Will I miss anything major by skipping fights ?

I have started watching hell's paradise a week ago and I am currently at the season 2 during the palace infiltration arc and I am kind of getting bored of watching the character arcs and fights of the other characters besides Gabimaru. He is the reason I have started watching this anime and I really enjoy his fights but the other characters seem just lame and bland, I get bored so quickly watching them. Will I miss any major plot points by skipping fights which do not involve Gabimaru ?
