Question

Is this the old snark sub or is this a separate sub? what happened to the old one if its not? There was a “ha sisters snark” sub i remember I think was it taken down or was the name changed to ha sisters only

Ops on recent podcast

honestly, in my opinion, I actually really enjoyed this episode to be honest. Although some of the comments read out we’re just plain unnecessarily rude and not even constructive criticism just coming for their personality. Evelyn and Emily don’t really seem to care about hate comments and I love that for them. It doesn’t really seem to get under thier skin which I think is so important in their career because there will always be people hating for no reason, especially like Evelyn because she’s such a easy target because I feel like people perceive her as an air head who has no common sense. ( sometimes I feel like she forces the narrative but anyways.) I think Emily got into NYU was a great achievement and it shouldn’t be overshadowed just because her doing YouTube , although it may have been a big part as to y she got in like Erica did YouTube and she still didn’t get into NYU so Emily obviously got in for a reason.

Erica seems to care more about the hate comments but she act like she doesn’t doesn’t really matter and I relate a lot to Erica cause I feel like I I would react to hate comments andeveryone getting angry about her going out like I don’t really see that big deal like she’s 22 and she’s a young adult living in New York City. Why would she not go out like people come for her wayyyy too much i come from Europe and the drinking culture is so much more different than in America like there are 16-year-olds who go out every weekend here … give her break guys I mean I was not saying she should be getting drunk every night but she’s a grown adults. She’s allowed to have fun and I think she should go back to college because social media isn’t always guaranteed but that’s her own decision.

My thoughts on the podcast epit-sode about haters

This was probably the funniest episode because I'm so honored to be featured(not once but twice!) in this epit-sode. Also clarifying my comment about emily, I was saying she could be so much bigger as an influencer if she actually gave a fuck, she gets free views anyways might as well do something abt it, but I def notice the work she's been putting in all she needs to work on is her youtube channel. The podcast is genuinely balesh on roids so I had to skip half of it but other than that it was kinda funny.

Ngl, I'm honestly happy I get to hate on them just as much as I love to watch them, they just give me so much fucking ammo every single video and it's like yep, clocked you buddy. It's a good break of mindless content every once in a while. Also I'm glad they actually read it because the amount of glaze these girls is insane and a good slap to the face is productive every once and a while. But ngl I feel like we as a subreddit should draw the line at super personal topics or appearance, it's rude and we shouldn't put the girlies down like that.

Also I rmr I was so gagged seeing the NYU waitlist post (does anyone have the link? I can't find it anymore) but ngl if you followed her for years you could easily put it together

My thoughts on the recent podcast episode

Honestly, I really enjoyed this episode. I love how Evelyn and Emily seem to be the type of people who can just move on from hate comments instead of letting them get to them. Emily accepting the hate comments she was reading and actually reacting positively to them was genuinely so fun to watch, and Evelyn was the same. I especially love that Evelyn doesn’t seem to care much about people commenting on her looks or trying to get a reaction out of her. I also don’t really understand why people feel the need to comment on her relationship status or say that she can’t be single for a while. Even if she wants to be in a relationship, that’s completely her choice. At that point, it just feels like hating for the sake of hating and getting involved in someone’s personal life.

I do think Evelyn gets more hate than the others because, honestly, she seems like an easier target but what I love most is that she genuinely doesn’t let it affect her. Emily seems similar in that way, which is probably why I enjoyed their reactions so much. Erica, on the other hand, clearly has a different personality. She seems more defensive and takes certain comments more seriously, and honestly, that’s fine too. Everyone handles criticism differently. I just really enjoyed seeing all three of their different personalities and reactions in this episode. It was actually such a fun watch.

Buying so much useless stuff

Every single camping/glamping video they’ve done they keep on rebuying the same materials they need and same useless ass things that they don’t even know hot use. Like the amount off overconsumption and waste is horrible. Do they just bin everything once they finish a video? Why do they need to buy the same things again and again for similar video concepts

The LA plan

So Emily is going to NYU so she obviously can’t move and Emily’s boyfriend just started his dentistry school so now they don’t have to do long distance anymore…so do you think Evelyn will still go ahead and move to LA by herself because they have their podcast and the hasisters channel together.. so?

Here's why I think Evelyn's latest vlog with Emily is crucial for their brand

One thing I've noticed is how much of a drag sometimes the content can be due to attitudes, and a thing I've wondered is if you can pinpoint it on the the fact that they make their content super "high octane" and something that is digestable to younger viewers. But this latest vlog on Evelyn's personal channel, it was calm, no music, no screaming, no arguing, just a cute, classy, and mature vlog.

