The Saint’s song of Love 🧡

🌟 I heard the above poetry in Acharya Prashant’s Sant Sarita session where he was teaching one of Saint Rumi’s poetic song on ‘Love’.

I had heard about Saint Rumi even before but never got immersed in his lines this much deeply which I felt through that session. Maybe because it was the first time when I was understanding Saint Rumi’s song in the light of ‘Vedanta’. It’s like as if Vedanta is magical.. although it doesn’t deal with mysticism or magic but I don’t know why every time I try to understand any great poetry or song in the light of Vedanta, the understanding itself start turning magical.

✨ Saint Rumi’s above poetry is saying:
“Love is to fly towards the sky,
like unhiding hundreds of covers every moment..”

🪶 We think we know love.. just know it all already!! And that’s why we think why to bother or enquire about it anymore?? If there is something already uncovered in our eyes, why do we ever try to enquire about the known cover anymore?? We assume that the final cover is the one which is already visible to our known eyes.. Maybe that’s where Saint Rumi is trying to bring our attention towards.

If truth is the light which helps us to investigate the ‘false’, then how can anything already known be true?? Because if what you already know is true, then why do you even need the light of ‘Truth’ anymore!!

🪶 So if we want to enquire understanding true ‘Love’ in the light of truth, it can’t be definitely then all of that which is already the known famous version of love.. So, how can just a mere ‘harmonal activity/attraction’ justify to be even referred as ‘Love’?? It can’t be Love at all.. Its just some bodily activity which has nothing to do with love..
It’s like as if some random common phenomenon has hijacked such a beautiful word ‘Love’..

🪶 So what’s Love according to Saint Rumi then?
~ Maybe the answer lies in the poem itself ie., “unhiding hundreds of covers every moment..”
According to him, the only way to Love is to fly continuously towards the sky through ‘uncovering’ the false every moment. The more you will uncover the false, the more you will fly one step above towards the sky. The more you keep on admitting the ‘harmonal’ as love, the more you will fall apart from the sky. The equation is simple!!

🪶 There is no space for the false when you are in the flight towards that sky.. Once you have started, either you fly higher or you fall apart in the lower!!
As Saint Rumi said, there is that ‘choice’ available every moment.. It’s in our hands whether we want to fly towards the sky or we want to fall apart from the sky. The flight can be taken only in love because that’s the only thing which makes you forget about the results.. the results of whether you will fall or not?

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

👉 Saint Rumi here sang an amazing song describing true love! Do you think we understand the saint’s love? Or we just give some shallow definitions to any bodily process and call it love??

Ladki

Hindi Dubbed Movies and Shows

Hi All,

I'm trying to learn Hindi as an English speaker from the United States. Where do you usually find Hindi dubs for various media?

I already use Netflix, Einthusan, and YouTube. I also heard that Hotstar has a decent collection, but I haven't tried it yet.

I'm mostly interested in rewatching things I am already familiar with so that I can get language listening exposure without any subtitles.

Some examples of things I'm looking for are:

  • Ratatouille
  • SpongeBob SquarePants
  • Any/All Studio Ghibli Movies

I'm a complete beginner, so looking to start with kid-targeted media for simpler language. Once my listening comprehension is good enough, I'll likely go back to watching regular Bollywood movies and rewatching my favorite regular shows/movies in Hindi dub. (Silicon Valley, Black Mirror, Better Call Saul, Suits, Severance, The Office, etc.)

From what I've seen the best path is likely VPN into another country for a better Netflix catalog (including Hindi dubs of all studio Ghibli movies). Then I would separately purchase a Hotstar subscription for the Ratatouille, SpongeBob SquarePants, and any other Disney/Pixar/Nickelodeon content.

Let me know if you have any other recommendations for easy media to start with as well! I know some have recommended Chhota Bheem lol.

Thank you in advance!

Update: Just VPNed into Canada to watch Spirited Away in Hindi dub on Netflix. To my untrained ear, the dub sounds amazing.

Aaina | A Bond That Stays

Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing well.

The song Aaina is about the bond we share with the people who raised us.

Love, sacrifices, understanding, distance, and countless memories held over a lifetime.

No matter how far our own paths take us, there’s an invisible thread that keeps us connected.

The song moves through longing, gratitude, reflection, and belonging, and it’s a reminder that home isn’t just a place.

It’s the love and warmth we carry with us wherever we go.

This song is brought to life by a wonderful group of artists.
