(33F) Have kinda given up on myself

Hi! Looking for as much hard and soft advice as I can get.

I’ve kind of given up on myself for a few years now, and I would really like to gain confidence and get out of my slump. My self-esteem for my looks is really rock bottom at the moment, but I want to be better. I am hyper aware of my flaws, asymmetry, and so on, haha.

Photos are mascara only, so basically bare.

About me:
5’1, 128lbs
Currently run every day and lost about 30lbs a year or two ago, but would like to lose a bit more.
Vegetarian, if that affects anything. Not too attached to it if other diets might help me.

Currently using Tret for about a year, switched to Altreno .05 about a month ago. My skin still peels quite a bit after all this time on Tret, so I don’t wear makeup much. Currently have highly moisturizing skincare routine in the morning. Without Tret, my skin is super oily and acne-prone. It looked much worse before if you can believe it, haha.

Eyebrows were microbladed about 2 years ago, mostly faded.

Hair is my natural color, very open to changing it, currently long, straight, boring and also oily.
I have a cowlick in the front, so after using dry shampoo on the roots and a hair oil I pull it back most days.

Really appreciate any ideas or suggestions anyone has.

Thank you!

Is it possible to gain weight on my body and lose weight in the face

I know this sounds contradictory but I’m 95 lbs (5’4ft) and I’d like to be 115-120 lbs by the end of year. My problem is that despite how skinny I am, my face is very round and chubby. Can I gain weight and lose it in specific areas?

27F how can I look better

How do I improve my appearance, I feel that when I go out strangers often make fun of how I look and I’m also curious on why i always never receive compliments. I wonder how people perceive my current look right now and honestly I just want advice to help me improve without being too harsh and also no sugarcoating please.

29 yo - how to improve ?

hey ! it’s me without makeup or everything. I already do lip fillers once a year and I had a blepharoplasty and fat transfer to my upperlids 2 months ago (we still see the scares).

despite all of it I still feel ugly. idk I don’t look healthy.

what I do : strength training 4x week; healthy one ingredients diet, basic skincare, basic hygiene (shower, shaving, perfect oral hygiene, hair always clean), nails (I do my own gel X). I struggle with my no sugar energy drinks consumption (1 per day sometimes 2) and stress, anxiety.

I want to improve but without makeup. just myself. even hardmaxxing options, but I rather have softmaxxing tips :)

18F Is a nose job worth it for the results that I want?

I’ve always been back and forth on my nose but the more I see it in candid photos the more I dislike it. I personally think it’s pretty bulbous and don‘t like the way my nostrils stretch so much and my nose tip droops when smiling or moving my face… I‘m very insecure of that and try to squish in my nostrils with whatever muscle is there whenever I smile but my friends think it looks ridiculous and it kind of does, but I hate my nose looking wide. Photos 7-9 are candids, pretty rough imo. 9 is me smiling (weirdly and not as wide as usual, another candid sorry lol but it gives you the idea of what I think looks weird) without squishing my nose in. I feel like it looks pretty wide. 😭 Anddd the last two are the nose I have vs the nose I want. Only issue is, I’m not sure if I want to go the full nose job route as surgery looks pretty scary and I’m cautious of complications. So I’m wondering if it would be worth it!

Other advice for anything else is very welcome! I’m currently working on my skin and maybe trying to find bangs that can cover the forehead and still look good lol. And I accidentally over-shaved my brows in like half of these pics, I’m definitely letting them grown out, the drawn on parts will not be staying haha.

