Really good ending
I enjoyed the manga immensely, although i am a slightly new maga collector with 450 volumes somewhat. I think hells paradise could definitely complete for my favorite manga.

So basically Senta fell in love with Yuzuriha and ended up on death’s door trying to protect her. Mind you, he had absolutely ZERO obligation to do that. She was literally a condemned criminal charged with things like false testimony and extortion, and he was just her monitor/captor.
But despite all that, he still risked his life for her multiple times.
Then when Senta is dying from overexerting himself in battle, Yuzuriha has medicine that could potentially save him… and she refuses to use it on him. Instead she gives it to another guy because he was stronger and therefore “more useful” to keep alive.
And yes, before people defend her:
- she could’ve split the dose
- she could’ve revealed the enemy’s weak point herself earlier
- she could’ve participated more directly in the fight
- or at least tried harder to save Senta
But she didn’t.
Instead she basically let Senta overextend himself because him dying actually benefited her situation. Let’s be real: she wanted her captor off the board. Even the V.O. delivery has this little smug tone when she explains that revealing the weakness exhausted him and that he “doesn’t have much time left.” It genuinely felt like she made a cold tactical decision to let him die.
And what makes it worse is that she even kept some medicine for herself “in case she might need it later.”
That’s why I can’t see her as “best girl” no matter how hot or charismatic she is. She’s entertaining and well-written, sure, but morally she’s selfish as hell. She honestly feels like a realistic manipulative shinobi/sociopath type character someone who uses charm and fake friendliness to position people for survival on that island.
It’s also kinda crazy that Sagiri barely objects, but I guess by that point she was exhausted and probably knew she couldn’t force Yuzuriha to hand over the salve anyway.
Senta died protecting someone who likely would never sacrifice herself for him in return.
For me the whole thing was basically:
Never sacrifice yourself for someone who wouldn’t even inconvenience themselves for you especially if you’re blinded by love.
I just finished the episode where they die... And well... I guess the humanization worked. I actually feel sorry for them, they were forced into that world and they had to adapt to keep together (this doesn't justify, of course). Tao fa's ""Innocence"" captivated me and Ju fa's protectiveness warmed my heart. At the end of the day they are monsters, but I like them a bit more now
Hey cultured people!
