For those who don’t know, the wildlife in Mahual was under threat due to the construction of that site, and we had to collect signatures to stop the project. Fortunately, everything turned out well and we didn’t have to swap bodies with a manatee.

Why are so many YouTube channels uploading full-length movies?

It has recently come to my attention the amount of YouTube channels, majority of-which from other world-countries, that seemingly have a history of posting looped content, specifically of, but including, movies, for up-to 2 days straight, typically new releases from 2020 onwards, for no reason, before these videos are typically taken down due to copyright strikes. Now, majority of these channels do have a history of normal videos beforehand (Likely implying that they were hacked), but I am genuinely confused.

If you have any information on the affiliations that these channels have, or more importantly, why the heck these videos go for two days straight, please comment below.

A friend of mine’s parents are cutting off SSI from him and he’s in a bit of a tight spot. He lives in Kansas.

He has a kofi, he needs 300 before the 8th, and 700-1000 for the whole month. Also consider sharing his page on socials.

All the Pixar Easter eggs on the lab chalkboard in Hoppers - what did I miss?

Saw Hoppers today and the scientists’ brainstorming chalkboard is packed with what look like nods to other Pixar films. Wanted to compare notes.

What I’m pretty sure I spotted:
• IDEA #113 - Talking Dog Collar (center): this has to be Dug from Up. Translates canine thoughts into human language, has a dial for ENG/SPN/JPN.
• IDEA #8 - Cleaning robot with treadmills/claws (top left) and IDEA #12 - Robot with polishing tool (right): WALL-E. Possibly two separate nods though - the polishing one feels more like M-O than WALL-E himself.
• IDEA #52 - Human head with arrow to a car (top right): hopping consciousness into a car = Cars.
• IDEA #92 - Robot feline / emotional support animal (left), with the sticky note literally saying “Feline Android ‘Sox’”: Sox from Lightyear.
Stuff I think is also a reference but want a second opinion on:
• IDEA #43 - “Harness energy thru vocalization” (bottom right): battery, pressurized canister, “human vocal range 90-255 Hz” sticky note. This reads like Monsters, Inc. to me - scream energy, then laugh energy. Anyone agree?
• IDEA #4 - row of animal heads (bottom left): giraffe, ginger cat, dog, bear. The bear specifically - is this a wink to director Daniel Chong’s We Bare Bears, or am I reaching?
• IDEA #206 - “What if we trained dogs to fly? Too far. Too far”: feels like a self-aware gag. Maybe a sneaky callback to Dug floating with the house in Up? Or Planes?

Questions for the sub:

  1. Anyone catch refs I missed? I couldn’t find anything for Toy Story, Incredibles, Ratatouille, Inside Out, Coco, Soul, Luca, Turning Red, or Elemental.
  2. What does “Demichian consciousness possible??” on the green sticky note actually say - did anyone get a better read on that handwriting?
  3. The numbered ideas (#4, #8, #12, #43, #52, #92, #113, #206) - is there a pattern? Pixar feature numbers? Release order? Or am I seeing things that aren’t there?

If anyone has a clearer screencap, drop it - my phone photo from Apple TV is rough.