I'll admit I've been a little biased by saying how Erica puts an a lot more effort into their vlogs, but this vlog changes my opinion a bit. If emily and evelyn feel more comfortable with this style of vlogging, it can really shift them into being able to do content for an audience that has aged with them. They don't have to make content for a child or silly challenges all the time, but also start to flaunt their lifestyle and do more mature and cool things simultaneous to their normal style of videos. On top of this, I could really see them being taken more seriously and actually re-enter a 2nd prime that so many Youtubers have done. Right now, they're experiencing that blip in views they get during the summer, but maybe this new angle and their new clothing brand could be a new direction for longevity. Would love to hear what you guys thought about the vlog!

Tired

Why is every video of them now complaining about what they have to do for the video???? Like honestly if they don't want to do a certain video idea then just don't, since the camping video all they do is complaint non stop about not wanting to do this or that or saying things like "why did we decided to do this?" "I don't want to do this" it's just ironic, like in today's video why is Erica complaining so much, it's so tiring as a viewer to see that.

Emily, college?

Do you guys think emily should go to college? I just feel like she should take advantage of the opportunities infront of her (brand deals, youtube, etc) as college is ALWAYS gonna be there. What do you think?

evelyn is not dumb

i don't know what it is with tiktok and this subreddit constantly calling evelyn dumb and a bimbo, she's not. she might have some issues with enunciating her words and with vocabulary, but to build a youtube channel this large, constantly profit large amounts off of it and live the life that she lives, she's gotta be pretty smart.

so many youtubers blow up and fall off of the face of the earth because they don't know how to keep themselves relevant. clearly she knew what she was doing even when she didn't have a team at the start because she's been relevant for many years now.

not saying she can't be a bit annoying at times, but don't belittle her based off of what you see one camera is what i'm saying

Nature is healing and so is Evelyn - recovering from bland basics

She’s wearing color again and bringing back statement pieces after dressing to tech bro culture where everything stays monochrome lol. Cheers to the demise of “quiet luxury” cause this bag looks insanely good on her.

reasons why the ha sisters are losing their original fan base

i just want to start this off by saying that I was the biggest catcake in 2020-2023 and to this day i do try to attempt to watch their latest videos and keep up with their social media. however, the past few months ive genuinely struggled to enjoy their new content, despite the fact that its been consistent. this struggle has been shared with many other original catcakes.

my reasons are not the actual truth but observations ive made from this subreddit and on social media.

1. evelyn doesn’t edit their videos anymore
i have made a post about this before because i found the new editor lowkey irritating with the several cuts, memes and replays.

i and many other catcakes, loved evelyns editing style because it felt so simple but also so funny. i miss the background music she used to put from imovie as well. i understand that evelyn probably doesnt have the time anymore to edit the videos but her editing is what helped their channel garner so many fans (in my opinion anyway)

2. the long form videos
linking back to my first reason, the reason that evelyn probably doesnt edit the videos anymore is because they seem to be pushing out long videos that are 50 minutes or longer.

i dont even have a short attention span, but in most of their long form videos they just keep in parts that are just boring or unnecessary.

you can literally see that most of their videos thats only 20-30 minutes long have the most views because those videos cut out the unnecessary bits of silence and kept in the parts that were necessary. those videos were acc entertaining.

do the longer videos give them more ad revenue?

3. a huge change in personality
of course everyone grows and i cant expect them to be the same people that they were 3 or 4 years ago. however, loads of people are noticing how all three sisters have became entitled and “bratty”.

i am biased towards evelyn because i love her solo content but she does keep pretending how shes slow or like an “airhead” when she really isnt that stupid.

erica has been criticised alot especially in this subreddit because she was many peoples favourite sister due to her intelligence and of how respectful she is. lately, people view her as entitled and uneducated because she consistently talks about going out and drinking.

similarly, emily is getting alot of backlash for being entitled and lacking no energy in any of the videos. according to their youtube comments, she doesnt seem grateful for her platform and filming at all, leaving viewers to comment on her “bratty” attitude. I feel like her attitude has became like this because of how they want to post long form content. Filming multiple one hour long videos weekly and a podcast, school and travelling from nj to nyc has just exhausted her.

4. difficult to relate to them
i think many of us og catcakes loved the ha sisters because they were easy to relate to. they were just three sisters in quarantine vlogging their lives.

after covid, people could relate to emilys vlogs in highschool, erica in college or evelyn moving out of the house. but now the socioeconomic gap between them and their viewers makes it hard for us to relate to them at all. it also gives a glimpse into how out of touch they are, which many people comment on in this sub reddit and their youtube comments.

conclusion
sorry this post is very longwinded but it has been on my mind for a while so i decided to type this out in my notes in the middle of the night. i hope people agree w some of my observations and even argue against some of my reasons too! i will still continue to watch their old content with the hopes that their new content will change soon
