I need to upgrade to another car for my family. I do atleast 300kms in a month and have 60 percent city (I live in a rural area so there is no traffic or any crowd but roads are good) drive and 40 percent highway runs.

I prefer sedans more to SUVs and hence have shortlisted both body types.

I am skeptical about the current petrol situations also but having a second car will help me on highway runs, like having enough torque to overtake on 2 lane roads and maintaining 80-90kmph without bouncing and so on.

I have driven some 80k in my brio purchased in 2016. The experience has been lovely. No problem whatsoever in these 10 years. Only serviced from the honda service.

I have driven mostly in the city but did many highway and long road trips of 1000+ to 3500+ kms in MH, KA, GA, TN, KL states. And continuing to do so with full confidence in it. The car goes wherever I take without a fuss and has been fun to drive all this while. I was slightly concerned about e20 but with Honda's announcement of E20 Material Compatibility since 2009, I feel it was good news and inspires trust to keep it running for several more years with confidence.

Being a Honda fanboy, Its been my dream car since the time i first drove a diesel honda city. But sadly the production of Honda civics stopped in 2020 and buying a new one was a farfetched dream.

Recently, i happened to glance upon one being resold in my city and although my family is against getting second hand cars... I just cant get it out of my head. I know the price being quoted is a bit high but its just the listed price and I know he'll most probably come down to 10 lacs and lower.. but is it worth to get almost 7 year old car for a fortune instead of buying a new another one?

Its also the fact that the sheer low volume of these cars that had been sold between 2019-2020 and diesel Honda civics being such a rarity with only approx 1000 sold in India...

I am also worried about the aftermarket parts availability and servicing of the car and what does it cost to maintain it in 2026 and beyond.

I currently own a 2016 Honda city Diesel with 96000 on its odo and i am prepared to sell this to get this one. Should i go for it?

On e-20 fuel. Highway mileage dropped to 15kmpl only on cruise set to 80 kmph and in the city driving 8-9kmpl.

What could be the reason. Its 80000 on odo. Any suggestions where to look at to improve efficiency

I’m looking to service my honda city and after hearing some negative reviews of the authorized cervice centers, I want to know if there are genuinely any good service centers for Honda cars? Doesn’t need to be authorized Honda service centers, I just want someone knowledgeable to look at my car.

Since dealer promised delivery within a week we did the partial payment of loan . The dealer kept on delaying it for 2 months and the entire honda escalation was a waste of time with them rerouting to the dealer . After two months of emi

And zero help from honda . A vechile arrived and with pdi done we processed the payment but since a week they haven't given a tax invoice and haven't sent the car to rto registration and they dont pick up the calls and keep ignoring

How to proceed further or how to contact the regional head

So it’s been a 3 weeks since i got the honda amaze 3rd Gen VXMT. i’m not getting anywhere above 9KMPL. I drive light footed as much as possible (high gear low rpm without stalling or knocking)

i’ve only driven this car for 250kms. is it too soon to judge it? does fuel economy have a break in period?

i live in Coimbatore so traffic isn’t as bad compared to tier 1 cities. i fill up IndianOil Normal petrol.

I feel like the fuel could be the issue. are there any other pumps anyone would suggest? should i start using premium? (XP95/Octane)

I own a first-generation Honda Amaze diesel, and recently I’ve noticed a significant drop in performance.

The car feels sluggish, especially in 1st and 2nd gear, and I now need to accelerate much harder to gain pickup. On steep roads where the car previously climbed comfortably in 2nd gear, I now have to shift down to 1st gear.

I’ve also noticed that after 80 km/h, the car struggles to accelerate and requires heavy acceleration to reach 100 km/h.

There are no check-engine lights or other warning indicators on the dashboard.

What could be causing this loss of power? Any advice on what I should check first would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
