Is it better to use Groot ult to force enemy support ult, or hold it until after they ult?

Title.

I often hold my ult until after their supports ult. Otherwise, soon as I ult, Invis/CD/etc pops ult and that's that. I also know that they are holding it for me, and I like forcing them to hold theirs for longer than they would like.

Of course, this also leads to me holding my ult longer than I'd like as well.

Forcing sups to ult early does give my sups the ult advantage, yes, but doesn't forcing them to hold their ult for me accomplish similar? They can't trade with my supports if they are holding for me.

Appreciate your take on which approach gets the most value.

groot mains i need your help

just need as much advice possible on everything groot. his playstyle, gameplay loop, what teamup to use, his hard counters, any button rebinds i should look out for (i play on console), high level competitive play i could watch etc etc

just to preface, i really do not play tank often in rivals. only very recently did i pick up rogue who is the first tank i bothered putting hours in, but if its anything, i was a GM tank in overwatch so i’m not completely and utterly clueless when it comes to the tank role in hero shooters.

i did try to pick him up when he got his CC immunity wall buff and i did feel quite overwhelmed managing his walls so it didn’t really go anywhere but now that i’m more accustomed to tanking in rivals and mechanically better than i used to be, i would love to give groot a real try as literally any other tank looks so so boring

(also does groot count as a shield tank)

Does Groot ult do more damage when you ult directly onto wall?

I noticed the enemy tends to explode more when I do this. The damage burst also just gives them less time to react.

Or am I making this up?

Any tips for a lord?

It sounds stupid for a lord to be asking for tips but don't judge me. I feel decent as groot but often really lacking when it comes to knowing what to do. When should I place my walls, when should I not even bother, and how do i do so without getting in the way of my teammates? I know i can learn this all by playing and getting better, which is what I've been doing, but there's no harm in asking for a bit of help.

Is Groot worth maining from Silver all the way to high ranks?

I came back to Marvel Rivals after almost a year and I’ve surprisingly been playing a lot of Groot. I’m currently Silver 1.
My teammates sometimes tell me to switch, but I feel like his walls create really good openings. When an enemy tank pushes too far, I place a wall behind them to block LOS from their supports, ping them, and my team usually focuses them down.
I also use walls to split teams, block healing, trap aggressive tanks/divers and control the objective. I even had a Devil Dinosaur type “annoying asf Groot” after I kept isolating him lol.
I barely see Groot compared to tanks like Magneto though, especially at higher ranks.

Is Groot worth grinding from Silver into Diamond/GM+? Does this wall/LOS playstyle stay strong against better players, or does it become much harder to get value?

What is the best use for Ironwood Wall?

I've been playing a lot of Groot recently and I've always wondered what is the best use for his Ironwood Wall. Do I use it to create a kill box by blocking off heals? To have it on hand to mitigate high damage? Or to anchor it down for the unstoppable buff + a little more health regen?

I reckon for comps with a lot of CC, using it as an anchor is probably the best decision so that you don't get pulled by Bucky/Wolv or pinned down by Emma but other than that, but I feel like that is pretty self explanatory/logical. What about dive or poke? What would the best use for the wall be in those cases?

What is the best use for it in general is what I'm pretty much trying to ask

What are some ideas for matching skins with rocket?

Been playing rocket and groot with my duo and I wish they had matching skins, it's one of the most iconic duos in marvel and I don't think they have matching skins like devil d and Jeff
