I received the a fifth batch silver HiChord on Friday but only about 5 of the sound presets work. Is anyone else having this issue ?

Wondering if there has ever been a discussion about adding a quantize feature to the looper. Searched the manual but couldn’t find anything regarding quantizing.

Just received my HiChord and am having fun learning it!

My friend ordered a HiChord for me in November of last year and it’s still not here I just wanted to know if this is common of it taking so long to be delivered

Loving my hichord so far (as is my 9yr old son) but I have two questions-
1 - when using certain settings through the speaker , such as the sine wave, I get some nasty “clicking” at higher volumes (as the setting is itself quite quiet the volume does need to be up). The noise isn’t there through headphones just through the speaker. Anyone else get this?
2 - using the companion app and the “generate sample (a.i.)” - is this just supposed to find an existing sample that matches the description or does it try to create a specific sample based on the description? I tried the church organ example and it seemed to work and it sounded similar to an existing setting (can’t remember which one). Trying a more extravagant description results in a “generating” message the an error message debug displayed on the hichord which then goes to a “creating” message. Is it the app or the hichord (or both) that;s creating the error? I’ll get some more detailed repro steps when I can. I’m using chrome on a m1 MacBook Pro to connect.

WRT the clicking here are the sounds most obviously affected and the volume level when the clicking becomes most apparent.

Strings - 70
Poly 106 - 75
Flute- 80
Fm piano - 75 the overall sound (not the clicking) is very quiet even at 100
Clarinet - 80 a bit quiet, not as quiet as the fm piano though.
Wurlitzer- 50
Vox ahh - 28
Humming -42
Sine - 20 but the clicking tone at lower volumes is deeper
Fm wow -65
Robbo - 30

Clicking is typically at the end of the sound. The clicking only really seems apparent when playing through the speaker in the unit.

The stick on my batch 5 pocket synth seems to be way too sensitive to movement. It frequently reads a directional input when I try to press in to start or stop a loop. Support has been really slow to get back to me and recommended running a calibration by holding the gray and yellow buttons during startup, but this doesn't seem to work on the 2.8 firmware. Is anyone else experiencing this and if so, were you able to run the calibration?

I've had my HiChord for a couple days. I love it! I've mostly worked out the user interface —it definitely has some quirks but for the most part I think it does a superb job of having everything close at hand even with such a minimal set of buttons. But I've got some questions that are either not addressed in the manual or I don't know where to find them:

1. I keep accidentally activating the randomizer when I mean to start recording a new loop track. When I do accidentally activate it (mumble grumble), I usually just power cycle the HiChord to start over. (a) How do I avoid accidentally activating it, and (b) is there a more graceful way to “undo” if/when I do? (I promise I’ll be fine if the answer is just "get good at order of operations”.)
2. Is there any way to exit the looper screen? If the first note of a new loop needs to have the joystick held to the right or left, doing that causes the next or previous track to be selected in the looper. Maybe this is only a perceived problem, not an actual one; it has me worried I'm going to accidentally write over a different track, but it does seem to record to the track I selected before the cursor moved.
3. I keep having a whole track go missing when I stop everything in the mixer. Steps to reproduce: record four tracks, open the mixer, turn off two of the tracks by pressing two keys, stop the whole song by pressing in on the joystick, turn the same two tracks back on, start the song by pressing in on the joystick. Most of the time this works fine, but sometimes I just lose one of the tracks. (a) Is this a feature or a bug? If it's a feature, (b) what's it useful for and (c) how am I unwittingly triggering it (i.e. how can I avoid accidentally triggering it)?
4. Lastly, an aesthetic question: What are some good instruments and effects to use for bass guitar sounds?

Got my HiChord and I love it, Silver batch 5 running on 2.8 Beta.

HOWEVER, the Metronome Click in the Looper function will not stop clicking even after I've cycled through my loop, I've tried looking up options but to no avail. Maybe I am the noob?

Tomorrow I get my usbc Midi cable so I can really go awff 😛

Anyone else’s batch 5 shipment been stuck in limbo for a week or so beside me?

Hi guys, I’m excited to be getting my hichord in this week. I was wondering i see all these videos of people recording the audio off theres outdoors, how do i do that? Completely new to synths here 😅

Has anyone noticed that the batch 5 battery indicator seems to go up very slowly? I've left it plugged in for >1 hour and it's barely moved. Today after I unplugged mine it smelled like a fuse blew or something inside. Not sure if there's an issue with mine in particular :(

edit: just realized the charging light doesn't turn on anymore, hopefully that's all that broke and it still charges
