First week was fine, but now there's a message that says something along the lines of, "you must claim the previous week's awards to get new rewards" and the button is greyed out.

How do you freaking break a login event?

I’m thinking abt getting one of these expansions, but I don’t know which. Im leaning towards hsy, but ive heard that it can be pretty buggy (i was hoping it wouldn’t be as bad in the big 26). The idea of sending a sim to college and playing their experience also interests me though.

I know there are some mods to fix some of the shortcomings from the dlcs and I can add stuff from the gallery to make the schools more appealing, but what would yall recommend?

Note: I am not a huge fan of rabbit holes, cuz I usually focus my gameplay on only one sim prior to getting married or having a kid, so that plays a big factor.

i’m not even going to bother posting this in the main sims 4 sub since I know it will be taken down immediately, so I’m hoping somebody can help me here.

for a little over a week now, my game has been stuck on the loading screen when I try to start the game and play as my main sim on their home lot. I am sometimes able to play as a different sim on a different lot, but I can tell something is still wrong because all of the lots disappear in the game (they still show in the map view).

I have done every single troubleshooting method I have found recommended online. I’ve removed all my mods, I have removed the specified folders in the sims file on my computer, I even removed all the saves and tried to start totally fresh. The game ran normally for a bit then crashed when I tried to place a lot.

this is super disappointing and frustrating to me as I have put a ton of time and effort into all of my lots. I also went through a full very veggie challenge and was starting a new challenge with the next generation. I think this might be part of the issue, maybe the large family is too much for the game to handle on my laptop? I am able to play as other Sims unrelated to my main sim but if I try to start the game with one of their family members even, it will get stuck. It could also possibly be linked to a gallery lot that I placed, because I noticed I started having issues after I replaced a few different lots at once.

Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!

I'm trying the 100 baby challenge for the first time. I never had before bc I hate, genuinely HATE infants and how buggy they are (seriously, who asked for them?), but the new update promised to fix that, so I started the save after updating bc I knew some of the fixes only applied to new saves.

Nothing's fixed, taking care of infants is still hell. Even specific bugs that were in the patch notes, like sims for some reason putting infants down before picking them up again, are still there. I genuinely had to download that joke "infants are objects" mod to make the game remotely playable, but it's not fun still. I might start just skipping the infant life stage entirely, but even getting them to blow out candles bugs out all the time :))))))

Why? Genuine question. I want to make a video about this on my page, but I’m scared of the backlash… Yes ai as a whole is an issue that needs to be addressed, but specifically the use of AI pfps or the virtual backdrops have REALLLY been irking me. Because.. it’ll literally be an ai picture of the simmer or a fucking ai picture of the simmer at a gaming desk… Like I actually know where you can get an image like that… and you have made it…. OR EVEN ASK SOMEONE TO MAKE IT FOR YOU. FFS! The amount of AI pfps I’ve seen when mfs can just open Canva really makes me SICK! Like whyyyyyy!! Now we can only assume you use ai for your content too yk?😭😭 Literally had to unfollow and remove a mutual because she made a post saying she asked chatgpt to make her into a sim and then asked ppl to make that sim and to upload it to the gallery…..

Like I hate to write ppl off and to keep community I know having conversations and explaining to people why their actions are harmful is the way to go. But it really irks me and feels like they’re saying.. idgaf fuck you.

Okay, okay. I don't know if it's a bad idea but I'm thinking about deleting almost every CC for Sims 4 that I have. Except hairstyles, lashes and some make-up.

Like I think Sims 4 "evolved" to more quality items over years and I have most of the DLCs, so I'm really thinking of deleting most of CCs. Tho there are still some CCs i really adore. What you guys think, should I play it with what is given? 😭

I've been playing the game offline for three or four years, finally logged back in specifically to get more tattoos from the gallery. And the gallery will sometimes work, but will often just say "no results found". Did some searching and found posts going back to 2024 with the exact same issue??? Is that just how it is now? How long has the gallery just been broken?

I haven’t updated since before the marketplace as I just now started playing again after some months. Did the updates actually fix that much that it’s worth having to update my mods?