Please be super honest! I won’t ever get offended if you’re helping me out. 💗

EDIT: I’m sorry if my views on my nose seem a little extreme. I know it doesn’t look awful of course but I’m still quite insecure over it and am just wondering if surgery is worth it for what I want to address or if I’m being a little ridiculous over it. I personally don’t like it on my face but I know other people have other perspectives so yeah I‘m kind of hoping that maybe I have it wrong and it’s not as bad as I think?? 😭 And regardless I’m still looking for advice in general.

any advice?

i just want to know if there are any better tips for my brows, eye area and possible ways to help with the length of my midface/philtrum. i know thats one of the mains area i’d like the most help with. i already try fake freckles to minimize the appearance but im not sure if theres anything else. also i have been using the ordinary lash and brow serum for a bit and it definitely is working but very slowly. also i am going on accutane soon but i’m not sure if that’d help my nose at all lol

18f any advice welcomed

I honestly feel very unfeminine and way to masculine looking because of my long face, and I am open to anything that can help me fix that. All of these photos were taken with the back camera.

19F Any tips to look better

I've been working on maintaining my weightloss, im currently 5'4 121-124lbs, i used to be 140. I'm open to both soft and hard advice.

any hope for my sunken eyes?

First photo is no makeup and the second one is with a light concealer (not baked),that definitely doesn’t do a good enough job lol.

At first i thought it was just genetics, but now that i’m looking back at pictures from what 5+ yrs ago i realized they weren’t THIS bad.

I genuinely look sleep deprived constantly even if i sleep 12+ hours some days :(

I think that this is more of a life style problem,i smoke daily, hydration isn’t the best and my diet is very wonky.

Be brutal

Hey guys first time poster long time lurker here. I just ended a relationship with my boyfriend of six years and I want to change up my look.

I have hundreds of thousands of dollars saved up (planning to spend it on surgeries and procedures) and I want you to be extremely honest with some of the things that I should do, including but not limited to

  1. surgeries or procedures to enhance my base look
  2. changes to my makeup look / my hair
  3. general style

Just anything that you notice or have tips on would be greatly appreciated.

Pics 1-3 no makeup
Pics 4-6 makeup
Pic 7-8 body

NOTE: please be 100% honest and don’t hold back. I’m already really confident in myself so everything that you say will just be taken as advice and I won’t be offended.

In fact if you just tell me everything‘s fine it will just be a waste of your time. I’m not here for an ego boost but to make genuine improvements. please just give me tips on what I can improve. Thanks!

Hygiene/beauty questions, please help me clarify these.

There are a few hygiene/beauty things I've just never gotten my head around because I've heard so much conflicting information. I'm curious what the consensus for these would be and why? Thanks :) So here are my questions:

  1. Is it more bacterial eliminating to airdry clothes (especially in the sun, for the UV) or to use a well-maintained dryer on a hot setting?

  2. Should I use a loofa? I liked scrubbing my skin with it because I felt like it increased circulation, and my mom said it prevents varicose veins and I've noticed I never have had those or developed any stretch marks. However, I do have bumpy upper arms and my dermatologist said it's from using a scrubber/loofa.

  3. Is lotion good or not? I am trying to be super hydrated throughout the day, and I also wear sunscreen everyday. However, I don't wear any lotion on my arms, legs, and body. They get sunscreen if they're exposed though. Am I drying my skin out? I get afraid of clogging my pores and I also wonder if it's really necessary if I'm not having super dry skin? Long term will this help me age better?

  4. Should you change socks everyday or can you reuse them for more than one day?

  5. How often are you supposed to clean (like wash?) your shoes? How do you clean the inside so they aren't stinky?

How to track calories?

Has anyone had success with a free calorie-tracking app?

My biggest struggle is tracking meals that I cook myself. 95% of the time I make dinner from scratch and use a bunch of different ingredients, I never know how to log it accurately. Most of these foods are ethnic too so they don’t appear on the app itself, or if they do there’s so much variance between how people make it. There are usually so many ingredients involved, and I often don’t know the exact portions of everything I used or the portion i’m eating.

Dinner is also my largest meal of the day, so being unable to track it makes calorie counting feel pretty pointless. I’ve tried several popular apps, but I always end up getting frustrated when it comes to logging homemade dinners and eventually give up.

How do you handle tracking meals you cook yourself? Are there any free apps or methods that make this easier?
