Did the keyed slot on my spark advancer spin?

Bike is a 1982 185s. I cannot get the spark advancer to get anywhere close to lining up with the CDI with the engine at TDC on the compression stroke. I have checked the cam timing and it looks good.

I noticed the keyed slot on the spark advancer is not in the same position as others I’ve seen. Is it possible it spun within that bracket?

1981 185s Crankshaft Thread Size

Hoping someone can confirm what size the threads are on the crankshaft of this 185s so I can get the proper size die to try to restore the threads. I believe it’s 12mm but not sure what pitch it is. Thanks

74 ATC70 Facelift

I have had this 1974 ATC70 for about eight years. The day after I bought it I tried to start it and ride it and the pull start broke. Since then is has been chilling. I often air up the tires to keep them from going flat and getting ruined. I decided it was time to get it into shape and make sure it’s still ran. I began by looking to see where my first generation ATC 70 pull starts were after finding them. I decided it was time to begin. The only real place to start though is by draining the oil and giving it a fresh .8 L of 1030. I put in a new spark plug. That gave me an opportunity to check if it had spark and check that the new pull start worked OK. I also replaced the fuel lines. They were pretty hard. I thought what the heck and I put in a fuel filter. Fortunately I’m a genius and didn’t think about the fact that I should have two of them and I don’t even want to hear it. Trust me I’m going to put another one on there before we know it. Then it was time for the test. I went ahead and put some fuel in the tank not very much because I still planned on doing a couple more things where I didn’t want a lot of fuel to deal with. I gave it full choke and made sure the petcock was to reserve. I watched the fuel filter filled with fuel then it was time to give it a couple poles. I took about eight of them before we came to Fire that was enough for me to go onto my next step. It was time to clean it thoroughly. Once I had it nice and clean, I switched out the old red grips that were on it that looked like they went on a dirt bike for some original ones that were in pretty decent shape. I tightened up the chain and then I lubricated it well I had some new fenders laying around than I went ahead and used for the back. I left the old broken one on the front for now. The main reason I did that is because I plan on replacing the front forks you can see in the photo that they are damaged and missing the turn stop. They are in pretty rough shape as well. I have some wheels that were sandblasted and powder coated that I’m going to use. Other than that I’m not sure if I’m going to do anything about the fuel tank and other cosmetic issues but I’m happy to hear what everyone thinks. I cleaned this thing for over three hours so go easy on me.

1985 Honda ATC 70 - D2G 72v

Got as far as I can get with my restomod 72v ATC. Really happy with how it turned out, and now I’m just waiting on a finished replica tank from India.

So far I’ve gotten it up to 40mph, but I think she has a little more to give.

Can't find right manifold

Recently got what we believe is a 185s from my dad, has a craptastic condition carb on it and seems to be missing the intake manifold. all the manifolds I can find online seem to turn the carb on its side almost with how the bolts would line up, and I don't mean like the 110 bend I mean a twist... any help with pics of other 185 carbs n manifolds would be awesome 🩵

110 wont start after teardown & rebuild .

-Compression 140

-Spark plug grounded shows white spark

-Fuel lines full with fresh gas.

-Timing set

Am i missing something? 1st time rebuilder

Tore down every part and cleaned it up, thinking that would help this thing run but after all that still on the same boat.

CDI , Are all aftermarket units the same?

Im working on a 110, with a 5pin unit. I see some units like the ones from Rick motorsports for 100+ then a bunch of unbranded for ~15. They are both made in china, so what's the difference?
