How many of y'all are still on the original clutch?

My 1800c has 60k kms. I haven't felt any slippage in the year I've had it, but yesterday with my girl on the back, in first gear from a stop, the clutch seemed to grab a bit later than usual. I ride 2 up alot and never felt that before. As far as I know it's the original clutch. But the original owner did alot of performance mods so I can't say if he's done the clutch or not. I've heard these clutches will last over 100k kms. So what you think?

2007 1300c cold starts fine, rough running if it starts at all when hot

Hi all, have an 07 1300c, just put a new carb in it a couple weeks ago. Having an issue that is just coming up the last couple days.

Cold start it fires right up and runs with no issue. Once its hot it turns over fine but won't fire up, or will fire up but dies soon after or at best the throttle will cut out intermittently for a bit. Eventually it smooths itself out and runs like normal.

Not a battery issue, it has no trouble turning over, it just won't fire. Yesterday it left me stranded, let the engine cool and when it did start up it ran super rough, had to turn the idle as high as it would go to keep it running. Eventually smoothed out but I had to let it sit for like an hour before it would stay running again.

My only thought at this point is I did set the fuel air mix pretty high when installing the new carb and maybe its flooding when I kill the motor? But not sure. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Fuel Running Out of Carb

I have a 2006 1300 that when I go to start pours fuel out of this hole. Any suggestions on what could be causing this?

The bike ran last fall, sat over the winter, and I replaced the petcock valve last week as it was leaking.

Snapped off screw help

So… the bolt holding my Kuryakyn engine guard on my clutch side - snapped. And snapped clean off.

I cannot for the life of me drill a hole into this screw to be able to back it out with a reverse threaded drill bit.

What other options or products might you all be aware of for me to try to remedy this sad sad problem?

some questions

I am riding a VTX 1800 N.

  1. The grab rail on the rear fender is severely damaged, so I am looking to purchase a used or unused new part at a low price.

My part number is 77340MCVN10.

Will the 77340MCV000 model, which was used on the S or R models, fit?

  1. The VTX 1800 moves as if it is trying to lean slightly to the right.

Could the rear tire be affecting this?

If anyone has experienced this phenomenon, please help me.

Carb issue?

I just got a 07 VTX1300 for $1500. Its a great bike other than that it can only run with the choke pulled all the way out. I think this is beacause the carb is dirty and is running lean. Can any one confirm and what will I need to do the job? Thanks!

2007 1300c petcock leaking

When running, whether flipped to on or reserve, steady drips gas out of that small hole in the center of the left side. It does not leak if not running, and if I take the gas cap off and run it, it does not leak. Is this petcock just failing and need rebulit/replaced or is it something else? The not leaking with the gas cap off is the only reason Im questioning it being the petcock. Thanks!

1300 vs 1800 forks

I didn't realize until now that the 1800s have inverted forks to the 1300 any particular reason for this? What are the benefits?
