Hey everyone,

Im a university student from Germany, living in Thessaloniki and I've been interested in the football culture here and its ultras here in Greece and looking for a team to support and specifically interested more for the clubs history and atmosphere.

I found 3 clubs on the city which are the biggest and are PAOK, Aris and Iraklis.

I've read that PAOK has the most fans and is the biggest club of the city and Aris the second being very dominant in the basketball, while Iraklis is a very old and historical club and recently after struggling financially rose back to the first division in both football and basketball?

I had also read that the strongest ultras and atmosphere from the fans in the city are mostly PAOK Gate 4 for the most fanatical support and Aris Super 3 for the most away fans in Athens in 2009 against Panathinaikos and their atmosphere in basket and heated rivalry between Aris and PAOK.

About Iraklis i found that they had the biggest Ultras in Greece called the Papafi Club with the most members and is the most suffered financially and bankrupted club in Greece, and now they have very few fans and not any good atmosphere and their fanbase is declining? I don't know if its true but I've seen recent videos of their atmosphere in the Ivanofeio stadium and in Kautazoglio after they were promoted to the first division and i was very impressed especially in the Ivanofeio stadium and they had a lot of fans and their Ultras now called Autonomi or Gate 10?
