First, our lore.

After witnessing many Automaton broadcasts, the battle on Cyberstan, and the Automaton cyber attack that exposed the truth of Super Earth and its enemies, multiple Helldivers and their Super Destroyer crews went to the Automaton front, but not to fight. They went to join the enemy before Super Earth caught wind of their plans.

Once they arrived and communicated with the Automatons, the Automatons decided there was a better purpose for this large group of Helldivers. Instead of having them join the Cyborgs, they were given a mission: hide among other Helldivers and do the Automatons' bidding on the Illuminate and Terminid fronts. This way, the Automatons can command operations on their territories without facing a direct war with the other factions, securing their safety after Super Earth is no more and the other factions decide it may be their turn.

Now, these Helldivers are known as the Cyberdivers. They hide among other Helldivers in plain sight, doing the Automatons' bidding on assigned planets. This means they cannot kill any SEAF or Helldiver forces. They mostly dress and act like normal Helldivers, pretend to be loyal to Super Earth, and listen to their propaganda broadcasts like usual.

Their orders -- which they call Automaton Orders -- usually include attacking planets that are closest to the Automaton front, or joining Major Orders given by Super Earth's High Command that would severely weaken the Illuminate or Terminids. They may choose to either follow or ignore Major Orders depending on whether or not it could aid in their goal.

Any new members after this are carefully evaluated throughout a long process before being fully let into the network.

Automaton Orders are given when the top command drops onto an available Automaton-controlled planet. Under the lie that they are fighting on it, they instead receive new orders.

The Cyberdivers make themselves recognizable for each other by using the following variety of capes and/or player cards

- Mark of the Crimson Fang
