Hello, i want to share some pics i made this and the last year, enjoy

This video isnt a great quality because it was filmed from quite a distance. We observed a crested tit in a botanical garden. My mother spotted her first but I was skeptical because we are in south of the country and crested tits are present only in northern parts (more mountainous environment).

But than I saw her and was in complete awe, had to film her quick :)

In the botanical garden there are lots of old coniferous trees so she was most likely drawn by that :)

The leucistic Great Tit is a rare and ethereal variation of one of Europe’s most familiar songbirds — its usual bold yellow and black replaced by soft cream and pale grey tones. The result is a bird that looks almost like a faded memory of itself, quietly blending into winter light and urban trees.

Here are five fascinating facts about this species:

1. Leucism is a genetic pigment condition. It causes partial loss of coloration while leaving eye color normal — unlike albinism, which affects eyes as well. 
2. Leucistic birds are extremely rare. Most birds never display this condition, making sightings like this genuinely special.
3. Great Tits are normally very bold and colorful. Seeing one in such muted tones can be disorienting — like seeing a familiar face in black and white.
4. Leucistic individuals may face more challenges. Their pale color can make them more visible to predators and less recognizable to potential mates.
5. They remind us how much variation exists in nature. Even the most common species can still surprise us with rare and beautiful differences.

I suspect a flock of borbs snacking right there at my windows.
