What I thought about Hereditary

(Please excuse my poor English)

First of all, when I first time watched it i really do confuse about what happened here. Until, I watched some youtuber explanation and realize I should've known about "devil thing(?)" like Paimon, something I never learn. Sure there's a lot to discuss here or maybe more symbolic that i don't know.

But, here what I thought haunted me from hereditary. It was, when you know there's possibility that your life, never actually yours. Specifically, Annie's life. It's like, whatever happens in this film actually planned something to her life. She's just a tool to grant the cult wish.

I sincerely love Queen Leigh's marriage to Paimon photos

I haven't seen the film in several years, but I just watched Novum's complete guide and I was reminded that the pictures of Ellen and the cult in the marriage ceremony seem so genuine to me. Look at her, she's having the time of her life. She and her fellow members 100% believe her devotion and practices will pay off, and there is just so much joy in these two photos.

Why do people keep comparing Obsession to Hereditary?

Obsession is the best horror movie of all time. The writing, acting, directing, cinematography, music, details, everything is unparalleled. Hereditary was a stupid movie that rehashed the same cult story as 100 others and did it with really boring writing and poor acting. Why do I keep seeing posts saying stuff like “Omg after I saw Hereditary I never thought I’d react so emotionally to another movie, but Obsession was just as good”. There’s no contest…and also no similarities lol

Peter’s Progeny?

It’s always fun to speculate about this film. What do you think? Will Peter marry/reproduce? Since family bloodlines are at the heart of the film, it would make sense the line would continue. I was thinking that there might’ve been some reason that Aster chose the name Bridget for the girl Peter fancied. BRIDget/Bride? In fact, in some Celtic areas, Bride is an alternative spelling for Bridget.

Finally watched it

Almost a decade ago, I walked in on someone watching Hereditary and caught a glimpse of >!Annie levitating to the treehouse.!< It was so unsettling that I hyped this movie up in my brain as the scariest thing ever made. It stayed off my watch list because I didn't want to traumatize myself the way the dancing boy in Insidious did 15 years ago. (It still terrifies me today)

I finally watched it, and it’s not as bad as I thought it’d be. Don’t get me wrong, I was on the edge of my seat, but I don't think need the lights on to sleep tonight. If anything, I'm losing sleep over the cool details.

But for some reason, I’m not disappointed at all. If anyone's seen Andor, the Aldhani Heist made me feel like I held my breath for 40 minutes. That's what this movie felt like to me, it tickled every single spooky bone in my body without relying on a single cheap jumpscare. I love it so much.

Anyone know what the name of this artwork is?

I've tried using Google lens, and just looking it up, but I couldn't find anything at all.
