Last year in August I had sex with a female sex worker vaginal with condom on. The condom stayed on the whole time. When I took it off I didn’t clean my self after and went home to shower. Later that week I developed 2 sores in my mouth after that I got stiff shoulders and derealization. 1 week later I developed diarrhea and I hadn’t gone away since August. I am always fatigued and have gotten weird skin issues. Dots and boils here and there for no reason. At first I also had dry mouth. All my symptoms that still persist are daily headaches, shoulder pains, weakness, tingly hands and legs that ache at times, balantis,I get dizzy out of no where. Please help! I am scared to test!

On 18/05/2026, I received unprotected blowjob and handjob at a massage parlor. There was no penetrative sex of any kind. The blowjob wasn't rough and mostly gentle. I didn't come from it. I don't have any cuts or sores on my penis. After that I got panicked and started PEP in form of Viropil within 3 hours of exposure. Additionally I took hepB vaccine too within 72 hours. I am continuing with my PEP

What are my chances of contracting HIV from such exposure

ONE MONTH IN It's been a little over a month since I was diagnosed with HIV and received my 1st lab results. Today I got my 2nd round of labs in and I'm HAPPY TO SAY IM UNDETECTABLE.

I just need to vent. I have to wait one more week before getting tested. I just want to get it over with!!! I'm tired of the anxiety. I could wait longer to reach the 45 day mark but I might lose it if I do that. The nurse said a month was ok to get tested so I'll follow her advice.

I'm relatively low risk though I upped my risk like an idiot because I didn't realize fluid sharing increased the risks. I wasn't thinking at all tbh. I'm a female, had unprotected sex multiple times w a new partner and ditched the condom bc I'm a dumbass. NEVER AGAIN. My god.

Since I'm female I know the risk is lower than if I wasn't, but the unknowing is freaking me out.

Ahhhh😔😔😔 my consolation is that I tested negative for gono and chlamydia 🫩

Exposure was in April 2024. It’s now May 2026 Since then I’ve done multiple HIV tests including 3rd generation testing, 4th generation testing, and even RNA PCR testing, and every single one came back negative.

Around January 2025 I started feeling extreme fatigue, which made me worried again. Because of that, I decided to start tracking my CD4 and CD8 counts over time.

One thing I noticed is that my CD4 percentage from Quest Labs has consistently gone down over multiple tests. It started around 39% in april 2024 then dropped to 37% in june 2025, then 36% in october 2025, and now 34% in may of 2026 That gradual decline has been causing me a lot of anxiety despite all of the negative HIV testing. The count has also declined from 1037 in june 2025, to 861 in october of 2025, to now 800 in may of 2026. My ratio has also decreased from 1.52 to 1.25.

At this point I either have a rare strain or hiv 2. Im in USA tho so its rare over here. But the gradual decline in my cd4 cells and percent and ratio is worrying. Also if ur in that old group chat I was in plz add me back.

6 months ago ..now have all symptons.. persistent oral thrush that won't go away with meds ..muscle twitches weak legs, rash on arm, extreme fatigue, loss of taste but tested negative mulitple times using 4th gen and Rna and Dna via quest....scared I have a rare variant since exposure was abroad ...and symptons are not going away

Nung signs cnabihan ko na mag pa check or mag test just to make sure pero ayaw niya hangang ngayun never niya cnabe sa mga check-ups tinago niya sakin .

I only had protected anal sex once, I don’t have any visible symptoms but if there is any small change in my body I don’t know why there is a sudden feeling that I may have this thing.

I took a test Wednesday and I have blocked the app notifications on my phone waiting for a doctor to call because I can NOT bring myself to open the app with test results. Im catastrophizing everything and I cant function while waiting this anxiety is eating me alive.

Long story short im 26F I have multiple high risk encounters before my partner :( and when I got std tested it never included a H** test which I found out recently and I have been with my partner for 3 years now, he is fully negative for everything and we have not had interaction at all after his negative results. I decided to get tested but he doesnt know and Im just waiting panicking and terrified to even check if the results have been posted. He is extremely stimagmatic when it comes to anything std related and he would tell everyone im not safe telling him what im going through and we have a trip soon and im just panicking about if my results are bad what do I do what do I even say he will be so taken aback by an abrupt decision. Ughhhh.. im just losing it :( I got tested wednesdsy and its sunday i havent heard anything im fully convinced monday once they get in office they will say smth bad i hate this anxiety so so much … :(

Il y a presque 4 ans, le 02/08/2022, j’ai eu une prise de risque très élevée concernant le VIH. Depuis cet événement, j’ai développé de nombreux symptômes qui me font penser au VIH :
Langue blanche persistante jusqu’à aujourd’hui
Fonte musculaire (fesses, bras, cuisses) avec accumulation de graisse abdominale et perte de volume du visage
Douleur à l’oreille gauche
Mycose persistante aux pieds
Fatigue permanente
Impression de rétrécissement des testicules
Depuis cette prise de risque, j’ai effectué énormément de tests :
78 tests VIH 4e génération
12 charges virales VIH-1
5 Western Blot
Plusieurs autotests achetés en pharmacie
Je vis à Paris, et mes derniers examens datent d’il y a un mois : une charge virale ARN VIH + un test 4e génération, tous les deux négatifs.
Pensez-vous qu’il soit possible que tous ces tests soient passés à côté d’une infection malgré la prise de risque et les symptômes que je présente ?

i got a rna viral load test done 39 days after exposure, it was negative.
i had a finger prick test done at 35 days, it was negative.
and i also had a 4th gen test done at 17 days after exposure and that negative.

im finding that im having night sweats, a aching throat, maybe enlarged lymph nodes? idek how to really check them? just body aches in general.

i dont know weather or not i can stop testing and just trust these results? or go for more testing? i was at my local free clinic for all these tests and the nurses seem to make it seem like i dont need anymore testing?
i’m not too sure. just looking for insight :(

Hi! I’m writing this because I’m having major anxiety. I was abroad clubbing and got cut with a knife/razor blade, it went through my pants and cut my thighs.
The wounds were pretty deep but I have no idea who and what it was. It was only after that my friend mentioned what if something might’ve been on it. This was a couple months ago and I’ve only now got the guts to book an appointment for testing. From what I could find the chances are low due to it cutting my pants first, but I’m still panicking. The environment and whole situation is probably what’s making me question this.

I had topped a gay on 29 april and my condom broke for about 5 to 7 seconds and that guy had one unprotected sex in april but he get tested on 2nd may and found negative and since then i have no hiv symptoms totally healthy so how to tackle this anxiety!
