Edc vs headtrip? The math is not mathing

Kind of glad I held off on buying headtrip tickets. When the festival was first announced it seemed like something new and exciting, but I was hesitant to buy with a gut feeling that something else would come up. Low and behold Edc announced their dusk til dawn. When you compare the values it’s astronomical in differences that you get. Headtrip released with an initial price of $400 and is currently $500 for a 2 day festival with 2 stages 15 artist total. Edc is priced at $400 for a 3 day and $600 for 6 days, 8+ stages, over 200+ artist, with a high possibility of having all 15 artist headtrip has at EDC. I get headtrip is being promoted as a curated festival with intentionally smaller acts and longer sets,no set conflicts(which is really nice), but when you look at it on paper the comparison is wild. Are you doing edc dusk til dawn both weekends? See you under the electric sky!

(REDDIT DISCLAMIER I AM NOT TRYING TO BUY OR SELL TICKETS. THIS IS PURELY FOR DISCUSSION)

driving up from LA Saturday morning?

Hi! My friend is landing in LA Friday evening and I’m wondering what the best move is here- should we spend the night in LA and drive on Saturday, or is it worth arriving Friday ?

Thanks :)

Experienced coachella goers

What's the hack on hotels and shuttle stops. Is anyone familiar with either these stops, which are more or less busy and any recommendations for hotel accommodations. Never been to Indio festival and hoping for those who are experts if you could share any tips or tricks when looking for accommodations and transportation.

these are the listed stops for head trip:

Courtyard & Residence Inn Palm Desert Hampton Inn & Suites Indio Hampton Inn Palm Desert Homewood Suites Palm Desert JW Marriott Desert Springs La Quinta Resort & Club Marriott Desert Springs Villas II Omni Rancho Las Palmas Palm Springs Convention Center * Westin Rancho Mirage

Cheers.

Going solo and looking to fill a hotel room (with other girls)!

Helloo! I’m in my early 30s/F going solo and have a two-bedroom suite that fits 6 people I’m looking to fill (with other girlies)! It has a king bed, 2 twin beds, a sofa bed, 2 bathrooms, and a full kitchen.

It’d be $200 each and is in Palm Springs, which is about an hour each way on the shuttle, which I plan on taking (I stayed in PS and took the shuttle from there for Coachella too...it's far but not too bad!) So this would require the shuttle pass in addition to your ticket, unless you have your own transportation plans of course.

If this sounds cool with you and you're interested, lmk! I can tell you more about it and we can exchange IGs. I did this and coordinated a place for 6 girls for Coachella and we were all solo and it was really fun, so hoping to do the same for this fest too :)

What to expect?

I'm an extremely experienced camping festival goer from the Midwest, but don't really know how this all goes down. We have our hotels and everything already booked

How late does music go? Should we expect an afters environment within the town? We're staying at a hotel nearby but not one serviced by the shuttles, I've seen people say that traffic is going to be so bad that getting shuttle passes is a good idea just to get out of there and get to your car. I know that this being the first time means that noone really knows how it's going to shake out, but I'd love any input.

Parking

Hey, a few buddies and I are taking the trip and we’re staying at an AirBnB and gonna drive over to get parking for both days.

I was simply wondering just what to expect in terms of traffic, paying, and anything else that may be useful so we don’t look like morons and come unprepared. Any info is helpful, thank you!

Room available 10 minutes from festival

Hi! I am renting a large master bedroom in Indio with a king bed, private entrance, and private bathroom. The room also includes a mini fridge and microwave. Guests have access to the backyard pool, and there is space for an air mattress if needed. DM me for more info if interested 😊
