Feature Request

First off - i have had the HiChord for a couple of weeks and love it. They have packed so much into a neat looking device - its a pleasure to use. Its great. Ive had a few of these devices - Kordbot, Chordcat etc and this one feels the most natural to use (which is weird as its got a joystick lol)......Anyhow i do have one feature request which i feel would be massive and none of the other devices i think have it.......Ive already dropped a message to the dev about this but would be interested in what you guys think -

Scale to Chord mode

The idea is taking a saved chord further. So the chord isnt just pressed and played as one clunky chord (or with a generic strum)

In practice

Say you have 3 or 4 locked/saved chords (eg you held a chord and the yellow button so its locked). The idea is then activating a new mode (scale to chord). The first saved chord - the notes of that chord would be auto mapped to the 7 keys (or less depending on chord size). Bass note on C, root note on the next key. Only the notes of that chord would be available on the 7 keys.

So essentially you are free to play this chord in the most expressive way. Maybe hitting the bass then the root and then 2 or 3 other keys with slight offsets.........Instead of just pressing a key and getting one big clump of a chord and thats it.

Joystick - then press the joystick to the right and get chord 2 (that was previously locked)......Chord 2 would have all its keys mapped the same way as chord 1...etc etc

This could be taken further with individual velocity for each note in that chord....

The idea is just having the notes of each chord mapped to the keys on the device and making use of the joystick to natigate to the next chord by hitting the right direction and getting the 2nd chord etc.......Then exiting out of this mode at any time, back into single button chord pushes.........I think having the ability to play chords in the most expressive way would really be a massive bonus for this machine.

2.9 wish list

Quantize for drums

<br>

Quick shortcut/favourites for menu diving (eg Im forever scrolling through the menu looking for the joystick setting to change chord types)

Quicker way to switch off the metrononme

Midi - Getting HiChord to be recognised as a midi device on Teenage Engineering instruments - and when it does work - make it work without needing a full battery charge

Undo would be amazing

Battery optimisation
