Can I cover my living expenses in Hong Kong with a part-time job?

I'm an incoming international student at polyu. My scholarship covers full tuition and provides $36,000 per year for living expenses.

From what I've calculated, the first year seems manageable since I'll be staying in a student hall. My concern is the remaining three years, as I know rent in Hong Kong is very expensive.

For those who have been in a similar situation, is it realistic to finance the rest of my living expenses through part-time work? How difficult is it to find a job, how much do students typically earn, and were you able to cover rent and other expenses while studying?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What to expect?

Applied on 1 April. Intl from Bangladesh.

No interview. Nothing. Just complete silence.

Should I just assume I am rejected as I haven't received any interview invitation yet?

PolyU Sept Intake: Anyone doing a Master’s? :D

Hey guys!

I’m starting my Master’s in Finance at PolyU this September and want to meet some people before the semester kicks off. Thought it’d be fun to connect online first. I’m super down to explore HK together later, check out good food spots, or just study together lol.

Drop a comment or DM me here if you’re joining this intake for a masters too (Finance or any other major, doesn't matter). Let's connect! :DD

Guys I couldnt meet the scholarship conditions

What should I do now? My condition for scholarship was to get 1430 on Sat but I got 1370.

Is anyone know that if I can take sat in august and send my score then to get the scholarship? Is there any deadline for the scholarship requirement?

I am financially unable to attend without scholarship. Is there any other scholarship available? Or is it possible to get scholarship after year 1, if I get loan? (But I feel like it is very risky). What should I do now? Or should I just take gap and apply next year?

Undergraduate offer

Hello, does anybody know if PolyU is still giving out offers for the undergraduate programme? Around what period of time do they stop giving offer? Honestly, I have low hopes since I applied very late. Despite it though, I got an interview but in the application portal it still says “Application Submitted (Paid)“.

I applied in march to CUHK CityU and PolyUspeed and I still didnt hear anything back :( It’s already about to be July so I’m pretty anxious for results. Did anyone else receive offers?
