticle red dot, that was on my 1301 shotgun. These sites can take a beating. Then I got the toughsoul laser light combo that mounts on the top pic rail. I can still co-witness the flip up sights and I don’t have to take the red dot off. I like this, it keeps it all low profile and I can still use a see clamp grip up front. I did take the folding charging handle out and put the original back in. I also changed to the 40 degree block and took the short stroke buffer out as I plan to run this suppressed. Lastly, I changed the brace from the SIG to the Gear head and I think this setup is perfect. I just need to sight everything in as soon as possible.

Disappointing Range Trip

Came back from the range this morning.
Sad to say that my bog still has issues with stove piping.

It's an SP9A3 gen2.

I have the GO curved mags and installed the short stroke buffer and that helped, i no longer have FTF/FTE but when it gets down to the last three or four rounds i end with stove piping. Both mags 90rounds thru each and ended the same.

Disappointed to say the least.

Time to reach out to GO and see if they can do something to fix these issues because as frustrating as this is, i still really enjoy the feel of this pcc, the way it shoots and carries and its overall looks.

If i can inly get it to fire reliably now, that would be great!

Where are we at price-wise?

Shopping for a SP9A3S, Im seeing sales around $850 last year, cheapest I could find now is about $1000. Should I wait for a better deal or is this the new market price?

Anyone have a lead on a KD Gunwerx damper kit?

I'm not looking to break any rules here, just looking for help.

I went to purchase a KDGunwerx Stribog short stroke buffer / damper kit, and he told me that they're sold out and he has no plans to make any more. Huge bummer!

Does anyone know of any other retailers that sell them? Searching hasn't yielded any results and I already posted on gafshub.

Appreciate your help

UPDATE: He got better pricing from his machinist and they're now available again on his site.

What advantages would a 10mm Stribog PCC offer over a PSA Jakl in 5.56 with a 10” barrel?

Later this year I want to buy a CQB/“backpack” rifle braced pistol. I really like fully folding stocks since I hate how shorty ARs are spoiled by that buffer tube, so the buffer-less PSA Jakl really appeals to me. (Broadly speaking the Jakl is AR15 ergonomics but with a long-stroke piston like an AK-47).

Simultaneously, my girlfriend has been looking at a 9mm PCC, either an MP5 clone, Kuna, or Stribog. While helping her research that, I found out the Stribog is offered on a larger frame in 45 ACP and 10mm. I found out my old military buddy on the other side of the country has an A1 10mm Stribog and loves is, but now it’s offered in A3 so it’s roller-delayed and not blowback.

So for CQB, but also for a theoretical capability to range targets out to 150-200m, potentially use in steel challenge or applicable tactical games, which of the two would you advise?

I Won a RIX RIP-3C Laser Unit

I won this in a raffle for practically nothing. Not sure I love it. The white light option isn’t FANTASTIC, but, it works well enough. I’m gonna run it a bit and see.

Anyone have any experience with these?

B&T for the poors

Ember Armory’s new stock. While it looks cool there are a lot of cons with it so far. Hopefully they get it right with future releases.

  1. It blocks the ejection port.
  2. Have to buy a picatinny adapter if you don’t already have one, and it has to be the HBI one if you want the QD sling point. The QD on the strike industries version will not work. Had to return that one and buy the HBI through trial and error.
  3. Out of the box it came very stiff. I have to use a lot of force just to collapse and extend it. I don’t think “breaking it in” will fix it. One of the bars seems to be out of spec or has a slight bend in it not noticeable to the naked eye. As one bar glides very smooth, the other gets caught up.
  4. None of the screws have any indication of loctite. The screw that holds in the plate to lock the stock in place was loose when I went to take everything apart. When I put it back together that screw easily strips, probably why they had it so loose.
  5. Their return policy says no returns if it has been opened. So now after finding out all these issues I can’t even return it and for the price that is crazy.
  6. The stock itself is a slippery metal finish and doesn’t have much grip when shouldered. I think a rubber pad would help or some skateboard grip.
  7. There are no Allen wrenches included which is needed to tighten it to the adapter.

Most of these cons can easily be fixed. I think I just got a lemon, but for the price I’d expect better or at least on par quality with the KES or other competitors, which this did not have out of the box. Being brand new I can understand why it’s not perfect yet, but I feel this product was rushed. Some more R&D should have been put into it, such as a different design of the shoulder piece itself to include QDs on each side, a cutout on the bar near the ejection port, and some quality control before sending the product out could have put this in the same bracket as B&T’s stock.
