Well we are almost there lads just needs a final inspection, a bit more spot weathering, maybe more decals and then a final flat topcoat.

Presenting the RGM-96Xs-D Jesta Shezarr - Desert Type (Unit 08).

For context:

I entered this competition with a personal challenge: at least place in the top 3 using a budget friendly, 100% hand-painted build done entirely with markers. Since kicking this off at the end of February, it’s been three months of painstaking marker work, but this mofo is finally almost done.

To be honest, painting an ENTIRE kit with markers was brutal. If it weren't for the self-imposed challenge, I gladly would have taken the easy route with spray cans! But despite the struggle, there’s still something incredibly rewarding about hand-painting a kit from start to finish. Nearly there!

It’s insane how little bit of panel lining and gundam markers can do to make a kit pop. I love this design, it’s so well portioned and the colours, and dom head!

My skills as a builder still need work, but I have a deep hatred against spending light years sanding. Though I did get a god hand recently, and tested it on this project, so while there’s still numbs there’s less stress on the piece 🫡. It’s a old but good kit, I recommend, final product is such a beautiful piece

For once, I got lazy to pose it around as it feels flimsy to move around and missing parts for the Mega Launcher 🤦

Still happy with the outcome tho~

As much as I hated covering up the beautiful inner frame, I still love the final product and this is definitely my top 3 builds of all time. Would have been number 1 but some frustrations with certain pieces not having the best guidance on direction of attachment caused issues when I was trying to finalize assembly. Build experience, 3rd only to the PGU RX 78-2 and PGU RX 93 Nu Gundam.

My MG heavyarms. Learned a lot of new weather techniques using weathering powders and westhering pencilsl. I always used washes and dry brushing. But I always felt that it looked too "painted on" at times. But I love the the way these made this guy turn out

I re-edited the photos that I took originally of the blasted pulse with new lighting updates And white balance

Any tips on the second one to make it look like he’s throwing the boomerang?

Frame and weapons are painted and top coated. Currently working on finishing the armor.

One of my older builds and older photos but decided to try and re-edit it a little bit.
