Defoliation hesitation

We went on vacation all last week, and when we came back my plant was like 30% taller and started flowering. Lots of bud sites and I'm excited. First thing I did was pull some of the lower fan leaves, tiny bud sites, and suckers, but I didn't want to over do it since I also did some super cropping (one of these days I'll plan ahead enough to try a scrog set up and not just default to super crop cuz it's cheap quick and easy). I ended up breaking one of the bigger top branches at its shoulder, and tried to tie it back together (couldn't find tomato tape, couldn't find twist ties, just went with string )

So, yea - just when I was saying I was going to stop pulling for the day because I didn't want to over stress her is when the break happened and I stressed her way more than planned. Luckily she seems to have handled it well and seems just as bushy as before. Which brings me to the reason for the post.

She's obviously got more leaves than we'll need in the end. And it's a sativa that likes to take it's sweet time, so I want to do a considerable amount of defol to get air flow and try to avoid mold through October. But I'm feeling very unsure about where and/or when to start defoliating. How heavy should each trimming be, vs how many to spread it out over. (Should I pull the fan leave from the bottom 3rd of the plants today, I feel like she's still using them?)

After 3 weeks of flower things are grooving

Doing a coco grow with general hydroponics trio feed in addition to liquid silica. This is my first full canopy after learning with smaller grows over the last year. Getting a second trellis net for this has been a huge boon for keeping all of the tops at closer heights to each other.

Im doing 4 plants of 4 different strains in a 4x3 tent. The light is 400W.

The short plant front right was a monster clone I’ve been experimenting with.

The strains are Purple Haze, Strawberry Kush, peanut butter breath, and Special Kush.

Thoughts on this?

2 weeks to go and several plants have these specks on the leaves and they fall onto the soil. Tricomes? They don’t move so I don’t think it’s an insect. And they don’t puff into the air like mold.

Complete defoliation in late flower?

Yo y'all, I see a lot of pics all over Reddit where some people have completely defoliated their plants in late flower. I'm curious what are the advantages, disadvantages of doing this over moderate defoliation?

Do you have any Idea what's wrong with her?

Hey! I'm currently a bit confused about this Lady

She had minor issues with yellow leaves and rust spots throughout the entire grow, but at first I chalked it up to normal nitrogen deficiency, especially since i thought it was growing normally, even though the stretch in the middle now looks suspiciously short.

I was away for a few days and came back to find her in this rather sad looking State (including quite some wilted leaves, which I've already removed).

I was already thinking about a pH lockout because I thought the rust spots were odd, and to be honest, I've always watered without drainage.
But since my other plant is watered with the same water and fertilizer and is generally much healthier, I'm a little confused, especially since I've never had any problems with it in previous grows.

I don't have a pH tester except for test strips, which are supposed to be rather inaccurate. They seem to be fluctuating between 6.5 and 7.5, which is perhaps a bit high for cannabis, making a lockout seem more likely.

I just lightly flushed them (simply poured a liter of water over them 3 times after the soil was already saturated) and then added a tiny bit of 2-2-2 bloom fertilizer, I don't know if that was a smart move.

Strain: Cherry Ocean

Age: 26 days after flip

Dünger: Biobizz Calmag, at first 0,6 ml, now 1ml -
15g granular tomato fertilizer (7-3-10 npk) while repotting
Since the flower showed, Biobizz Bloom 1ml at first, now 3ml

Light: 120W 30cm

Temp and humidity: ~ 30° C and 50% rh

Watering Schedule: Every 5 days, 3,5 Liters on 11 Liter plastic Pots

PH: PH with teststrips is hard to tell but ~ 6,5-7,5

What is that?

Picture #1 is one plant, Picture #2 is another, is it the same disease or something different?
It looks more like the white color is in the leaf, not like a powder on top.

Grateful for any advice! First time!

Hi, its my first time growing and i got this as a gift from a friend about a month ago as a small plant (last photo shows it a month ago 😄)
Its blue gelato from royal queen seeds and im growing outdoor. How do you guys think the plant is looking? When will it start flowering, or does it need extra love? I just water every two days and give it some really high nitrogen plant food. Grateful for any help, xx

Gelato summer progression…any thoughts?

First time super cropping & aggressively LST. Definitely need so do some more trimming before final push but happy with the results so far.

Outdoor grower with some questions

What is going on with my plants? I have had a few plants have some yellow spots like this and some with bottom branches that completely died off and have some plants with light green leafs

Hand trim vs Bowl trim

Both buds are from the same Pink Mist plant, harvested, dried, and cured all the same. The only difference is I hand-trimmed some and used my new bowl trimmer on some. What do you think—is it worth the extra work for the hand trim?

Time to Top?

Hello lads.

50/50 soil + perlite medium in 25 lt. pots. Transplanted them to their new homes a week ago.

Green Crack strain.

Can I start topping them? If so, do I cut the very top node or 1 below, as the top one isn't very developed?

Is it possible to harvest this?

I was given a weed plant a few months ago, and this is where it’s currently at. Can I still harvest this? I don’t really know what to do from here on out. I don’t expect much at all, but can I still at last cure and smoke this?

Balcony plant. How long until flower?

Also how is it looking? North hemisphere. It seems the flowering is stuck in the last days and don't see bug evolution. Is it healthy? I'm giving her flowering bloom supplement right now

Clear & amber trichomes … why isn’t she ready yet?

Wedding Cake Auto week 12 - partially outdoor, soil in fabric pots.
.. pls don’t mind the spidermite poop & hairs on the buds, I’ll clean them after harvest !

The plant was a little slower from the start, took much longer to get into flower than supposed and i had given her up at some point, but she turned out really nice (despite a little spidermite outbreak during the heatwave a week ago).

My issue is that she looks really ready to me, and can barely support the weight of her budds anymore (last pic) but her Trichomes seem to need more time: there’s already lots of amber and cloudy, but also lots of clear ones still … with other plants everything turned cloudy 1st, then the ambering started .. my thought was that because we had high temperatures until a few days ago, maybe she slowed her maturing a bit … but I have no idea how that would influence the harvest window.

Should I harvest now or give her more time?
There’s also the concern that it’s getting more rainy and windy rn and I fear that some branches might snap :/

Any help is appreciated !
