Found a new biryani spot in HSR

Found a new biryani spot in HSR

Shifted to hsr 3 months ago, tried multiple biryani spots here. but none of them impressed me. yesterday I was going through instagram and saw this reel from someone I know from office. she made a promotional video for the brand and packaging looked premium. So I tried it today for lunch. Apparently they are an app with the same "10 Minute" delivery claim.

Man! it tasted so good, I ordered one more for my room mate. only downside is the their paper bag is of little low quality but the food was next level.

they had a funny name though, it took me long time to search their app

Is HSR Layout becoming a hub for fake reviews?

Has anyone else noticed this in HSR Layout? Almost every service business salons, spas, restaurants, pet care, etc. seems to be absolutely pumped with 5-star reviews.
What makes it suspicious is that whenever there’s a bad review, I often see 10+ five-star reviews immediately following it. Some places have 1,000+ reviews, but when I actually read them, many feel very fake single word reviews.
It’s getting harder to trust Google reviews when choosing a local business.
Is it just HSR Layout, or is this happening across Bangalore as well? Would be interested to hear if others have noticed the same thing.

Looking for a co-host for weekend events in BLR

I am sri. 21F and I'm an ai engineer. And i want to make female friends like me. I like drinking, going out and meeting people, but I’ve noticed a lot of people are moving into their “clean girl era” 😂

I’m broke, so I was thinking… why not make some money while hosting fun weekend experiences? Starting small with low/no-upfront-cost things like meetups, pub crawls, games, themed events, etc., where people book tickets beforehand.

I’m pretty introverted and new to organizing stuff, so I’d love to find 1–2 people to co-host with me—ideally someone social, creative and equally chaotic 😂

Going with today's theme : Rat Sighted in Indian Coffee House (ICH), HSR Layout

As a Malayali who lives very close to this restaurant, this used to be my regular coffee-and-bite place. I was a frequent visitor and knew the place and the people there pretty well.

One evening, while having my coffee, I noticed some movement around the table where they kept the ketchup bottles. I looked again and… there was a rat sitting comfortably on top of the bottles. 🐀

For a moment, I genuinely thought I was hallucinating. Blinked. Looked again. Nope. The rat was still there, probably enjoying a better evening than me.

I called the servers and showed them. By then, the rat made a quick exit behind a pile of stuff. After a lot of hesitation, one guy finally tried to look for it and then, strangely enough, the conversation somehow turned into questioning me.

I also complained to the person at the cashier and sent emails to the contact addresses listed on their website. Absolutely useless.

I completely understand that restaurants can have a rat problem. It's unpleasant, but I know these things can happen. What really annoyed me was how they handled a customer's genuine concern; instead of taking it seriously, they practically made me feel like I was the problem.

That was my last coffee there. ☕💀

The Revolution Will Be Documented

What does a protest look like at 2am? Not speeches. Dosas being handed out by strangers. Graffiti covering every wall. People dancing to a Bluetooth speaker like the fear didn't exist, right alongside the fear itself. I followed this across Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi over two months, and wrote it all down just in time for our 80th Independence Day. Read it when you get a moment, I'd really love to know what you think.

Our first pregnancy, need guidance on doctors, processes etc(stay in HSR layout)

Hi All,

Me and my wife currently stay in HSR layout and we just got to know that my wife is pregnant, we want to understand if there are any gynaecologist recommendations(with first hand experience)? and also any general advice around when to switch to hospital chains like cloudnine, motherhood etc?

Q1: Any recommendations for gynaecologist in/around HSR layout?

Q2: Based on what I read on other threads, we should start with general gynaecologist clinics and then switch to big hospitals after 1st trimester, does that make sense? Do some of these doctors have tie-ups in hospitals like cloudnine, motherhood etc?

Q3: Any general advice? blogs to follow? books to read? since this is our first pregnancy, we are a bit nervous and want to get everything done correctly! 😄

Anyone need a dog sitter? we miss having a dog around 🐾

We lost our pup 2 years ago and still haven't been able to bring ourselves to adopt again — but we desperately miss having dog energy in the house. So instead, we'd love to look after yours while you travel!

What we're offering:

  • A 2BHK with a terrace - plenty of room for zoomies, sniffing, and sunbathing
  • Very cool doggo toy collection to keep them entertained (includes toys from abroad :D)
  • Expert-level protection from the notorious Bichhoo and Eagle gangs of HSR (we take this very seriously)
  • Chicken, cuddles, and probably way too many photos sent to you daily

Drop a comment or DM if you're headed out of town and need someone your pup can trust and have fun with!

Places in HSR which serve normal sambhar and not payasam

Lately , many places, the sambhar is becoming sweeter day by day. The sambhar in Vishnu grand and Namste is equal to payasam sweetness.. So far the sambhar in Asha tiffins is bearable to me. Any other places you can recommend

Random Vehicle Seizing

Recently I went to star supermarket and seems that vehicle seizing (2 wheeler) is happening at an unprecedented rate (Even for vehicles parked far beyond platform near the store) - probably store employees . Most seized vehicles are dropped at BDA complex. Atleast 200 vehicles should be there by my guess.

Note: Most roads don't have clear parking or no parking signs.

Fresh cow/buffalo milk vs packaged milk in HSR — what are you guys using?

Hey guys,

I’ve been having Nandini GoodLife UHT Toned Milk at night and sometimes in coffee. I’ve also tried Akshayakalpa cow milk, and honestly, I liked Akshayakalpa better out of the two.

Back in my hometown, I was used to getting milk from a guy who delivered it to our home. After moving here, I realised that finding good, reliable fresh milk isn’t that straightforward. I’ve also heard that the quality of feed and how the cows are taken care of can vary quite a bit from farm to farm, so I thought it might be better to stick with some reputed brands.

I’d heard good things about Akshayakalpa and their model from someone who knows the business, so I gave it a try and have been pretty happy with it.

I only use around 500 ml a week, since I have milk maybe 4 times a week. The place I used to get fresh milk from now only has a 2-day shelf life, which doesn’t really work for me.

So I ended up trying the Nandini GoodLife UHT tetra pack partly because of the shelf life, but also just to try something different. 😄

A while back I saw a Reddit post mentioning a few places in Whitefield and Marathahalli where you can get fresh milk every morning at a particular time.

Does anyone know if there are similar places in HSR?

Also curious what you guys are doing — do you get fresh milk from local shops, or do you just stick to packaged milk? If packaged, which brand do you prefer and why?

Would love to hear some recommendations/experiences, especially from people around HSR. :
