Who decides what gets exposed?

Hi. I used to be able to see current temperature, operating mode, set point, etc from my MYSA thermostats. I was actually using these on some automations. Then one day, the automatons stopped, and I notices that some items that where exposed before are not exposed anymore.
Is this because MYSA stoppped exposing them?
Is it because HomeKit does not want to expose them?
This change a while back, just thought I would ask the question.

How can I gain access tho these as I used to

Built a family app where presence drives HomeKit — who's home, lights/locks in one view

I'm an iOS dev and a HomeKit nerd, so I built the thing my family actually uses. Two rules: only features we use ourselves, and it has to feel native.

Right now it shows who's home (background presence, no check-ins), plus lights, temperature and a lock-all button on the same screen. There's a Home Screen widget for presence + lock.

What I keep going back and forth on: should arrivals be able to trigger scenes directly, or is that Home app's job and I should stay out of it? Curious what you'd want.

Happy to drop a link if anyone wants it.

Apple HomeKit ceiling Fan

I have apple HomeKit stuff in my house and I want to get a large ceiling fan that is HomeKit or Matter compatible. I have 4 smaller ones for my kids room with Hunter. However Hunter 70-72inch fans are over $500 and I don't want to spend that for my two spaces I need the larger fans. I want to stay around $200 if possible. I do know that Hunter will be coming out with a matte compatible upgrade for AC motor fans. However most fans are DC motor so I have had no luck finding anything. I also know I could do a bridge to connect it to HomeKit but agin that's over my ability. pleas no adds I just need help.

Can I use the Tapo H110 Smart IR & IoT Hub with Apple HomeKit via Matter?

Hey everyone! New to smart home stuff. I got a Tapo H110 IR Hub to control my AC and other IR devices with Apple Home/Siri. I only have a HomePod mini. Since the H110 supports Matter, can I add it to Apple Home and control the IR devices too? Any tips? and How? Thanks!
